Chapter 5 — My Restaurant Is Not Free

“You speak carefully.”
"I transferred the restaurant through a legal brokerage unit, with an independent appraisal agency, a witness lawyer and a full business registration change procedure. The entire process is completely transparent."
“If you continue to slander, I guarantee that I will report you to the police and sue you for defamation.”
Seeing my serious expression, my mother-in-law was stunned. Then, she pursed her lips, full of disapproval:
“Don't threaten me with reporting to the police.”
“I also want to report to the police and report your murderous restaurant!”
Hearing his mother-in-law say that, Chu Hao's eyes lit up:
“Yes, call the police!”
“They are a scammer restaurant, you must report them to the police!”
As he spoke, Chu Hao took out his phone and called the police on the spot:
“Hello, I want to report a case.”
"There is a predatory restaurant here. The restaurant owner teamed up with a group of outsiders to extort money and force us to pay five hundred thousand yuan. You guys come quickly and handle it!"
After telling the restaurant address to the person on the other end of the line, Chu Hao hung up the phone and looked at me and Ly Hung proudly:
"Just wait, the police are about to arrive. Then I'll see how you guys handle it."
“Extortion, confiscation of property, enough to put you in prison for several years!”
Ly Hung crossed his arms over his chest and smirked:
"Report to the police? Just fine, let them come and judge who stole and then dares to slander others."
Not long after, Captain Ngo Thao brought several policemen. As soon as he entered, Captain Ngo looked around the scene and raised his voice to ask:
“Who reported the crime?”
Chu Hao immediately raised his hand:
“I, I'm the one reporting!”
“Captain Ngo, this restaurant is a chop restaurant.”
He pointed at me, agitatedly accusing:
"My sister-in-law joined forces with outsiders to harm me. Just for one meal, she asked me to pay five hundred thousand yuan."
“You must judge for me!”
Captain Ngo looked at me, then looked at the contract in my hand:
“What is this?”
I calmly gave him the contract:
“Captain Ngo, this is the restaurant I just transferred this morning.”
“The procedure for changing business registration is complete, the entire process is legal and in accordance with regulations.”
"This afternoon, Chu Hao brought all his relatives and friends to the entire restaurant and proactively asked to bring the most expensive wines and dishes."
“The restaurant has cameras monitoring the entire process, with order receipts and employee confirmation.”
“They ate the food, drank the wine, and everything that needed to be packed was already packed, but they wanted to wipe their mouths and leave without paying, so they were stopped by the new restaurant owner.”
“Now they don't want to pay so they reported to the police and slandered us.”
Captain Ngo received the contract, flipped through a few pages and then looked at Chu Hao:
“Is what she said true?”
Chu Hao frowned and immediately argued:
"Of course that's not true. I had absolutely no idea the restaurant had changed owners."
“If I had known, I wouldn't have been able to order so much wine and food.”
“Tham Van Ninh deliberately hid me, dug a hole for me to jump into!”
Captain Ngo's face changed and he couldn't help but ask:
“You don't know that the restaurant changed owners, so do you know that you have to pay to eat and drink in the restaurant?”
Chu Hao was stunned. The mother-in-law immediately interjected:
“Captain Ngo, you can't say that.”
“We are all one family, Tham Van Ninh married into our house, her restaurant is our restaurant. When family members eat and drink together, why talk about money?
Captain Ngo interrupted her and said coldly:
“A family can eat five hundred thousand yuan in one meal?”
“Do your families normally eat like that?”
The mother-in-law's voice lowered:
"Isn't it my youngest son's birthday today? He invited all his relatives and friends to celebrate, so he accidentally ate too much?"
Captain Ngo was not distracted by her at all, and coldly snorted:
“Accidentally ate too much?”
“The menu clearly states that, you guys specialize in choosing the most expensive things to eat.”
“A meal that costs five hundred thousand yuan is considered inconsiderate?”
Seeing that Captain Ngo immediately saw through everything, her mother-in-law quickly changed the subject, changed her crying voice and rushed in front of him:
“Captain Ngo, you don't know. This daughter-in-law of mine has always had a cruel heart. Just because my youngest son slapped him a few times that day, he held a grudge and joined forces with outsiders to harm us."

“So today's meal was ordered by your son himself?”
Chu Hao stiff-necked and said:

“Did the staff tell you the price? Or did I remind you that these things are very expensive?”
The restaurant staff immediately stepped up:
“Captain Ngo, yes.”
"When this customer ordered for the first time, Ms. Van Ninh reminded him that the wines and dishes he ordered were very expensive, and that once ordered, they could not be refunded."
"At that time, this guest was still very aggressive, banging on the table to confirm and urging us to quickly bring the food."
