Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — My grandmother tore up my admission notice, and tore up my status as a Thien Kim Hao Mon
The whole office was immediately in chaos. Grandma rushed forward to cover my mouth. Mr. Tham quickly blocked in front of me. Uncle Tan held her tightly. The female reporter was surprised:
“Biological parents?”
At this point, Tham Duyet was also frantic.
“Don't let her talk nonsense!”
“The Tham family's story cannot be broadcast on television!”
Mr. Tham coldly replied:
“Just let her talk.”
I took out the silver lock.
“Now I have the possibility of being the daughter of the Tham family who has been lost for eighteen years.”
“But today what I want to talk about most is not that.”
I looked straight into the lens.
“Even if my last name is Lam or Tham.”
“My score is real.”
“No one has the right to destroy my path because of fear of the truth being exposed.”
The female reporter's hand trembled slightly. Grandma sat down on the ground, crying and screaming.
“It wants to force us to death!”
My father pointed his finger at me.
“Do you still have a conscience?”
I calmly replied:
“My conscience is not to help you lie.”
Trieu Lan suddenly rushed in front of me.
“Nem Niem…”
“Mom kneels down and begs me.”
Mrs. Tham immediately stepped forward to help me back, as if afraid that Trieu Lan would touch me. Trieu Lan sobbed.
“Don't broadcast.”
“Please don't let them broadcast it.”
I looked at her.
“So mom, tell me.”
“Who took you away that year?”
Trieu Lan immediately fell silent. I turned to look at my grandmother.
“Grandma, tell me.”
Grandma shook her head. Mr. Tham spoke:
“Uncle Qin.”
“Take them to take statements.”
Grandma shouted:
“You can't do that!”
Uncle Tan calmly replied:
“No one arrested her.”
“Just taking a statement.”
My grandmother looked at me with eyes full of resentment.
“Lam Niem.”
“You will regret it.”
I laughed.
“What I regret most…”
“It's because I didn't run sooner in my previous life.”
When Tham Duyet heard that, he frowned.
“You always talk about past lives, past lives.”
“Are you pretending to be pitiful?”
I looked at her.
“You don't need to understand.”
The interview had to stop midway. But the news has spread everywhere. Just for one afternoon. The whole town knows. The valedictorian of the entire province may be the lost heirloom of the Tham family in Kinh Thi. My adoptive family almost destroyed my admission notice. That afternoon. The DNA sample has been taken. Results must wait two days. I was arranged to stay at the district's guest house. Teacher Tran stayed with me to take care of me. Mrs. Tham insisted on renting the room right next to her. Someone knocked on my door. It's Tham Duyet. She crossed her arms and stood at the door.
“Lam Niem.”
“Let's talk a little.”
Teacher Tran was about to close the door. I shook my head.
“Let her talk.”
Tham Duyet walked in. His voice was calm but alert.
“I have lived in the Tham family for eighteen years.”
“In my parents' eyes, I was always the only girl.”
“You suddenly appeared.”
“The family will be in chaos.”
I asked directly:
“Are you afraid I'll steal something?”
She laughed.
“Don't take yourself too seriously.”
“The Tham family's relatives, my parents' friends, my classmates…”
“Everyone knows that I am the genius of the Tham family.”
“Even if you are real.”
“It's just someone who returned midway.”
Teacher Tran frowned.
“When you talk, pay attention.”
Tham Duyet did not pay attention. Just look at me.
“I can help you.”
“If you accept a sum of money.”
“Continue to have the last name Lam.”
“Still going to college normally.”
“Don't go back to Kinh Thi.”
"How much?"
Her eyes immediately lit up.
“You just name the price.”
I laughed.
“Okay.”
“Then give me the position of the daughter of the Tham family.”
Tham Duyet's face immediately changed. I looked at her.
“See?”
“You know it yourself.”
“There are things money cannot buy.”
Tham Duyet gritted his teeth.
“Don't be too greedy.”
I ask in return:
“Who is the greedy person?”
She took a step forward.
“Lam Niem.”
“The Tham family is not a place you can just walk into if you want.”
I opened the room door.
“Then let the Tham family answer.”
Mr. Tham and Mrs. Tham are standing there. Tham Duyet's face immediately turned pale.
“Dad... mom..."
“I didn't mean that.”
Mr. Tham looked at her.
“So what do you mean?”
Tham Duyet's tears immediately fell.
“I'm just afraid she'll get hurt.”
First time. Mrs. Tham looked at her with cold eyes.
“She's been hurt enough.”
Tham Duyet looked at me. The resentment in his eyes could no longer be hidden. The trouble has just begun. Two days later. DNA testing results have been sent. Uncle Tan personally brought the documents.
