She paused for a moment then asked:

"Your company... boss Luc Binh, does he have any relationship with the Hua family?"

I was stunned.

"Luc Binh? Boss of my company?"

Ninh Giai said.

“Do you know that Luc Binh and Hua Dai Thanh are college friends?”

I was momentarily speechless.

“Today I met Hua Dai Thanh at a party.”

She continued.

“He sat with Luc Binh.”

“After knowing that I knew you, he specifically took me aside to ask me privately.”

“Ask you where you've been working recently and what you're busy with.”

I stood in the middle of the apartment's living room. Outside the window, it was already dark.

“Does he know you?”

“We've met a few times before at social occasions.”

Ninh Giai replied.

“He knows I'm a lawyer but doesn't know you and I are close.”

“Thieu Hoa, I won't answer anything.”

“But just the fact that he went to inquire about your work… that in itself is worth being wary of.”

I silently arranged all that information in my head.

“Thank you, Ninh Giai.”

“I will pay attention.”

After hanging up the phone, I stood in the living room for a long time. Hua Dai Thanh and Luc Binh are college friends. I never knew this before. The project at my current company is mainly in charge of me. Customers are satisfied. Progress is also very favorable. But if Hua Dai Thanh really wants to do something... I picked up my phone and texted Luc Binh:

"Mr. Luc, if it's convenient, can I talk to you privately for five minutes before work tomorrow morning?"

He replied very quickly:

“Okay, nine o'clock in the morning, come to my office.”

The next morning, I arrived at the company ten minutes early. At exactly nine o'clock, I knocked on Luc Binh's office door. He sat behind his desk, a cup of coffee in his hand. Seeing me walk in, he pointed to the chair opposite:

“What's wrong?”

I sat down and got straight to the point:

“General Luc, I heard that you and Hua Dai Thanh are old classmates.”

His movement of holding the coffee cup stopped. Then he raised his head and looked at me. Three seconds of silence.

“Who told you?”

"Not important."

I calmly replied.

“I just want to ask you directly, has he ever sought you out to talk about me?”

Luc Binh put down his coffee cup and leaned back in his chair. The eyes looking at me carried a feeling of both evaluation and excitement that I couldn't describe.

“Thieu Hoa.”

He asked suddenly.

“How old are you this year?”

“Twenty-nine.”

“Twenty-nine years old and dare to come directly into my office to ask this kind of thing…”

He smiled slightly.

“It's not simple.”

I didn't say anything, just waited for him to continue.

“Hua Dai Thanh called me last week.”

he said.

“Tell me to pay attention to your recent status.”

"Say there's something going on at your house, don't let it affect your work."

“What does he mean he wants you to monitor me?”

“He didn't use that word.”

Luc Binh replied faintly.

“But the idea is almost the same.”

I nodded.

“So how does Mr. Luc plan to handle it?”

He picked up the coffee cup, took a sip and then put it down. Then he said something that made me completely see clearly the direction of this game.

“Thieu Hoa.”

“Hua Dai Thanh is my old classmate.”

“But you are the most valuable creative director in my company.”

"What happens happens, I'm very clear in my heart."

He paused for a moment then continued:

“Just rest assured and do your project.”

“No one will touch you.”

“But the Hua family... you should also think clearly about what you want to do What."

“It's not beneficial for you to prolong it.”

I stood up and said thank you. As he walked to the door, Luc Binh suddenly spoke from behind:

“Thieu Hoa.”

“I've been through a lot of things.”

“I have a sentence for you.”

"Any money can be borrowed, any debt can be calculated."

“But people's hearts…”

“If you want to make it listen to you, you must first have the strength to speak up.”

I paused for a second then turned to look at him.

“I understand.”

“Thank you, Mr. Luc.”

That afternoon, I sat at the company and finished editing the final version of the plan. After sending the email, seeing the words "sent successfully", I breathed a sigh of relief. Then I turned on my phone and texted Tran Chi Vien:

“Let's meet tonight, I have something to say.”

He replied very quickly:

“Okay, you choose a place.”

I made an appointment at a small restaurant downstairs from the apartment. Not far away, walk five minutes. At seven o'clock in the evening, he arrived on time. At that time, I was already sitting in the restaurant. He sat down opposite me, looked at my face and wanted to say something but stopped. I spoke first:

“Chi Vien, there are some things I want to clarify with you.”

He nodded.

“First.”

I looked at him.

"The matter of Giang Duyet, as you said before getting married, is over."

"I don't know if it's true or not, there's no need to investigate."

“But that will affect the way you see me.”

“This you must accept.”
