Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — The day he established me, I did not make a fuss, 17 days later, he searched the world looking for me
“What… are you?”
“Is it worth talking to me?”
He gritted his teeth, each word squeezed out from between his teeth. Every word carries a strong killing intent. The man was shocked by the tears in his eyes, his face turned pale, but he still did not retreat.
"Here, Tham Thanh Chau, is the owner of this place."
"I don't need to know who you are or how powerful you are."
“But you threatened my wife.”
Those two words, like a red-hot iron needle, fiercely stabbed straight into Ta Than's ear. Laughing crazy, yet sad.
“Your wife?”
He walked towards them step by step. The pressure around the body is so oppressive that it makes people suffocate. He stopped in front of Tham Thanh Chau. He was half a head taller than the other person, standing tall, looking down from above like someone in absolute position. His eyes were cold, arrogant, carrying contempt to the core.
“Do you know who she is?”
“You are touching… my woman.”
“You dare share the same bed with her…?”
“You are really brave.”
Tham Thanh Chau's face immediately turned red. It's humiliation, it's also anger. He just wanted to refute. Ta Than was too lazy to continue talking nonsense with him. He suddenly made a move, a strong thrust. A weak scholar like Tham Thanh Chau, how could he withstand this angry push? He staggered back a few steps, violently crashing into the bookshelf in the corner of the wall. The bookshelf collapsed, books fell all over the floor. Tham Thanh Chau groaned, a trace of blood spilled out from the corner of his mouth.
“Thanh Chau!”
On Du Van's deathly still face, the first crack finally appeared. She cried out in surprise, without hesitation rushed forward and caught the staggering Tham Thanh Chau. She took her handkerchief and carefully wiped away the blood from the corner of his mouth. That movement, so natural that it seemed like it had been repeated countless times, was so gentle that it hurt. This scene completely crushed Ta Than's last bit of reason. He looked at her worriedly because of another man. Watching her use the hands that once wiped his sweat, to touch someone else. The fire of jealousy burned his internal organs. He forgot everything. Forget that you are a king. Forget that he once promised her a life of honor. He only remembered that this woman was his. From hair to toes, everything can only belong to him.
“Catch him for me!”
He screamed at the dark guards behind him, like a crazy animal.
“Break your arms and legs, throw them out!”
“Obey!”
The two dark guards took orders and rushed towards Tham Thanh Chau like hungry wolves. Du Van suddenly turned around, spread her arms, blocking Tham Thanh Chau's face. Those dead eyes finally burst into flames. But not because of him. But because of another man. She stared at Ta Than, speaking word by word.
“Don't you dare touch him a little and try.”
This was the first time, after leaving the palace, that Du Van called him directly by name. There is no “your majesty”. No respect. Just two cold words, filled with hatred. Ta Than's heart felt like it was being squeezed by an invisible hand. It hurts so much I can't breathe. He looked at her. Watching her use her weak body, like a mother animal protecting her cub, risking her life to protect other men. The eyes that once reflected only him were now filled with hostility and warning. He suddenly felt extremely ridiculous. He has devoted all his strength, Day and night he searched for her non-stop for several months. The result... was a scene like this. His concubine, because of another man, became his enemy.
“What if I have to touch him?”
His voice was so cold that it didn't carry a trace of temperature. Du Van laughed. That smile, beautiful but decisive.
“Then… I will die in front of you.”
Not knowing when, she pulled out a sharp wooden brooch. It's the brooch on her head. She brought the sharp end of the brooch and pressed it tightly against her neck. Her skin was as white as snow, and in the blink of an eye, a drop of red blood was pierced. Like an apricot rose blooming amidst the white snow. Eye-catching and heart-stopping. Ta Than's pupils shrank. The two dark guards who were rushing towards them immediately stopped, not daring to advance further. Everyone was frightened by this unexpected scene. Only Du Van, calm and scary. She just held up the wooden brooch, facing him. Use your own life to protect the peace of another man. Ta Than looked at the drop of blood on her neck, only feeling a sharp pain in his eyes. He knew she wasn't joking. Her personality is fierce like fire. She said yes, she will definitely do it. He's scared. From childhood to adulthood, he felt fear for the first time. He was afraid she would really die. Afraid that I will lose my last bit of thought. A dead silent struggle. The air seemed to freeze. Don't know how much time has passed. Finally, Ta Than slowly raised his hand.
