Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — My Restaurant Is Not Free
Chu Hao's face turned pale, but he still tried to remain calm, stiff-necked and shouted:
“What about bullies?”
“This is between me and Tham Van Ninh, what does it have to do with you?”
Ly Hung took a step forward. The pressure around his body suddenly dropped, causing the temperature in the restaurant to seem to drop somewhat:
“Don't you know that Ms. Tham transferred this restaurant to me?”
"Today, Ms. Tham is only here to help me take care of and hand over work."
"You owe money to the restaurant, which means you owe me money. Tell me, does this matter have anything to do with me?"
Hearing that, Chu Hao said without hesitation:
“No way!”
"This restaurant was apparently opened by Tham Van Ninh with her dowry. It has only been open for more than a month. How could it be transferred to you?"
“Don't try to scare me!”
Chu Minh Vien also looked straight at Ly Hung and said seriously:
“Mr. Ly, there must be a misunderstanding about this.”
"This restaurant indeed belongs to my wife, Tham Van Ninh. She has always valued the restaurant and cannot arbitrarily transfer it to someone else. Surely you are wrong."
The mother-in-law also stepped forward, affirming:
"That's right, Tham Van Ninh poured his entire dowry into this. Every day he works hard to take care of the restaurant, just hoping for a good business. How could he suddenly transfer the restaurant?"
Looking at the confident expressions of all three people, I felt a bit funny. What they said was right, I really appreciate this restaurant. Because the restaurant spent all the dowry my parents gave me. That is their enthusiasm, and also my hope. From choosing the location, renovating to hiring staff, I do it all myself. Even for each dish on the menu, the chef and I had to try more than ten versions over and over before deciding on the final recipe. For a month since the opening day, I woke up every day at five o'clock in the morning to go to the market to choose the freshest ingredients. After closing at two o'clock in the morning, I still had to check the books until dawn. Every day he worked non-stop, so tired that he fell asleep as soon as he lay down, not even having time to breathe. My only wish is to run a good restaurant business. But after the opening, every few days Chu Hao would bring people to the temple to eat and drink for free, treating my enthusiasm and hope as his free canteen. The first time was opening day. He brought two or three friends and ate more than eight hundred yuan. I think the first time my brother-in-law came to support me, I thought I was inviting guests so I didn't think much of it. Two days later, he brought seven or eight people with him and ate more than three thousand yuan. At that time, Chu Minh Vien said that everyone is one family, don't calculate too much. After that, Chu Hao came almost every day. Sometimes we eat one meal at noon, then come back to eat another meal in the evening. Every time he ordered good wine and expensive dishes. In one month, he came eighteen times, the total bill was just over one hundred thousand yuan. Because of him, the restaurant is full of customers every day but still doesn't earn enough revenue. Not only is the business not profitable for a month, but it also owes seven or eighty thousand yuan. I wanted Chu Minh Vien to take care of my younger brother, but he said:
"My younger brother is very proud. If you force him to pay, what face will he have? We're all family, give in a little." Go."
Just like that, I gave in for a month. I endured until Chu Hao slapped me three times in a row right in front of everyone. Hold on until the whole family wants to ride on top of me and trample on me. I don't want to hold back anymore. The most ridiculous thing is that they know how much I value this restaurant, yet they still let Chu Hao trample on my heart.
“Tham Van Ninh, say something. You certainly haven't transferred the restaurant, right?"
“They must be wrong, right?”
My mother-in-law looked at me, constantly urging me to explain. But I took the contract out of the drawer, walked up to them and said seriously:
“I have indeed transferred the restaurant. Currently this restaurant belongs to owner Ly."
“All the money you owe the restaurant today is Boss Ly's money.”
Hearing what I said, my mother-in-law suddenly stiffened. Chu Hao's face turned pale, even his voice trembled:
“This… How is this possible?”
Chu Minh Vien stared at the transfer contract in my hand. Face full of disbelief:
“Van Ninh, have you really transferred the restaurant?”
I nodded:
“Not wrong.”
I turned to the last page of the contract, showed the signature to him and read every word clearly:
"I, Tham Van Ninh, voluntarily transfer all ownership and business rights of Canh Duyet restaurant to Mr. Ly Hung at the agreed transfer price, effective from today."
"The transfer process has been confirmed by an independent appraisal unit, a lawyer's office witnessed the entire process and all procedures for changing business registration have been completed."
I stopped and looked at Chu Minh Vien's completely devastated face:
