Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — My Home, No One Should Touch It
Officer Tran frowned slightly, obviously very uncomfortable with this type of crying, but still kept his official tone.
“Miss Pham, stop crying, wait for your boyfriend to come and explain clearly.”
Pham Dao sobbed and leaned against the door, occasionally glancing at me. That look was both self-pity and resentment, and also mixed with a bit of "how come you don't know how to be reasonable". I don't bother to pay attention. Officer Tran turned to me, lowered his voice and asked:
“Miss Tham, do you confirm that you broke off relations with your younger brother a long time ago?”
"Confirm." I nodded, my voice very calm.
"Ten years ago, my parents forced me to pay my entire salary to save my younger brother's bride price. I refused and they scolded me for being ungrateful."
"I packed my things and left that day. Since then, there has been no contact, no calls, no meetings, no financial transactions."
“So how did they know you bought a house?”
I shook my head.
"That's also what I want to know. My house purchase information has definitely been leaked, I will investigate clearly."
Officer Tran nodded and said nothing more. About twenty minutes later— The elevator opened. A swaying figure stepped out. Colorful floral shirt, torn jeans, hair dyed yellow and not green, earrings in her ears, and a toothpick in her mouth. The whole person exudes the "father of the world" aura, looking at him makes him want to punch him. The "good" younger brother that I haven't seen in ten years— Tham An just walked in and immediately saw me. He paused for a second. Something flashed in his eyes. It could be a guilty conscience, it could be a surprise, it could also be a calculation. But very quickly... it all disappeared. Instead there was a grin that made me nauseous.
"Hey, sis! You're here!"
He opened his arms, intending to hug me. The movements were exaggerated as if they were acting. I took a step back. Coldly looked at him.
“Don't touch me.”
Tham An smiled wryly, withdrew his hand, and scratched his head. But the smile was even brighter than before.
"What are you so tense about? Are you angry with me?"
“I know I haven't contacted you in a while, but I've been busy... busy getting married.”
“You just came and brought the police with you, what's the point?”
“Not worth it?”
I looked straight into his eyes.
“Tham An, I ask you.”
“Do you know how I bought a house?”
He stopped. My pupils turned around. Then he immediately smiled even brighter.
“Are you kidding me?”
"I bought the house... isn't it so you can get married?"
“Mom told me, I deliberately chose the most beautiful house, three rooms and two living rooms, from now on the whole house will be spacious!”
"Mom also said, I don't accept it with my mouth, but in my heart I still think about the family."
“Sister, I know, you are not a cruel person.”
I was so angry that I was shaking. But on his face... there was no expression at all.
“I bought it for you?”
"Right!"
He said it like it was obvious. He even patted my shoulder, but I avoided him and didn't even notice.
"I'm thirty and still not married, won't I have to rely on you to take care of me in the future?"
“Isn't it the right thing to do if you buy me a house in advance?”
“I have a house, get married, have children.”
"In the future, I'll take care of you when you get old and continue the Tham family."
“Both sides benefit.”
I almost couldn't help but slap him straight. I say every word. The voice was as cold as crushed ice.
“Listen carefully.”
“This house… I bought for myself.”
"I, Tham Thanh Vy, will not get married in this life, nor will I rely on anyone."
“This house…”
I looked at him, my eyes sharp as knives.
“Even if the dog stays, I won't let you stay.”
“Understood?”
The smile on Tham An's face stiffened. Little by little… disappeared. His eyes changed from teasing to gloomy.
“What… do you mean?”
“The idea is very simple.”
I turned to Landscape Tran.
“I ask them to leave immediately.”
“Today. The whole thing.”
“If not… I will pursue it to the end.”
