Pham Dao immediately exploded after hearing this. She burst out of the door, her voice so bright that it threatened to break the glass.

“Based on what?!”

“This is the wedding house Tham An bought for me!”

"We just moved in last night! The furniture is already arranged!"

“Why are you chasing us away?!”

“Based on the certificate being in my name.”

I said very calmly.

“But Tham An said it was you who gave it!”

“He said?”

I laughed coldly.

“Pham Dao, I'll ask you again.”

“He said you believe it, does the law believe it?”

“Does the judge believe it?”

“You lived with him for so long.”

"Does he have a job? Does he have an income? Can he support you?"

“These things… have you ever thought about them?”

Pham Dao was speechless. Turning to look at Tham An, his eyes were red. The voice turned back to being coy:

“Husband, tell me!”

“You said this house was given to you by your sister!”

“You said that being in your sister's name is just a formality!”

“You say it!”

Tham An's face changed continuously. Jaw clenched. Finally... he withdrew his joking expression. Change to the “I'm so angry” face.

“Are… are you telling the truth?”

“Do I look like I'm joking?”

“Okay… okay… okay.”

He said three words at once. Each word seemed to be forced out from between my teeth. His eyes were cold like a snake.

“Don't regret it.”

“What you did... was forcing me to die.”

"I don't have a home, Pham Dao won't marry me."

"I can't get married, the Tham family is extinct!"

“If you do that… is it worthy of your parents?”

“Is it worthy of our ancestors?”

“I'm a girl, forcing my brother to the end.”

“Aren't you afraid of retribution?”

I almost burst out laughing.

“You can't get married... what does it have to do with me?”

“You're dead… what does it have to do with me?”

“My name is Tham.”

“But a long time ago… I was no longer a member of that family.”

“Ten years ago, when you kicked me out of the house…”

"Why don't you remember that I also have Tham blood?"

“When you suck my blood…”

“Why don't you remember that I'm also from the Tham family?”

Tham An got angry. The blue veins on his forehead appeared.

“Don't forget, I'm a woman!”

“Women have to get married sooner or later!”

“Sooner or later what's yours will be someone else's!”

"If you don't help me now, don't regret it later when you're old!"

I laughed. A very slight smile. But cold to the bone.

“Tham An, listen carefully.”

“From today onwards…”

“I won't let any of you touch my things again.”

“This house is mine.”

“Every penny… I earned it myself.”

“You have no qualifications.”

“Parents also have no qualifications.”

“No one… is worthy.”

I raised my hand and pointed straight to the door.

“Pack your things.”

“Bring your girlfriend.”

“Get out of my house.”

While struggling, the elevator door opened again. My parents… are here. Ten years without seeing her, my mother has aged a lot. Half of my hair is gray, and my wrinkles are as deep as a carving knife. But that harsh face… that expression—tight lips, raised chin, eyes like “I'm your mother, you have to listen”—I will never forget for the rest of my life. As soon as she walked in, her eyes immediately locked on me. At first, she was a little shy—perhaps guilty, after all, after ten years of no contact, she knew what she had done—but quickly became aggressive again, as if giving herself courage.

"Thanh Vy! Are you crazy?!"

She rushed forward, her voice shrill and shrill, trying to grab my hand.

"Tell the police to arrest your younger brother?! He's your younger brother! What are you reporting? Are you going to put your younger brother in jail? Are you still human?!"

I yanked my hand out.

“Don't touch me.”

My mother paused for a second, not expecting me to dare to avoid her. Her eyes immediately turned red, but not from pain. Because of opposition. She sat down on the ground, patted her thighs and cried loudly:

"Oh my God! I raised an ungrateful thing! I worked hard to raise it, and that's how it treats me!"

"He told the police to arrest his younger brother! What karma did I create to give birth to such an unfilial child!"

The crying, tone, rhythm... exactly the same as ten years ago. My father stood next to me, his face as black as stone, not saying a word. The hands are clasped behind the back, just like a person playing a "cold" role. One person makes noise, one person stays silent—reciting the same old song. I coldly watched my mother "act". Ten years later... her acting is still as bad as ever. I spoke up, my voice wasn't loud, but every word was clear.

"It's been ten years, my mother's acting still hasn't gotten better. That year she was the same, crying and rioting, forcing me to hand over my salary card. If I didn't hand it over, she scolded me for being ungrateful, saying it was a waste of time raising me. Now she's re-enacting the old script? Can't she change roles?"

My mother's crying stopped. Tears were still hanging on his face, but his expression was stiff.

“Mom said to raise me?”

I looked straight at her, my voice as calm as still water.

“Raising what children?”

"From childhood to adulthood, delicious food for Tham An, beautiful clothes for Tham An. I still have to pay for my tuition by working part-time. Mom, do you call that raising me?"

“When I was fifteen years old, I wanted to buy a new cotton shirt, but my mother said we didn't have money.”

"The next day, Tham An brought home a pair of Nike shoes worth more than eight hundred yuan. I asked where the money came from, and mom said 'he's a boy, it's okay to dress nice'. Do you call that raising?"

“I'm a Scorpio, I remember it so much.”

My mother was about to open her mouth but I stopped her.
