Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — I'm Not A Useless Housewife
I don't argue, nor cry.
“Okay, I will move out tomorrow.”
After saying that, I turned around and went into the bedroom, starting to quietly pack my things. My calmness was clearly beyond Giang Hao's expectations. He was stunned for a moment, then an even more satisfied look appeared on his face. Perhaps he thought that I had been completely knocked down by this sudden shock, and that I no longer had the strength to resist. That night, I didn't sleep. Waiting for him to snore contentedly, I went into the study room alone. Turning on the computer, cold light from the screen shone on my bloodless face. On the desktop, in an encrypted folder, are stored all the company documents I've been quietly organizing over the years. The complex share structure diagram, each suspicious cash flow, are clearly marked by me using different colors. I wear noise-canceling headphones. Inside, multilingual economic news from BBC, CNN, and Deutsche Welle rang out. These things are my daily routine. He thought I was immersed in petty family drama. Actually, I have never been apart from this world. After confirming that all documents were error-free, I called a foreign phone number that had long been gathering dust. The phone was connected, and an old, serious voice came from the other side. I took a deep breath and spoke in fluent and precise German:
"Professor Hermann, it's me, Lam Van Tinh. I need your help."
The other end of the line was silent for a moment, then came a sigh.
“Hey kid, I've been waiting for your call for ten years.”
I hung up the phone and it was already bright outside the window. A new day begins. My counterattack should also begin.

Giang Hao loudly announced the news that he was about to hold a solemn wedding with Anna. The media immediately flocked to the news and packaged their love story into the model of "breaking secular prejudices and pursuing true love". As for me, the gloomy ex-wife left the stage, becoming the most pitiful backdrop in the story. I paid no attention to the noise outside and moved into a modest bachelor apartment. This place doesn't have lavish decorations, but it does have a wall full of bookshelves and the fastest internet connection. I was like a hunter who calmly began to carefully dissect his prey. During the day, I assumed the identity of a normal investor, visited departments in the company, and quietly investigated the books. At night, I synthesize and analyze all the information. A huge network of benefit transfers gradually appeared before my eyes. Giang Hao is more greedy and more stupid than I thought. Over the past few years, through establishing shell companies abroad, signing yin-yang contracts and many other ways, he gradually transferred the company's core assets and profits to his personal name. There were so many crude tricks that it was funny, just because he was convinced that a "country bumpkin" like me wouldn't understand anything. One weekend afternoon, a strange number called. I was my father's former subordinate when he was alive, the company's elder, Uncle Vuong.
“Miss, are you… are you okay?”
Uncle Vuong's voice carried guilt and worry.
“Uncle Vuong, I'm fine.”
My voice is very calm.
“How is the company now?”
"Sigh, it's all chaos! Giang Hao treats the company like his own home, tucked in How many miscellaneous people? No one listens to what we old men say anymore.”
Uncle Vuong said angrily.
“Eldest lady, as long as you come back, we will listen to you!”
A stream of warmth flows through my cold heart.
“Thank you, Uncle Vuong. Almost there.”
Not long after I hung up, an unexpected person approached me. Chu Minh Hien, Giang Hao's best brother, is also his business partner.
