Chapter 6 — Not married yet, asked me to have children, I turned around and married the CEO

Luc Canh Tham and I are only in a contract marriage. Do your family members know about this? Looking at grandmother's attitude, it was obvious that she was unaware. So how should I answer? Just when I was confused, the office door suddenly opened. Luc Canh Tham walked out from inside. Perhaps because he heard me talking, he tilted his head to look this way. I immediately used my mouth to remind him of two words: grandmother. I understood immediately. Without asking any more questions, he walked next to me, naturally took the phone from my hand, his movements were so smooth that it was as if this had happened countless times.

“Grandma, it's so late, why aren't you sleeping yet?”

His voice was much softer, no longer cold and distant when talking to me, but carried a rare bit of patience, like a grandson who really pampers his grandmother.

“This kid, do you still care about grandma?”

The lady on the other end of the phone immediately blamed him, but her voice was clearly full of laughter.

"I just miss my granddaughter-in-law. Tell me, when will I bring Niem Niem home?"

Luc Canh Tham turned to look at me, his eyes were deep and unpredictable.

“Let's go in a few days, wait until I finish my work during this time.”

"Okay, that's it then. Don't go back on your word."

After hanging up, the room fell silent again. He returned the phone to me, his face returning to his familiar indifferent expression.

“Just now, not a bad performance.”

He only gave a very short evaluation, but it was still enough for me to hear that he was reminding me more than praising.

"In front of my family, remember my identity clearly."

“We are a very loving couple.”

I nodded, forcing myself to calm down.

"I get it."

He didn't say anything more and turned around to return to his room. But as soon as his hand touched the door, he stopped walking, tilted his head slightly and called my name.

“Hua Niem.”

“Tomorrow, come with me somewhere.”

The next morning, while I was still sleepy, the doorbell was pressed repeatedly. I walked out sleepily, my hair had not yet been combed, and as soon as I opened the door, I was completely awakened by the scene before my eyes. Tran Mac stood outside with a huge crew, including makeup artists, stylists, costume assistants, and behind them there were people pushing several full racks of long clothes.

“Madam, good morning.”

Tran Mac still maintained his usual polite demeanor, bowed to me and clearly stated his purpose.

"General Luc told us to prepare an image for you to attend the party tonight."

Only then did I remember what Luc Canh Tham said last night. It turned out that the place he wanted to take me... was a party. I looked at the racks filled with high-end evening gowns, my eyes barely hiding the shock. Each outfit is so beautiful that it's hard to take your eyes off it, sparkling as if the words luxury were written on every stitch. Perhaps in my entire life I have never seen so many gorgeous costumes appearing at the same time. With the advice of my stylist, I finally chose a galaxy blue strapless dress. The skirt is covered with tiny stones, under the reflected light it sparkles like a galaxy pouring down on the skirt, so beautiful that it makes me feel like even the slightest touch will ruin that dream. Then it was three hours of continuous makeup and hairdoing. I sat almost stiffly, changing accessories and adjusting the foundation, curling my hair and trying another bun style, every step was meticulous and impeccable. When everything was completed, I slowly opened my eyes, looked at the woman in the mirror and almost didn't recognize myself. That face is still me, but it seems to have been honed into a different version. The sophisticated makeup makes the facial features sharper, and the hair is tied up into an elegant bun, revealing an elongated neck and delicate collarbones. Between the eyebrows and eyes there seemed to be a bit of coldness and distance, an aura that I had never realized I had before. It felt like overnight, my skin had truly changed. At that moment, the bedroom door was pushed open. Luc Canh Tham walked in. Today he wore a black handmade suit, every cut of it was so perfect that there was almost nothing to criticize. His tallness, stability and nobility under the light become even more prominent, making it difficult for people to look away once they see him. When he saw me, his steps clearly stopped for a moment. In those deep black eyes, there was a very slight ray of surprise passing through. Even though it only appeared for a short moment and then disappeared immediately, I still caught it in time. He walked up to me and opened a velvet box. Inside, quietly lying there... was a diamond necklace. The pendant is a blue gem the size of a pigeon egg, as deep as the eyes of the night sea, just looking at it once is enough to make people lose their minds.

“Put it on.”
