Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — After the Fire Ends, I Return
He dressed very simply, white shirt, black pants, holding a file in his hand. Khuong Van saw him, her voice dropped eight tones.
“This face can really make Luc Canh Xuyen angry.”
Tam Duat stepped forward, his eyes fell on my face.
“Do you regret it?”
“No.”
“Have you thought about it carefully?”
“Think carefully.”
He gave me the file.
"Prenuptial agreement. You can end the relationship at any time, I will not touch your money, nor interfere in your personal matters."
Khuong Van frowned.
"Mr. Tham, you sound like you're going to buy food."
Tham Duat glanced at her: "I don't take advantage of her." Khuong Van was speechless. I received the file but did not open it.
“I believe you.”
Tham Duat's finger stopped at the edge of the file.
“Aren't you afraid I have other plans?”
“What are you planning?”
He looked at me, not speaking. Khuong Van stood next to her and coughed.
"You two, you better get proof first, the security guard at the door has been looking at you two for three minutes now."
Me and Tham Duat walked into the lobby. While filling out the form, the staff looked at me, then looked at Tham Duat.
“Are you two willing to get married?”
Tham Duat replied very calmly: "Yes." The employee looked at me again: "Miss?" I grabbed the pen tightly and wrote Tham Duat's name in the "Spouse" box.
“Yes.”
The moment the steel seal came down, my phone rang. Luc Canh Xuyen. I didn't pick up the phone. He called three times in a row. Tham Duat saw the display screen: "Do you need me to avoid you?"
“No need.”
I picked up the phone. Luc Canh Xuyen immediately asked:
"Where are you? The assistant said you didn't accept the necklace, and even dragged Khuong Van out. Hua Duong, stop being a spoiled brat."
I looked at the red book in my hand.
“I'm at the Civil Affairs Department.”
The other end of the line was silent for two seconds.
"What are you doing there? Are you going to familiarize yourself with the process first? Isn't registration the day of the wedding procession?"
I said: "The testimony has been received." Luc Canh Xuyen burst out laughing: "Who did you register with? Hua Duong, even if you lie, you still have to find a reasonable reason." Tham Duat placed his red book on the table, his voice transmitted through the receiver:
“With me.”
Luc Canh Xuyen's laughter died down.
“Tham Duat?!”
I folded up the marriage certificate.
"Luc Canh Xuyen, take care of the wedding yourself."
The sound of a chair being kicked over was heard from the phone.
“Hua Duong, you dare!”
I hung up the phone. Khuong Van stood outside the door and gave me a thumbs up.
“Yes!”
Tham Duat kept the certificate in his inner jacket pocket.
“Where to now?”
I looked at the wedding dress shop across the street. In the glass cabinet hangs a wedding dress that I tried on 7 times before finalizing it. Luc Canh Xuyen criticized it for being expensive, saying it was only worth wearing for a wedding for half a day. But the flower wall he ordered for Lam Vi's birthday party cost 3 times more than this dress.
“Go get my wedding dress.”
Tham Duat pulled the car door for me: "Okay." * As soon as he saw me, the wedding dress shop manager's expression was a bit unnatural.
"Miss Hua, you came at the right time, Mr. Luc just ordered someone to call, saying that this wedding dress should be borrowed for Miss Lam to take birthday photos first."
Khuong Van exploded on the spot: "Borrowed? Did she also lend her wedding dress to take a birthday photo? Does she have no clothes to wear or no face to meet other people?" The manager said in a low voice: “Brother Luc said, anyway, you can wear the store's spare model on your wedding day.” I looked at that wedding dress. Each pearl on the skirt of the dress was hand-confirmed by me.
“Take it down.”
The manager was embarrassed: "Miss Hua, Miss Lam's side has already sent someone over." From the door came a familiar cooing voice.
“Duong Duong, don't be angry, I just think this dress is so beautiful that I wanted to take a few pictures, it won't ruin it.”
