Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — I'm Not A Useless Housewife
He asked me to meet him at a quiet cafe. As soon as he sat down, he gave me a bag of kraft paper documents.
"Van Tinh, I'm sorry. Giang Hao really overdid this."
There was a guilty look on his handsome face.
"I advised him, but he didn't listen."
I didn't accept the bag of documents, just leisurely stirred the cup of coffee in my hand.
"It's all over. I've given up."
Chu Minh Hien looked at me, his eyes full of surprise and admiration. Perhaps he thought he would see an abandoned woman crying and blaming heaven and earth.
"Here is the original contract between Giang Hao and several foreign companies, German version."
He pushed the document bag in front of me.
"I know you... probably don't understand it, but you can ask a lawyer to look at it. Maybe it will help."
The meaning in his words was very clear. I raised my eyes and smiled at him.
"Thank you, Minh Hien. But there's no need."
Of course I know what it is. Those German contracts are the key evidence that Giang Hao gutted the company. He thought he was doing it discreetly without any loopholes, but he didn't know that his good brother was already dissatisfied with what he did. But I am good at reading and understanding. At the same time, on Anna's social networks every day she performs a happy play. Today, he shows off a limited edition Hermes bag, tomorrow he shows off a diamond ring as big as a pigeon egg, and the next day he posts a photo of him kissing Giang Hao on a luxury yacht. Every photo seems to be silently boasting and provoking me. She used the attitude of a winner, enjoying all the things that should belong to me. I looked at her face snuggled into Giang Hao's arms, smiling brightly like a flower, the corner of her lips curled up in a cold smile. I scanned the archive of the contract Chu Minh Hien gave me, then carefully classified it with other evidence I found. It's time for this play to reach its climax.

One week before the wedding, I received an invitation sent by Giang Hao. The gilded letters, the flowery words, every word clearly reveals boastfulness and humiliation. The card also included a small card written by Giang Hao himself:
“Welcome to witness my happiness.”
This is not an invitation, it is clearly a letter of war. Maybe he thought I would tear up the invitation, or curse him madly on the phone. But I just told the assistant to answer:
"Miss Lam said she will definitely arrive on time and send the newlywed couple her most sincere blessings."
The news spread, surely Giang Hao and Anna were even more pleased. They were sure that I just wanted to go to the wedding and make a scene, put on a show of harsh and cursing women, so that they could stand on the moral high ground and receive everyone's approval. The more they expected, the more I had to disappoint them. I made an appointment to meet with a team of leading commercial lawyers introduced by Professor Hermann, and presented all the evidence. The lawyers looked at the complicated agreements written in many languages and the flow of money in foreign accounts, their expressions changing from surprise to excitement.
"Miss Lam, we are 100% sure of this lawsuit. Not only can we help you get back all your assets, but it can also make Mr. Giang pay an extremely expensive price."
There is this professional guarantee, i last also swallowed the last tranquilizer pill. Over the next few days, I no longer wore simple, gloomy housewife clothes. I went to the most high-end shopping center in the city and chose a "war jacket" for myself. The person in the mirror took off his black-rimmed glasses that were intentionally used to hide his sharpness, revealing a pair of clear but cold eyes. The salesperson recommended a bright red strapless long dress, making my skin as white as snow and my spirit exploding.
“Take this.”
I said.
