Chapter 17
Chapter 17 — My grandmother tore up my admission notice, and tore up my status as a Thien Kim Hao Mon
Uncle Tan took out another file.
“Can remember.”
“Because the personnel records from that year still exist.”
He showed the papers for everyone to see.
“The person who registered to use this office is the second master.”
Chatter immediately arose. The smile on the second uncle's face disappeared.
“Are you doubting me?”
I calmly replied:
“I'm just asking for the truth.”
Right at that moment. Tham Duyet suddenly spoke up.
“You can't just slander your second uncle just because of the charity fund.”
I looked at her.
“Do you understand what slander means?”
Tham Duyet immediately became speechless. I took another set of documents. A copy of the testimony of the owner of the old bookstore.
“Every year the money is transferred to the Lam family.”
“Originally, it all came from an account in Kinh Thi.”
Uncle Tan continued.
“The person in charge of the account is the second lady's distant cousin.”
The second aunt banged on the table and stood up. Mr. Tham sat in the chair position. The voice is not loud. But it was enough to make the whole room silent.
“Let him finish.”
Uncle Tan continued:
“This cousin's company.”
“There are many cooperation transactions with projects led by the second family.”
Everyone's faces changed. Second uncle stood up.
“Do you even believe such baseless speculations?”
Old man Tham looked straight at him.
“It doesn't matter whether I believe it or not.”
“Please explain.”
The atmosphere was silent for a few seconds. The first person who couldn't stand it was the second aunt.
“But it wasn't us who made her go missing that year!”
The whole room was immediately silent. I looked at her.
“So who is it?”
The second aunt suddenly realized that she had just said something wrong. White face. The second uncle closed his eyes. Tham Duyet also looked at the two of them in surprise. Second aunt burst into tears.
“That year really wasn't me.”
“I just got a phone call.”
“They said something happened to my sister-in-law in the hospital.”
“Tell me to go there immediately.”
“I left while Tri Ha was still in the stroller.”
“When I come back…”
“The child is gone.”
My father, Tham Minh Vien, asked coldly:
“So why don't you say it?”
The second aunt cried even louder.
“I'm afraid people will blame me.”
I looked at her.
“What about the money transferred to the Lam family?”
The second aunt immediately fell silent. The second uncle spoke up. My mother stood up.
“Do you know where she is?”
The second uncle laughed self-deprecatingly.
“I can only investigate later.”
“Knowing that the baby is likely at the Lam family's house.”
“Then why didn't you say it?”
The second uncle looked towards Mr. Tham.
“Because then…”
“Dad is preparing to transfer half of his inheritance to his eldest brother.”
“If Tri Ha returns.”
“The position of the eldest brother's family will be even stronger.”
He smiled faintly.
“I'm not willing.”
The whole room felt like it had been struck by lightning. Even Tham Duyet took two steps back. Eyes full of surprise. My mother's voice trembled.
“Just for that?”
“Just for money and inheritance?”
The second uncle did not answer. My father stepped forward. Don't say a word. Punch him straight in the face. The second uncle staggered backwards. The corner of the mouth was bleeding. But no one stepped forward to help him. Old man Tham closed his eyes. Looks like he's aged a lot.
“Minh Thanh.”
“You disappoint me so much.”
The second uncle wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
“From small to large.”
“In my father's eyes, there is only my eldest brother.”
Mr. Tham opened his eyes. His eyes were cold as ice.
"People do not favor the eldest son."
“But people have limits.”
I looked at my second uncle.
“So for eighteen years.”
“I know where you live where."
“But I still see the Lam family receiving money to control me.”
The second uncle gritted his teeth.
“I didn't tell them to harm you.”
“But you gave them a reason to harm me.”
He was completely unable to refute. Right at that moment. Tham Duyet suddenly rushed in front of me.
“What about me?”
She turned to look at her second uncle and second aunt.
“Did you all know she would return?”
“That's why you pushed me out as cannon fodder?”
The second aunt sobbed.
“Browse Browse.”
“We truly love you.”
Tham Duyet burst out laughing. Bitter laughter.
“Love me?”
“If you really love me…”
“Then why did you let me confront her?”
“Let me become the most hated person in the Tham family?”
No one can answer. Because for the first time. Tham Duyet understood. The person who took advantage of her the most... was not Tham Tri Ha. Those are the people she trusts the most. Tham Duyet turned to look at me. For the first time, there was no longer any arrogance in her eyes.
“Tham Tri Ha.”
“I lost.”
I calmly replied:
“You have never lost to me.”
“The one you lost…”
“It's a position that she always wants to rely on others to maintain.”
Tham Duyet's face turned pale. She took steps back to the corner of the room. Don't say another word. Mr. Tham directly stated:
“Shen Minh Thanh withdrew from all family management work.”
“The charity fund will be jointly supervised by Tri Ha and Uncle Tan.”
The second uncle immediately raised his head. Old man Tham looked at him coldly.
“I want to save face.”
“I left it to you.”
“If you continue to cause trouble…”
“Then you don't even need to save face anymore.”
The second uncle stood dumbfounded. Finally, slowly sit down. In just a few short minutes. He seemed to have aged ten years. The second aunt cried and pulled his hand. But it was thrown away strongly.
“It's all because you're useless!”
