Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — The Stolen Heir For Thirty Years
09 The Beginning of the Curse Chu Cuong's scream tore through the air, startling the entire hospital room. Even the patient in the next bed turned to look puzzled. Chu Chinh Duc quickly covered his mouth, his voice lowered but full of shouting.
“What nonsense are you talking about!”
But in his eyes, he could not hide the wavering and insecurity. He was also afraid, afraid of the so-called "curse"... it was truly effective. Vuong Cam hugged his child and ran back, his voice trembling and asking.
“Husband, what happened, which project was canceled?”
Chu Cuong shook his father's hand away, his spirit almost completely collapsed.
“It's a project in the west of the city!”
“I put all the cash in the house into it and took out a large loan!”
"The contract was supposed to be signed this afternoon, but now... now the partner suddenly canceled!"
“My money… all my money is about to be lost!”
He became more and more agitated as he spoke, finally pouring all his resentment onto Chu Vu, his bloodshot eyes seemed to devour him.
“It's all because of you!”
Chu Cuong roared like crazy, his voice hoarse with fear and anger.
“Just now you said you were going to leave, the retribution is coming immediately!”
"You're a comet! You're planning on killing this whole family, right?"
Hearing this, I really wanted to laugh because it was so absurd.
“Eldest brother, there must be evidence when talking.”
I spoke coldly, my voice so calm that it made others even more uncomfortable.
“It is very normal for a business project to fail.”
"Your investment failed, why do you blame it all on Chu Vu?"
“Or do you think he can control people to change their minds to his will?”
Vuong Cam immediately interjected, his voice high and confused.
“Why not!”
"This is fate! I told you, it's not wrong at all!"
"Chu Vu is the nemesis of this family, no, the nemesis of the eldest brother!"
Her eyes looked at Chu Vu like looking at a devil, without any reason left. Luu My Lan lying on the bed also began to cry bitterly, with tears and nose and snot mixed together.
"Oh my god! What's wrong with my house!"
“A disaster like this is born again!”
“God, open your eyes and see!”
The whole family seemed to have lost their minds, blaming all their misfortunes on a ridiculous superstition. Chu Vu looked at them, his eyes had no anger, only deep disgust and sadness. It was like he was watching a group of clowns performing tricks in front of him.
“Are you done talking yet?”
He asked, his voice cold and calm. His calmness and their madness form a stark and terrifying contrast. Chu Cuong froze for a second, then screamed again.
“You really are cold-blooded!”
“Your brother is about to go bankrupt and you're still standing there like nothing happened!”
"YES." Chu Vu nodded, his voice indifferent.
“I literally had no reaction.”
“Because your life or death, from today on, no longer has anything to do with me.”
"Your money was lost because you invested it wrong, not because I took it out of your pocket."
“Instead of standing here barking at me, you should think of a way to save it.”
The words were like a bucket of cold water pouring straight down on his head, causing Chu Cuong to temporarily regain consciousness. That's right, cursing won't save money, the most important thing is still the capital that is about to evaporate. He immediately frantically called, his voice trembling, trying to hold on to the last ray of hope. Chu Chinh Duc stood next to him and sighed continuously, his old face looking a bit more desperate. Luu My Lan still lying on the bed moaning endlessly, while Vuong Cam held his child, eyes full of resentment looking at us. Chu Vu pulled my hand, without saying another word, turned around and prepared to leave this place.
“Stop!”
Chu Chinh Duc's shout rang out from behind, as heavy as a crushing stone. We stopped walking, but did not turn back.
“Chu Vu, I'm asking one last time.”
His voice was low, cold and scary.
“Are you finally going or not?”
Chu Vu answered decisively, just one word, without any hesitation. Chu Chinh Duc's voice seemed to bite off every word, carrying the recklessness of someone with no way out.
“Don't regret it later.”
“Do you think this house is a place where you can come and go if you want?”
“You think you can escape everything now that you're grown up?”
“I tell you, it's impossible!”
He stared at his son's back, each word carrying a clear threat.
“We have enough ways to make you obediently stay.”
This is no longer family love, but more like a cold warning. My heart suddenly sank, a bad feeling crept in. After all, what are they hiding behind? Chu Vu turned around and faced his father's gloomy eyes, the corners of his lips curled slightly.
“Just one sentence.”
That smile carried both challenge and contempt.
“Let's see what bravery you guys still have.”
After saying that, he pulled me away and left without looking back. The cursing and crying in the background gradually faded into space, like a play had ended.
