Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — I Sell 58% of Shares, Sending My Ex-Husband Out of My Life
My name and my photo are clearly visible on it. The photo has been edited with photoshop, using my original card photo, but the printed effect is so close to the real thing that it's hard to distinguish. I took a photo of the divorce papers, then put them back in their original position and locked the safe. As soon as he left the office, Tan Mac Thanh carried a plate of pickled fish from the kitchen.
"Thanh Van? When did you come back?"
“Just arrived.”
“Let's go get some changes of clothes.”
His eyes glanced back and forth between me and the office door, but in the end he still said nothing.
“The rice is done, let's go after eating, okay?”
"No need."
I picked up my bag, didn't turn around and walked straight out. Behind him, he called out:
“Thanh Van…”
I don't stop walking. Returning to the apartment, I organized all of today's photos, documents and recordings into folders. Back up three copies. A cloud save. A copy is copied to a USB and locked in a bank safe. The remaining copy was sent to lawyer Trieu. It was already one o'clock in the morning when I finished everything. I lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling. It will be the first stab. At half past one o'clock the next afternoon, I arrived at the company's large meeting room ahead of time. Lawyer Trieu was present early. The suit is straight, the briefcase is neatly placed on the table.
“General Luc, all documents have been prepared.”
“The legal opinion, the draft board resolution, the list of financial audit questions... are all here.”
He patted the briefcase.
“There is an additional part.”
“Uyen Thanh Culture's business registration information and cash flow analysis.”
At one hour and fifty minutes, four independent directors entered the meeting room one after another. Truong Vi Dan. A veteran in the technology world, sixty years old, one of the founders of Due Hang. Liu Meihua. Coming from the investment world, forty-five years old, joined the board of directors three years ago. Tran Chi Cuong. Finance background, fifty-two years old, extremely sensitive to numbers. Tong An Ky. Originally a lawyer, thirty-eight years old, he is the youngest independent director. When the four people entered the meeting room, they all noticed the appearance of lawyer Trieu, each person's expression was different. Truong Vi Dan was the first to speak.
“General Luc, it seems like there's not a lot of movement today.”
“Uncle Truong, sit down.”
“Later everyone will know.”
Exactly two o'clock, Tan Mac Thanh pushed the door open and walked in. He glanced around the conference room, his eyes lingering on lawyer Trieu for a second longer. Then act as if nothing happened, pull the chair down to your position.
“Let's get started.”
he said. I stood up.
“Today's emergency board only has two contents.”
I looked at each person present in the room.
"First, in Due Hang's recent three-year financial audit report, there are serious doubts."
“Second, based on the audit results, I propose to adjust the company's senior personnel structure.”
Tan Mac Thanh's fingers slightly paused. But his expression remained unchanged.
“What doubt?”
He asked, his voice very calm. Lawyer Trieu opened the briefcase and distributed documents to each director.
“Everyone, please look at the third page.”
The sound of flipping papers rang out continuously. The third page is a statistical table. Three payments. Three contract codes. Three days to sign. Single recipient of funds. Uyen Thanh Cultural Communication Company. Total value: 26,000,000 yuan.
“These three sums of money correspond to three contracts.”
“I took the original and checked it against it.”
I pressed the remote control and the projector immediately lit up. On the screen are the key pages of the three contracts and the so-called "service results" submitted by Uyen Thanh Culture.
“Brand Strategy Plan.”
I zoom in on the content.
“The main part of this plan overlaps 93% with the free online marketing account template.”
“Even the watermark in the footer hasn't been removed yet.”
In the meeting room, there was a cold sniffle.
“Digital marketing promotion contract, committed KPI is 50 million impressions.”
“But what about reality?”
I move on to the next page.
“Uyen Thanh Culture has never submitted any promotion data reports.”
“Nor have any third-party platforms verified this metric.”
Tran Chi Cuong pushed up his glasses, bowed his head, and looked intently at the documents in his hand.
“The third contract.”
“Annual brand consulting contract, 6,000,000 yuan.”
“The list of advisors lists eight people.”
