Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — I Tear Up The Script They Wrote For My Life
“Is there a problem with the photo?”
I raised my head and looked at Tuong Anh in confusion. My mind is still a mess right now. The shock from that photo was too great.
“Look at this place.”
Tuong Anh put the phone in front of me and pointed to a corner of the photo.
“This man's watch.”
I bent down to look closely. The middle-aged man hugging me wore an extremely prominent gold Rolex on his wrist.
“The crown logo on the watch face is misaligned.”
Tuong Anh's voice was extremely certain.
“And here, the necklace around your neck.”
In the photo, I am wearing a thin necklace around my neck. It was a birthday gift Chu Minh once gave me.
"Look closely at the pendant, is it a little different from the one you're wearing?"
Reflexively, I reached out to touch the necklace around my neck. The pendant is a small iris. I looked at the photo and then looked down at the actual necklace. The pendant in the photo appears to be a bit rougher. But such a small difference... If you don't deliberately compare it, it's almost impossible to notice.
“What does this prove?”
I asked softly.
“Prove that this photo is most likely a composite photo.”
Tuong Anh's eyes were as sharp as X-ray rays.
“They might have found a woman with the same body shape as you and took pictures first.”
“Then use AI technology to change your face and put my face on it.”
“This technology is very popular now, but as long as the photos are fake, there will definitely be loopholes.”
“For example, this watch, or that necklace.”
“The small details are often the easiest to miss.”
After listening to Tuong Anh's analysis, I was like a drowning person reaching for a life-saving stake.
“So what do we do now?”
“First, you must calm down.”
Tuong Anh gently reassured me.
"The other person's goal is to force you to meet tonight."
“The more impatient they are, the more it shows that they are guilty in their hearts.”
“Second, we must find the original photo, or evidence that this photo is fake.”
I clenched my fingers.
“It's not easy, but it's not impossible.”
Tuong Anh looked at me firmly.
“Think carefully, have you lost anything recently?”
“Or have you ever exposed many high-resolution photos of yourself anywhere?”
High resolution photo... A thought suddenly flashed in my head.
"Last month, Trieu Dinh said her friend had just opened a photography studio and asked me to come over and help her take advertising photos as a model."
“She also said she would take the photos for free and then send me beautifully edited photos.”
“At that time, I didn't think much about it, so I agreed.”
The more I talk, the colder my heart becomes. During that shoot, I changed a lot of clothes. The photographer also asked me to pose in all kinds of poses, taking photos from many different angles. He said it was to collect data and build 3D models. At that time, I still felt new. Now that I think about it… That was clearly a trap specially prepared for me! They took my facial data!
"What's the name of that studio? Where is it?"
Tuong Anh immediately asked. I tell you everything I know. Tuong Anh immediately picked up the phone to call a friend.
"Hello, Mr. Truong, help me investigate something."
“A photography studio called ‘Era of Light’…”
After hanging up the phone, she turned to look at me.
“My friend works in investigative engineering.”
“If this studio really has problems, he will definitely find out.”
“Let's talk tonight.”
“Chu Minh asked me to come alone because he wanted to isolate me and create psychological pressure to force me fall."
“I absolutely cannot go alone.”
“I'll come with you.”
Tuong Anh said immediately.
“No way!”
I immediately objected.
“They definitely know you. If they see you appear, they will know I'm on guard."
“Who said you would appear as a lawyer?”
Tuong Anh burst out laughing. Sly smile like a fox. She opened the cabinet in her office and took out a wig and black-rimmed glasses.
“I'm your new assistant.”
“An assistant who just graduated, a bit timid…”
“But extremely good at recording with the phone.”
Eight o'clock in the evening. I went to the address Chu Minh sent. It is a tea shop located deep in a deserted alley. As soon as I entered the private room, the smell of cigarette smoke hit me straight in my face. Chu Minh and Trieu Dinh sat next to each other. Just like the king and queen waiting to judge me. I pushed the door and walked in. Behind him is a "little assistant" wearing black-rimmed glasses and looking quite timid. Chu Minh saw Tuong Anh standing behind me and frowned.
“Who is she?”
“My new assistant.”
I calmly replied.
“Follow along to run a few errands.”
