The employee's face became unsightly. He was about to call the manager when the elevator "dinged" and two policemen quickly stepped out, and behind him was the hotel's security manager.

“Who reported it to the police?” a policeman asked in a low voice.

I opened the door a small crack, the safety latch was still engaged, my voice was clear. Chu Da's mother was about to continue scolding her when the police yelled at her to stop.

“Be quiet, this is a public place, your behavior has seriously affected the order of the hotel.”

Father Chu Da quickly stepped forward, trying to force a polite smile.

“Comrade, it's just a misunderstanding, we're all family members, there are some conflicting feelings.”

“The reporter is her.” Chu Da pointed at me, "We just came to talk, we didn't move a hand."

“Please present your identification documents first.” the older police officer said, his eyes serious, "report the case, you speak first."

I summarized the situation through the gap in the door, emphasizing that this was a criminal case being processed, the other person's family came to exert pressure, and at the same time, a man suspected of being involved appeared. When hearing about that person, the police frowned slightly and turned their eyes to him.

“Are you Trieu Loi?”

The man smiled, took out his ID card, his attitude was still leisurely as if he were watching a play.

"Comrade, I'm just going with friends, not causing trouble, the cameras are recording, you guys just check."

Chu Da's mother wanted to intervene, but was pulled back, only looking at me with vicious eyes. After listening, the police turned to them, their voice cold.

"This is a case that has been filed. The other person's family came to the victim's residence in the middle of the night and knocked on the door to make noise. Is that called 'talking'? This is harassment."

"Without going through a lawyer, not following the process, and bringing strangers, you guys think for yourself if it's reasonable."

Chu Da lowered his voice, still trying to explain.

“I'm her ex-fiance, I just want to talk about compensation directly.”

"Compensation must be through a document or a lawyer. If you choose this method, you must bear the corresponding consequences." The police said directly, "Now I ask you to immediately leave the hotel. If the same behavior happens again, we will handle it according to regulations."

The other man shrugged, his voice calm.

“We cooperate, you say go and go.”

But Chu Da's mother refused, her voice screaming full of stubbornness.

"I'm not going, I can't see Lam Niem today, I'll die right here!"

Having finished speaking, she sat down on the ground and began to beat the floor and cry. The hallway immediately became more chaotic. The older policeman clearly lost patience, whispered a few words to his colleague, and the younger one stepped forward, his voice stern.

“Madam, if you continue to disrupt public order, we will take you to the station to handle according to regulations.”

“You dare!” Chu Da's mother suddenly raised her head, her eyes full of crazy anger, "My daughter is about to be forced to death by you guys, now you want to arrest me too, you guys colluded with that despicable woman, right!"

As soon as the two words "despicable" were released, the air immediately froze, as if something had fallen to the bottom. The policeman's face immediately darkened and his voice became noticeably colder.

"Please pay attention to what I say. This is the last warning. Get up and leave immediately, otherwise we will apply coercive measures."

Chu Da's father finally understood the severity, bent down, grabbed her hand tightly, and whispered in his ear a few words, even though she struggled, he and Chu Da still forced her to stand up. The other man glanced towards my door, then looked at the police, the smile on his lips faded, leaving only an unpredictable coldness.

“Let's go, aunt, don't make things difficult for yourself.”

Chu Da's mother was pulled towards the elevator, her mouth still refusing to stop, each curse seemed to fly out in despair.

"Lam Niem, you won't die a good death. You will be punished. Even your parents won't be at peace..."

The elevator door gradually closed, swallowing those words, until the "ding" sounded, and everything disappeared with them. The hallway was finally quiet again, with only me, two policemen and the hotel manager standing in the middle of the chaotic space.

“Miss Lam, did you record and video just now?” The old policeman turned around and asked, his eyes still serious.

"Have." I nodded, "My phone is recording, the camera in the room is also facing the door."

“Very good, keep all data intact, do not delete.” He nodded, "Today they haven't broken in or caused any injuries, but the nature of their behavior is very serious. We will make a record, and contact the unit handling your case for additional information."

"In the future, you should limit traveling alone and pay attention to safety. The hotel will also be asked to increase inspection of this area."

The hotel manager quickly responded, his attitude clearly more tense than before.

"Miss Lam, don't worry, we will mark the information at the reception, unregistered guests are absolutely not allowed to go upstairs. Just now they followed another guest so they got in, we will handle it internally."

I thanked them and saw them off to the elevator.
