Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — After the Apocalypse, I Raised the Wrong Lich King
7. Lady oppresses the camp? I looked at the army of black zombies outside the door, which could be called "monumental", then looked at Mac Tran standing in front of them, his figure tall and straight like a pine tree. Is the scale of this "mountain camp" a bit too large? Mac Tran did not turn around anymore. He just stood there silently like a statue, but the whole wave of zombies maintained absolute submission because of his existence. In the base, there was silence. Everyone was stunned by the surreal scene before their eyes. Those people who had just been crying to heaven and earth, feeling the end of the world was coming, all opened their mouths at this moment, their faces dull. Lam Vi's legs became even weaker, he sat down directly on the ground, constantly muttering:
“The Lich King… he is the Lich King…”
Thi Vuong. These two words were like a bolt of lightning, splitting my chaotic thoughts in half. The kid I raised, the poor amnesiac I thought he was, Mac Tran chases me every day demanding to eat his brains... Is he the king who commands this army of 100,000 zombies? This joke is a bit too big. I took a deep breath, pushed aside the petrified people, and walked step by step towards the gate.
"Miss Niem! Don't go over there!"
Tieu Vu regained consciousness and wanted to pull me back. I shook my head, giving her a reassuring look. I walked behind Mac Tran. He seemed to feel me coming, his body stiffened slightly. I didn't say anything, just reached out and gently hugged his waist from behind. His body was very cold and very stiff. But the moment I hugged him, I could feel him tremble.
“Mac Tran.”
I pressed my face against his broad back and said sadly:
“Are you hiding something from me?”
He was silent for a long time. It took so long that I thought he wouldn't answer.
“I… have no memories.”
Finally, he opened his mouth, his voice hoarse:
"I just know, they... listen to me. I... belong there."
He pointed at the black sea outside.
“But…”
He stopped, turned around, and lifted my face. In those deep black eyes is a seriousness and concentration that I have never seen before:
“After meeting you, I just wanted to… belong to you.”
My heart missed half a beat. What is this? The zombie king's heartfelt confession?
“So why did you say you wanted to go just now?”
I grabbed his shirt, feeling a bit sorry for myself.
“They are summoning me.”
He looked into the distance, his eyebrows furrowed:
“There is a… very powerful existence that is ordering them… to attack this place.”
I was stunned. Wasn't the zombie wave caused by you? Is there someone manipulating behind your back?
“So you don't want to return to them.”
I responded:
“You want to go… fix that trouble?”
He nodded.
“So why didn't you tell me?”
I'm a little angry.
“Dangerous.”
He uttered one word, then added:
“I... will worry.”
I was choked by him, speechless. Okay, I will definitely worry.
“So what now?”
I looked at the tens of thousands of "juniors" outside, feeling like my head was twice as big:
“Just let them kneel forever?”
Mac Tran also seemed to find this scene a bit embarrassing. He let out another low growl. The group of zombies immediately stood up, but still did not dare to make any move, just looked at us in unison. No, look at Mac Tran.
“Dismissed. Guard.”
Thanh Tran gave a brief order. The wave of zombies immediately spread out like a strictly trained army, quickly spreading out in all directions. completely surrounded our base. Not a siege, but... protection. Having finished everything, Mac Tran held my hand, turned around and walked back to the base. When passing by Lam Vi sitting limply on the ground, his steps stopped, his cold eyes swept over. Lam Vi was so scared that he trembled and almost fainted. Mac Tran didn't say anything, just pulled me back to the room. Close the door, blocking all outside eyes. He pressed me against the wall, his hands on both sides of my ears, holding me firmly in his arms. The familiar cold breath surrounded me.
“To Niem.”
He called my name, his voice low and dangerous.
“Do… what?”
I'm a bit nervous.
“Just now, why were you crying?”
He asked.
"I thought you wanted to leave, you didn't need me anymore."
I muttered in a low voice. He bent down. Cold lips gently fell on the corner of my eyes, kissing away the remaining tears.
“It won't.”
He looked into my eyes and said every word very clearly:
“You are mine.”
8. I, To Niem, an ordinary, unremarkable survivor in the apocalypse, have officially been unilaterally claimed by the Lich King. The way the people in the base looked at me completely changed. If before it was awe, now it is... pilgrimage. They felt that I was the Holy Mother Mary who had come to the end of the world, taming the most terrifying demon king. Only I know, I really don't do anything, I just work hard every day to feed my brains. Lam Vi completely disappeared. It is said that after that day, he packed his things and sneaked out of the base at night. No one knows where he went, and no one cares. After seeing true horror, this type of dancing clown was no longer worthy of anyone's attention. The base welcomes a period of unprecedented safety. Outside, there are hundreds of thousands of zombies standing guard. Not to mention the other survivors, even a mutated fly couldn't fly in. We can even open gates and grow crops in the “safe zone” around the base. Those zombies, under Mac Tran's orders, not only did not attack us, but even became free labor. They don't feel tired, they don't feel hungry — they don't eat crops anyway.
