Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — Contact Person Number One
“Tonight, Mom told us to go home to eat.”
“I do not accept.”
“Doctor Diep will also come.”
I raised my head. Thuong Du Bach explained: "She needs to report your recovery plan to her family."
“Can't the hospital report?”
"I'm not sure, I want to ask directly."
I burst out laughing.
“So you two just talk slowly.”
“Gia Duong.”
“I have no interest in attending your recovery team meeting.”
He didn't say anything more, opened the door and left. * That afternoon, I contacted Chu Sam. Not to listen to the story of Thuong Du Bach and Diep Vi An. Nor to investigate an emergency contact. I just want to confirm one thing. This change is ultimately due to the need for treatment or not. Chu Sam asked me to meet at the coffee shop on the ground floor of the hospital. He came very quickly, and as soon as he sat down he asked: "Boss Thuong, you haven't been feeling uncomfortable lately, have you?"
“No.”
I pushed the contact change record in front of him.
“Is Diep Vi An becoming the number 1 emergency contact person a request from your medical team?”
Chu Sam bowed his head and glanced over.
“We have indeed requested an additional contact person with medical expertise.”
“Add?”
“That's right.”
He looked up at me.
“Boss Thuong's condition is not too serious, but when arrhythmia occurs, someone needs to quickly extract data.”
“Doctor Diep is very suitable as medical contact number 2.”
I stared at him.
“Contact person number 2?”
Chu Sam realized something was wrong.
“The system can set up a contact number 1, and three additional contacts.”
My fingers lightly tapped the table.
“So there is no problem with the system only allowing one person to set up.”
“Of course not.” Chu Sam frowned. “We have never proposed removing family members.”
I said nothing. Outside the window, someone pushing a wheelchair passed by, and the cafe door opened and closed again. Chu Sam was silent for a moment, his voice lowered.
“Boss Dung, the change in order was personally requested by boss Thuong.”
“Initially, Dr. Diep only registered at position number 2.”
“It was Boss Thuong who personally asked the staff to move her to the No. 1 position.”
“And it was he who asked for her name to be erased.”
I looked at Chu Sam.
“Are you sure?”
“‘Sure.’ His expression was very calm.” . “That day, Boss Thuong himself came to the hospital for correction.”
“Is Diep Vi An there?”
“Yes.”
“Did she raise any objections?”
Chu Sam paused.
“She asked a question, whether or not she needed to keep family members as additional contacts.”
“Boss Thuong said, no need.”
The sunlight outside shines in, illuminating the coffee cup on the table with a layer of light brown light. I raised my glass and took a sip. It's cold already.
“Thank you.” I stood up.
Chu Sam also stood up, seemingly wanting to say something.
“Boss Dung.”
I looked at him.
"Doctor Diep is in charge of medical data. Who is ranked number 1 is not determined by medicine."
“I know.” I picked up my bag. “So I won't blame the doctor.”
Stepping out of the coffee shop, I called Thuong Du Bach. He picked up the phone very quickly.
“Are you done talking?”
“You know I came to find Chu Sam?”
“Yes People at the hospital saw you.”
The tone was very calm. He didn't even have the slightest remorse. I stood in front of the hospital door, watching the ambulance pass by.
“Chu Sam said, the system can install three additional contacts.”
“Yes.”
“He also said that the medical team only recommended adding Diep Vi An.”
“Yes.”
I burst out laughing.
“Thuong Du Bach, don't you have anything you want to explain to me?”
The other end of the line was silent for a few seconds.
“At that time I felt it was not necessary to leave so many people behind.”
“So you deleted me.”
