"It's his mother, she followed, Chu Da is also here, in addition to his father and a very suspicious man, who may be involved in the incident."

I lowered my voice to Tham Du, my heart was beating fast but my mind was unusually alert. The other side was silent for half a second then spoke quickly, each step as clear as an order.

“Step one, set the safety latch, check the door lock immediately.”

"Step two, immediately call the police, clearly stating that the litigant and the stranger are coming to exert pressure, risking safety and affecting the case."

“Step three, turn on the audio and video recording, record the entire situation outside the door.”

"Remember, absolutely do not open the door, do not confront directly."

I listened as I did, latched the door, checked the lock, turned on the phone camera facing the door, and also turned on the fixed camera in the room.

“I'll call right away.”

"Let me know when you call, I'll also contact the police so they can pay more attention."

Tham Du's voice slowed down a bit, as if trying to steady me.

“Nim Niem, hold on, you're doing it right, just follow the procedure.”

I replied once, then hung up and immediately called 110. Outside the door, the pounding continued, each beat seemed to be tapping straight into my nerves.

"Lam Niem, you are truly a poisonous snake. You have to bite my whole family to death before you can bear it, right? Come out here and explain clearly!"

"But mom, don't beat me anymore, this is a hotel..." Chu Da lowered his voice and advised, his voice full of fatigue.

“Shut up!” She almost screamed, "If you weren't weak, he would dare to be so stubborn. My daughter was sent to prison by him, would you still defend her?"

The middle-aged man's voice was low and heavy.

“That's enough, don't overdo it.”

“I'm not allowed to say based on what!” Her cries grew louder, "I have to make him also taste the feeling of being pointed at!"

I quickly explained the situation to the switchboard, emphasizing the fact that the litigant had come to exert pressure, there were strangers suspected of being involved in the case, concerns about personal safety, and evidence being destroyed. The other end said they would immediately send someone and told me to stay in the room and absolutely not open the door. Hanging up, I stood behind the door, just a layer of wood and a lock, listening to all the chaotic sounds outside.

"Lam Niem, are you hiding in there making the turtle shrink its head? You have the nerve to report to the police but don't dare open the door to face me?"

I looked through the cat's eyes again. Chu Da's mother's hair was messy, her makeup was smudged, her eyes were bloodshot as if she wanted to swallow her, Chu Da stood next to her, her body seemed to have exhausted all her strength, both pulling and not daring to pull hard, she could only repeat a few helpless sentences. His father stood against the wall, frowning, his face showing both anger and heavy fatigue. The other man stood a little further away, his hands in his pockets, leaning against the wall, his expression calm as if he were watching a play, but his eyes were still fixed on my door, cold and scary. A very bad premonition rose in my heart, cold like a thin layer of frost that crept into every crevice of my thoughts, making people uncomfortable but unable to dispel.

“But mom, don't hit me anymore.” Chu Da finally stepped up, held her hand, his voice was low but his helplessness was clearly evident, "She has already reported to the police, even if I do that, I won't be able to help Chu Tinh."

“Report to the police?” His mother laughed coldly, her voice full of sarcasm, "she's only good at this game. Before, when she broke the house, she called the police. Now, when we talk about it, we call the police. I think she's wearing office clothes and belonging to the police." A few laws can oppress us?

The man standing behind suddenly spoke, his voice was lazy but with a sarcastic smile, the type of person who knows it's not simple just by looking.

"Auntie, don't be too hot, Ms. Lam is now a reasonable city resident with laws and a lawyer. We are outsiders, so we should still be a bit polite when talking, otherwise people will add the charge of 'disturbing peace' which would be tiring."

“You shut up.” Chu Da glanced at him, his voice cold.

The other person shrugged, his smile still absent-minded as if it had nothing to do with him.

"I'm just helping you, Mr. Chu, people like Ms. Lam, talking about feelings doesn't work, you have to talk about costs."

He raised his head to look towards the door, as if he knew I was standing behind him, his lips slightly raised, his mouth was silent but I could read the two words clearly. I looked away from the cat's eyes, my heart suddenly felt colder, that kind of person... is really difficult to deal with. The noise in the hallway began to attract a few other guests to peek their heads out to see. The hotel staff stepped forward to try to dissuade them, but Chu Da's mother immediately pushed them away.

“It has nothing to do with you guys, it's our family matter!”
