Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — The Parrot Knows Too Much
Trinh Hao was pushed back by a strong force, his back hit the cold iron column, making a heavy sound. He did not resist. Not even... not struggling at all. Just looking at "me" with a heartbreakingly complex look, both fear and pity. “My” hand squeezed his neck like an iron pliers, just a little more force could crush his throat.
“Why don't you protest?” “Her” voice carried a bit of confusion.
“I'm shaking with fear.”
“But the eyes… don't beg.”
Trinh Hao's face was red from lack of oxygen, he tried to squeeze out each word.
“Because… I know… it's not you…”
“Chieu Chieu… she won't…”
“Her” eyes wavered slightly for a moment. The grip on the neck also loosened a bit. But just a little.
“Of course she doesn't.”
“She is a useless person.”
“I only know how to cry, I only know how to hide.”
“That's why… you need me.”
“I” let go.
Trinh Hao immediately bent down and coughed, air filling his lungs, bringing with him the burning pain of survival.
“I won't deal with you here.”
“She” looked at him coldly.
“This place is so dirty, it will stain her clothes.”
“You're lucky, Trinh Hao.”
“Because she… seems to like a boss like you quite a bit.”
“So, I give you a chance.”
“From now on, shut up.”
“Forget everything you saw.”
“Continue to be a good boss.”
“If not… next time I won't talk so easily.”
Having finished speaking, "she" turned around and walked towards the warehouse door, her steps were steady and calm, as if it was just a pastime. Trinh Hao gasped and called back.
“She” stopped walking but did not turn around.
“Where are you going?” he asked.
“Next person.”
The answer is neat, cold.
“There's still trash that needs to be cleaned up.”
“This cannot continue!”
Trinh Hao's voice carried a pleading tone.
“Stop it!” Trinh Hao screamed, his voice almost cracking with panic, “Otherwise, you will destroy her!”
"Destructive?" “She” turned around, a cold, sarcastic smile on her lips, “You are wrong, the only person saving her… is me.”
“The thing that wants to destroy her… is this world, you people, who consider yourself normal but are so cold and scary.”
Having finished speaking, "she" pushed open the heavy iron door, the evening sea breeze poured in, bringing with it the sound of car horns from afar, coming closer and closer. They're here. Trinh Hao's face immediately turned pale. He shouted loudly at "me", his voice almost desperate, "Run! They're coming, run!" But “she” just stood there, quietly listening, with no emotion on her face, no fear, no panic, as if the approaching siren was just a part of the sea breeze.
"Run?" “She” laughed softly, her voice was so light that it sent chills down my spine, “Why do I have to run?”
“The game… has just begun.”
"My" body sank into the darkness outside the door, disappearing without a trace, leaving only Trinh Hao standing alone in the middle of the warehouse, his hands shaking from lack of oxygen and helplessness. A few seconds later, bright headlights tore through the darkness, a series of police rushed in, the leader was Officer Vuong, his eyes immediately locked on Trinh Hao.
"Trinh Hao! Where is Hua Chieu?"
Trinh Hao opened his mouth but couldn't say anything, he could only tremble and point towards the door, his face full of pain and despair. King's eyes The officer immediately became sharp, he turned to the communication device, his voice decisive.
“The target has left the warehouse, moving towards the eastern container area!”
“Group one, group two surrounded!”
“Group three blocks the exit to the harbor!”
“Note, the target may be dangerous, everyone be careful!”
I was controlled by "her", rushing through the maze of abandoned containers, my body at this moment was like a perfect machine, every move was precise and decisive, without the slightest panic. My hearing became terrifyingly sharp, able to clearly distinguish each step of the police surrounding me from many directions. Vision also changes. In the dark, the flashlight flashing between the container slots appears clearly like slow streaks of light.
“She” is enjoying herself.
I felt "her" emotions, something cold and cruel but with distorted excitement, like a predator toying with its prey. The encirclement gradually narrowed, they acted very professionally and coordinated, but in "her" perception, all their tactics were as clear as written.
“There are two on the left.”
“Behind Dad, approaching.”
“There's a sniper up there.”
“She” analyzed in my head, her tone was so cold that it made me shiver.
I hid behind a rusty container, crouched down, not far away were two policemen making small talk.
“See?”
“No, this place is so confusing.”
“Be careful, the captain said she is very dangerous.”
“How dangerous can a woman be…”
The conversation is not over yet.
“She” appeared behind them like a shadow.
