Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — It's You Don't Need Me First
“I can't pay for it.”
“Tong Tri Mien, it's just a bracelet.”
As soon as he finished speaking, my father immediately raised his hand to slap him. Bui Chieu Xuyen quickly stopped his father.
“Uncle Tong, don't act here.”
Perhaps Chu Ky Bach also knew he had said something wrong so his voice softened.
“I didn't mean that.”
“I always had that idea.”
I clutched the other end of the evidence bag.
"In your eyes, my feelings are too much, my expectations are a matter of course, my things are just a small thing. Chu Ky Bach, it's not that you don't understand, it's that you never wanted to understand me."
He looked at me, panic finally appearing in his eyes.
"Tri Mien, we've loved each other for five years, do you really want it to end because of something today?"
“Something?”
At the end of the hallway, the sound of high heels was heard. Tham Nam Chi returned. She had replaced her slippers with flat shoes, tears still streaming down her face. As soon as she saw the nurse, her expression immediately changed.
“Ky Bach, I just went to the bathroom just now.”
The nurse frowned slightly.
“Miss Tham, you clearly asked me to deliver the things to Mr. Chu, but also said you had to go first.”
Tham Nam Chi's face turned even whiter. Chu Ky Bach looked at her.
“Nam Chi, which of your sentences is true?”
Tears welled up in her eyes again.
"Ky Bach, I'm afraid A Mien won't forgive me. I... I'm so scared."
“So you left?”
"I'm not planning on hiding. I just don't know what to do."
She walked in front of me and suddenly bowed deeply.
"A Mien, I'm sorry. I'll pay for the bracelet, I'll pay for the wedding too. Don't blame Ky Bach, it's all my fault."
“What do you get in return?”
She bit her lip.
“You can pay slowly.”
Chu's mother immediately protected her.
"Nam Chi only had good intentions. He helped Ky Bach prepare the wedding house and saw how beautiful the bracelet was so he tried it on. Mien Mien, do you really have to force her to death to agree?"
“Preparing the wedding house?”
Hua Duong immediately caught this sentence.
“Who told her to prepare the wedding house?”
Chu Ky Bach did not speak. There was a flash of panic in Tham Nam Chi's eyes. I looked at her.
“What have you prepared?”
She bowed her head.
“Just... just help make the bed, hang the balloons.”
“Our wedding bed, was it also made by you?”
She said nothing more. My mother was so angry that her face turned blue. Chu's mother was about to open her mouth when my father coldly interrupted.
"Who gave her the key to the bride's house?"
Chu Ky Bach was silent for a long time.
"At that time, Tri Mien was busy trying on makeup, Nam Chi said she was free and could help me look after her a little."
Hua Duong was so angry that his whole body was shaking.
“The bride is busy preparing for the wedding, and you let another woman make the wedding bed?”
Chu Ky Bach tiredly put his hand between his eyebrows.
“I don't think that much.”
Just one sentence, "I don't think so much", negated all his explanations. Tham Nam Chi suddenly raised his head.
"A Mien, if you really can't accept it, I can leave this city. As long as you and Ky Bach live happily together, I will leave."
After speaking, she turned and ran straight towards the elevator. His steps were agile, not at all like someone who had just sprained a sprain. Chu Ky Bach reflexively chased after two steps. Hua Duong immediately shouted:
“Chu Ky Bach, you dare to chase her again try!”
His steps stopped. Tham Nam Chi turned his head, his face full of tears.
“Ky Bach, don't care about me anymore.”
At that moment, the elevator door opened. Inside stood a middle-aged woman, wearing a jacket that had faded from being washed too many times, and carrying a thermos in her hand. As soon as she saw Tham Nam Chi, she was stunned. Immediately after that, his eyes turned red.
“Chi Chi, I finally found you.”
Tham Nam Chi seemed to be nailed to the spot. The tears on her face had not yet dried, but her lips were already white and bloodless. Chu Ky Bach was also stunned.
“Who are you?”
The middle-aged woman looked at him, then looked at the crowd filling the hallway, awkwardly rubbing her hands.
“I am Nam Chi's mother, Ly Que Cam.”
As soon as that name was uttered... Chu's mother was the first to change her expression.
“No way. Didn't Nam Chi say his parents passed away a long time ago?
Ly Que Cam was stunned.
“Who lost? His father is still working at the construction site in the countryside, I called him yesterday."
Tham Nam Chi suddenly rushed forward and grabbed her arm tightly.
“What are you doing here, Mom?”
Being squeezed by her, the thermos in Ly Que Cam's hand almost fell.
“My aunt said someone was having a wedding here today. Mom heard the groom's name was similar to Ky Bach, so she came over to take a look. Chi Chi, why don't you answer the phone? Mom stewed the soup and brought it to you."
The entire hallway was silent. All eyes turned to Tham Nam Chi. Chu Ky Bach's voice was hoarse.
"Nam Chi, didn't you say that after your parents divorced, they both didn't need you anymore, and for all these years you've always lived alone?"
