Chapter 12
Chapter 12 — Contact Person Number One
To coordinate with your recovery plan for the next six months, I have completed the handover of most of the work overseas. Starting next month, I was originally able to stay in the country. But you don't know these things. And I don't intend to say it anymore. * On the morning of the thirtieth day of the observation period, I boarded the safe test flight. Before takeoff, Thuong Du Bach sent a text message. [Let's go back to the main house tonight, mom has something to announce.] I didn't answer. An hour later, the plane entered Lam Hai airspace. Outside the window, clouds suddenly rolled up. The captain's voice rang out from the loudspeaker system.
“There is a strong convection current ahead, everyone is required to immediately tighten their seat belts.”
I had just tightened my seatbelt when the plane's body suddenly jerked and tilted downward. The glass of water on the table was thrown into the compartment wall, shattering instantly. The next second, the entire plane cabin tilted violently. My shoulder hit the armrest hard. The shrill siren sounded. The plane's fuselage once again plummeted. The seat belt tightened around my waist, my right shoulder hit the compartment wall, and intense pain immediately spread down my arm. The front of my eyes darkened. Someone is calling my name. The sound of sirens, the sound of breaking glass and the crew's shouts of instructions mixed together, sounding like they were coming from a deep layer of water. The last image I saw was ash-gray clouds billowing outside the window. * When I opened my eyes again, the light above my head had changed to the pure white light of the hospital. The right shoulder is fixed in a splint, the forehead is covered with medical gauze. Dung Tinh Lam sat beside the bed, holding an inspection report in her hand. Seeing me awake, my aunt raised her eyes.
“Do you still recognize her?”
“Youngest girl.”
My voice is a bit hoarse.
“Where is the plane?”
"The emergency landing was successful, everyone on the plane was okay. I had a bruised shoulder joint, three stitches on my forehead, and a mild concussion."
She gave me water.
“The doctor told me to talk less.”
I took the glass of water and just took a sip when suddenly there was an argument outside the hospital room door. Thuong Du Bach's voice echoed through the door.
“I am her husband.”
“Why can't I come in?”
The nurse explained: "You are not on Ms. Dung's medical authorization list."
“You should look it up again.”
"It has been thoroughly confirmed. The first recipient of the notification is Dung Thi's medical team. Ms. Dung Tinh Lam is currently the temporary representative for medical decisions."
The door was pushed open. Thuong Du Bach stood at the door, his tie a bit messy, his breathing still unstable. You must have rushed here. Seeing that I was awake, his steps stopped for a moment. The next second, his eyes fell on my immobilized shoulder blades.
“Are you seriously injured?”
“Not dead yet.”
Dung Tinh Lam stood up.
“The doctor said she needs to rest.”
Thuong Du Bach looked at her.
"Youngest aunt, I want to talk to Gia Duong privately for a moment."
“It just woke up.”
“Just a few sentences.”
Dung Tinh Lam did not move. I looked at her.
“You just go out first.”
She frowned, but in the end did not object. The door closed again. Thuong Du Bach walked to the bed, his face extremely ugly.
"Something happened to you, why didn't anyone tell you?"
I rely on it pillow.
“Didn't you know about it from the news?”
His face stiffened. Thirty days ago, I also learned about him fainting through the news. Now, the person standing outside the hospital room door has changed to him.
“Dung Gia Duong.” He lowered his voice. “Now is not the time to talk nonsense.”
“I'm not talking nonsense.”
"You removed my name from the authorization list and didn't even notify me of a plane crash. Isn't that why you're angry?"
I looked at him.
