Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — The Day You Sent Me To Jail
“Miss, the opening session has already dropped to the floor.”
“I saw it.”
"The Tham Thi is in a lot of chaos. The Board of Directors has an emergency meeting, Tham Yen Bach is trying to find other investors to jump in to support the price, but time is too short..."
“No one dares to accept it.” I continued.
"That's right. No one dared to admit it. News of Chinh Hang's capital withdrawal was so sudden, everyone was standing outside watching. Jumping in at this time would be like putting the word 'Scammer' on your forehead."
“Will stocks fall further?”
"Tomorrow there is a high probability that it will continue to fall. Based on the calculation model, this week there will be at least 2 more sessions of hitting the floor. If there is no good news injected, 2 weeks later..."
“Delist.”
“Yes, delisting.”
I was silent for 2 seconds.
“Uncle Tien.”
“I am.”
“Do you think... it's too much for me to do that?”
The other end of the line was silent for a moment. Then, Uncle Tien's voice rang out, low and slightly hoarse.
"Miss. He sent you to prison. He used his connections to push you into prison, just because he didn't want you to appear at his wedding."
“He didn't say goodbye to her. He didn't give her an explanation. He didn't even give her a proper ending."
"You followed him for 4 years. How many times did you stop him from drinking alcohol? How many nights did you stay up with him? The time he had a stomach hemorrhage, you were the one who signed the surgery consent form."
"In the end, his white moon light returned, she immediately became a bird trapped in a cage, he could release it whenever he wanted."
Uncle Tien's voice paused.
“So, no, miss. You didn't overdo it.”
“It's because he deserves it.”
I squeezed the phone gently. The knuckles are slightly stretched.
“Yes. I know.”
“One more thing.” Uncle Tien continued, "Shen Yen Bach is looking for you. He is using all his connections to find out your whereabouts. Your flight information has already been captured by him."
My finger stopped.
“He knew you were in Zurich?”
"Not sure yet. But his people are looking up immigration records in Switzerland. With his tricks, the position will be locked in one day at most."
“Let him look it up.”
I closed my laptop and stood up.
"Even if he knew where you were? Could he fly over here? Throw his newlywed wife at home and fly over here?"
Uncle Tien said nothing. I laughed out loud.
“He's not coming.”
"He is Tham Yen Bach. Face is more important than life. Just 3 days after getting married, he flew 10 hours to follow his ex-girlfriend who had just been sent to prison himself? He can't throw that face away."
“So what if he really comes?” Uncle Tien asked.
I picked up my bag and walked towards the elevator.
“That's even better.”
“Proves that he knows pain.”
I hung up the phone and walked into the elevator. The mirror wall in the elevator reflected my face. Today's face looks much better than yesterday. The dark circles under the eyes have disappeared more than half, and the lips are also a little rosy. I looked in the mirror and adjusted my shirt collar. Um. He doesn't look like someone who just came out of prison at all. Looks more like… someone who is getting her ex-boyfriend's company about to be delisted. I smiled at myself in the mirror. Next we have to see your bravery, Tham Yen Bach. Your white moon light can help you defend yourself Can you raise Tham Thi's stock price? Can your newlywed wife help you find a source of capital willing to shoulder the burden? My fellow brothers and sisters called and said yes in my business world, when I was in trouble, would they lend me a dime? If it's not possible... What do you think? Come to beg me? Coming to Zurich, standing in front of my hotel, exactly the same way you stood in front of the prison gate, standing for 15 minutes? Or 20 minutes? Or for life? The elevator "dinged" signaling its arrival.
