Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — Not married yet, asked me to have children, I turned around and married the CEO
Van Dinh Cong Quan is the most high-class residential area in the city, where people at the top of society gather, every detail exudes discreet luxury. Strict security, quiet space, each building is like a work of art with every corner taken care of. Luc Canh Tham's house is located on the top floor of the first building, a penthouse with a panoramic view of three hundred and sixty degrees, where the whole city can be seen in the eyes. The elevator goes straight into the house, so private that it is almost completely separated from the outside world. When the elevator door opened, I almost stood still, overwhelmed by the scene before my eyes. The living room is incredibly large, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and outside is the whole city stretching out below, like a vivid picture that will never be repeated. Minimalist decoration style with three tones of black, white, gray, unobtrusive but luxurious down to the smallest detail. Just looking once... is enough to understand what the word "rich" means. A man wearing a suit and gold-rimmed glasses was standing in the living room, directing several staff members to arrange furniture. Seeing us enter, he immediately stepped forward and bowed properly.
“Mr. Luc, ma'am.”
“The lady's belongings have been delivered. According to your instructions, they have been placed in the east room.”
Luc Canh Tham nodded slightly, then turned to me to introduce.
“This is my assistant, Tran Mac.”
“If anything happens later, you can find him.”
“Hello, ma'am.”
Tran Mac smiled, his attitude was both respectful and distanced, making others feel comfortable but not too close. I nodded slightly shyly in response.
"Hello."
Luc Canh Tham took off his jacket and conveniently handed it to the maid next to him, his movements were natural as if he was used to being served. He turned to me, his voice calm as if giving a rule.
“From today, this place is my home.”
“The east room is your room, the west room is mine.”
“My office… without permission, don't enter.”
Each sentence and each word is clear and distinct, as if setting boundaries from the beginning. I nodded, didn't ask anything else.
"I got it."
He replied briefly, then said no more, as if everything was enough. He only replied softly, then walked straight towards the office, his back cold and decisive, as if this house was just a place for him to rest, not a place to stop. Tran Mac and several staff members also quickly left, leaving only me, a few maids standing solemnly on one side, and my newlywed husband locked himself in the office. I slowly walked into my bedroom. As soon as I opened the door, I was stunned by the space before my eyes. The room was surprisingly large, there was also a dressing room and a private bathroom, everything was arranged so perfectly that there was not a single redundant spot. My luggage was neatly placed in the dressing room, clothes, bags, and shoes were all divided into clear and neat sections that made me feel like I was standing in a high-end store, not in a bedroom. Compared to my previous tiny wardrobe, this place is truly a completely different world. I walked over in front of the giant floor-to-ceiling glass, standing still and looking out. From this position, you can see almost half of the city, the lights stretch one after another, brilliant and luxurious, so beautiful that it makes people feel unreal. Have I really... married into a wealthy family? Just yesterday, I was still a girl preparing to marry a man who only knew how to calculate, so stupid that he almost pushed himself into a fire pit. Yet after just one night, I became the wife of the man standing on the top floor of this city's pyramid. It's true that life can sometimes turn dizzyingly quickly, both bitter and exciting, as if thrown straight onto a roller coaster without any warning. I took a shower, changed into softer and more comfortable clothes, and tried to let myself relax a bit. At dinner time, the maid knocked on the door and respectfully informed me that dinner was ready. When I went down to the dining room, the long table was covered with exquisite dishes, from appetizers to main dishes, all perfect like in a magazine, but in front of such a large dining table, there was only me. Luc Canh Tham did not appear. I turned to ask the maid, my voice unconsciously softened a bit.
“Where is he?”
The maid politely replied that he was still handling work in the office, telling everyone not to wait. So I sat alone, quietly eating the luxurious but strangely cold dinner. The food was delicious, everything was impeccably refined, but the feeling of loneliness crept in everywhere, making the room even more spacious and empty. At night, I lay on a bed so soft that it almost swallowed my whole body, tossing and turning but still unable to sleep. This strange space, this excessive silence, all made me a little uneasy, as if with just a blink of an eye, this frivolous dream would disappear. Just as I was about to fall asleep, the phone suddenly rang. The screen shows a strange number. I hesitated for a few seconds, then finally picked up the phone.
“Hello, is it Niem Niem?”
On the other end of the line, an old but very gentle voice rang out, giving off a warm feeling.
“You are Canh Tham's grandmother.”
I immediately woke up. Luc Canh Tham's grandmother? Why did you call me? My heart suddenly became tense, even my palms began to sweat. I sat up, adjusted my voice, then replied softly.
“Grandma, I say hello to you.”
“Oh, very good.”
Her laughter rang out happily, sounding sincere and not polite.
"That damn nephew is finally getting married. You heard him say you two finished registering today, right?"
"Yes."
“Good, very good!”
She kept saying "good" twice, the joy in her voice could barely be hidden.
"Nien Niem, don't be nervous, I'm not the type of difficult mother-in-law. In the future, if Canh Tham dares to bully you, just tell me, I'll have your back."
Hearing those words, my heart suddenly softened. The sincere warmth in her voice made a certain corner of my heart tremble, a feeling that for a long time I no longer believed I could receive from someone who belongs to the "husband's family".
“Thank you, grandmother.”
“This stupid kid, they're all family, and they're still polite anything else.”
After laughing, she continued, her voice even more enthusiastic.
“That's right, when are you two coming home to eat? I want your grandfather and your parents-in-law to all meet you once."
Hearing that, my heart suddenly skipped a beat. Introducing your family?
