Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — Make Me Kneel to His Mistress, and I Will Reclaim His Fortune
Lam Vy Vy's eyes immediately lit up. Pho's mother also breathed a sigh of relief. Pho Van Dinh seemed to have finally found the rope that was strangling me.
“Done the procedure.”
“I will have someone send you the medical records.”
I looked at him.
“One more condition.”
“You have no right to dictate conditions.”
“The old wooden chest I brought with me when I got married.”
Pho's mother snorted coldly.
“Who wants that pile of trash?”
Pho Van Dinh waved his hand.
“Give it to her.”
Ms. Truong went upstairs. Before long, he was holding an old wooden chest. The corners are worn. The lock is covered with rust. No matter how it looks, it looks like a piece of scrap. Pho's mother didn't bother to glance. But Lam Vy Vy looked a few more times. Maybe she doesn't understand. Why don't I need any valuable items? But I just want that chest. I received the chest. Pho Van Dinh said coldly:
“Don't be late tomorrow.”
I hugged the trunk. Go to the door. Outside, the cold wind cuts the skin. At that moment, Pho Van Dinh spoke again:
“So Van Ninh.”
I turned my head. He stood under the warm yellow light. Behind are Pho's mother and Lam Vy Vy. Looks like a winner.
“Get off me.”
“You will know how difficult life can be.”
I looked at the copy of the divorce petition in his hand.
“You will know too.”
I won't continue. Because there are words. Speaking too soon. It won't hurt enough. In front of the gate of the Civil Affairs Department. Lam Vy Vy arrived even earlier than Pho Van Dinh. She wore an elegant white dress. The bandage on the wrist has been removed. Instead there is a thin diamond bracelet. Sit on a bench by the roadside. Next to it is a bouquet of bright red roses. When I stepped forward. She raised her head and smiled.
“Sister, the Deputy General has an unexpected meeting.”
“He told me to wait here with you.”
I glanced at the bouquet of roses.
“Do you still give flowers when you get divorced?”
She held up the bouquet of flowers. Bow your head to smell the fragrance.
“The deputy general said that after completing the procedure, he will take you out to eat at noon.”
“He sent someone to bring this bouquet of flowers first.”
She intentionally exposed her wrist.
"Yesterday's ring could not be paid for, so the Deputy General was very angry."
“This morning he changed to another card.”
“I already bought it for you.”
I didn't reply. Because what Lam Vy Vy is most afraid of... is bragging but no one responds. It wasn't long before she lost patience.
“Are you really not sad?”
“What's sad?”
I calmly asked again.
"I've been with the Vice President for five years."
“In the end there was nothing in hand.”
Lam Vy Vy lowered her voice.
“And I've only been in the company for half a year.”
“He was ready to divorce me for you.”
I looked at the screen and called the order number. There are still three couples ahead. Lam Vy Vy leaned a little closer.
“Do you know why he likes me?”
“Because I'm not like you.”
“Just hanging around the kitchen and the hospital all day.”
“You always smell like medicine and grease.”
“The perfume on you is too strong.”
“Difficult to smell.”
Lam Vy Vy's face stiffened. A sister waiting for the procedure couldn't help but laugh. Lam Vy Vy immediately changed her expression to self-pity.
“I just want to talk to you nicely.”
The other sister chimed in:
"After stealing someone else's husband, you still want someone to sit and listen to your confession?"
“Is your house's face plastered with cement?”
Lam Vy Vy's face turned red. I looked over at that sister.
“Thank you.”
She waved her hand.
“Thank you for what?”
“I hate this kind of pretending to be weak the most.”
“It looks like a small white flower.”
“But the roots are so rotten that even flies come.”
Lam Vy Vy couldn't bear it anymore.
“Who are you to scold me?”
The older sister slammed her bag on the chair.
“Because my eyes are not blind yet.”
That was the first bit of relief of the day. But it was enough to make Lam Vy Vy feel uncomfortable. When Pho Van Dinh arrived. Lam Vy Vy was almost crying. Just saw him walk in. She immediately stood up.
“Deputy General.”
“Shouldn't I come here?”
“Her friend keeps scolding me.”
The other sister immediately rolled her eyes.
“Who is her friend?”
“I am a passerby.”
"If you see something unpleasant, say a few words, isn't that okay?"
Pho Van Dinh glanced at me.
“So Van Ninh.”
“Are you still looking for someone to cause trouble?”
I took out my ID and household registration book.
“Are there any procedures?”
Pho Van Dinh choked. The thing he hates the most. It's this unexplainable attitude of mine. Because he was used to me trying to prove my innocence. Staff called the number. We sat down. The person in charge looked at the divorce agreement and then raised his head and asked:
“Confirming that the division of assets is completely voluntary?”
Deputy Van Dinh brought the documents over.
"Confirm."
The employee turned to me.
"The female party confirms to give up the house, deposit, vehicle and all rights related to the company?"
I nodded. Pho Van Dinh stared at me. There was a flash of frustration that was hard to name in his eyes. Maybe he thought I would cry. Will cause chaos. Will beg him. But I don't. When the employee stamps. Lam Vy Vy stands behind. Even the tips of his toes exuded excitement. The seal lowered.
“The procedure is complete.”
Red marriage certificate. Change to divorce certificate. Pho Van Dinh pushed my book over.
“From now on.”
“She no longer has any relationship with the Pho family.”
I put the papers away. He called his assistant.
“Bring Ms. So's mother's medical records down here.”
The other end of the line seemed to say something. Pho Van Dinh frowned.
“What do you mean not found?”
I looked at him. Lam Vy Vy immediately spoke up:
“Maybe when I was cleaning, I put it in the wrong place.”
“Sister, don't misunderstand.”
“The deputy general will not intentionally not give it to you.”
Deputy Van Dinh hung up the phone.
