Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — Please Don't Take Three Steps Back
His eyelashes trembled violently. I continued: "I've been digesting yesterday's words all night. Luc Van Chu, if you have an illness, cure it. If you have a psychological ghost, just slowly overcome it. I'm not a doctor, I can't guarantee that I will be able to help you."
“But I can guarantee, I will not criticize you because of this.”
His eyes lit up little by little. But then it was quickly extinguished.
“You're just being soft-hearted.”
I got angry: "Are all of you forensic pathologists that good at judging other people's motives? Do you want to take my heart and make it into a sliced specimen?" He was silenced by me and couldn't say a word. I reached out my hand and slowly approached the back of his hand.
“Is it okay if I touch you?”
Luc Van Chu looked at my hand. After a long time, he nodded. I gently touched it. His fingers immediately stiffened and his breathing became erratic. But he didn't shy away. I grabbed his hand again. This time his whole body was as stiff as a log. I asked softly: "Are you uncomfortable?" He shook his head.
“Lie.”
He lowered his eyes, his voice sad: "A little." I immediately let go. He turned around and held me tightly again. Grip very tightly.
“Don't let go.”
My heart completely collapsed. In the afternoon we reviewed the case file. Behind La Cuong's case was a loan sharking ring. La Cuong's wife was only threatened to be taken advantage of. The one who actually quit smoking was the underground casino owner. The siege action was decided in the evening. Before leaving, Luc Van Chu suddenly gave me a new pair of gloves. I raised my eyebrows: "What are you doing? Are you calling my hands dirty?" He looked at me: "The wound on your hand hasn't healed yet, don't let it crack again." I laughed: "Do you care about me?" His ears turned red, but this time he didn't shy away.
“Yes.”
Just one word almost made me die. Ha Nam passed by and clicked his tongue: "Finally stopped pretending?" Luc Van Chu looked at him: "Deputy Captain Ha, thank you for your help a few days ago." Ha Nam was stunned: "You know I intentionally stimulated you?" Luc Van Chu calmly said: "Your acting is very normal." I looked at Ha Nam in horror: "Are you using me as bait to hook him?" Ha Nam raised his hand and surrendered: "Heaven and earth testify, I want to help you two. Who told you two, one is stubborn, the other is like a jerk." Luc Van Chu suddenly said: "From now on, I won't need your help anymore." Ha Nam laughed: "Jealous?" Luc Van Chu's face did not change: "Yes." The office was silent for two seconds. My ears felt hot like they were on fire. This person, if he doesn't speak, it's okay, every time he opens his mouth, he unleashes a big move. In the evening, the siege action went very smoothly. But on the way to escort people home, the suspect suddenly struggled, slammed the car door and ran away. I chased into a dark alley. The end of the alley is filled with discarded wooden panels. The suspect grabbed an iron bar and smashed it straight at me. I leaned forward and was about to control him when I heard Luc Van Chu's scream from behind.
“Tham Tri, be careful!”
7 The iron bar grazed my shoulder and slammed down. I turned around and pinned the suspect to the ground, my knee pressing firmly into his back. When Luc Van Chu rushed forward, his face was pale and scary. He squatted down to look at my shoulder, his hands shaking so much that he could barely touch me.
“I was injured Are not?"
I'd say it's okay. But seeing the fear in his eyes, I swallowed my words back.
“It hurts a little.”
He immediately panicked: "Where?" I pointed to my shoulder: "This place." He gently touched the layer of clothing, his movements were too gentle. Ha Nam led someone to run over, dragged the suspect away, and before leaving he winked at me. I don't have the heart to pay attention to him.
