My sister-in-law kicked me out of the house, and as soon as I turned my back, I confiscated the villa worth more than tens of millions of yuan! After dinner, I curled up on the sofa to watch a short movie. My sister-in-law, Lam Man, suddenly pressed the remote control to stop.

“Sister, you're twenty-nine years old this year, it's time to move out and live on your own.”

Her voice was stiff and she spoke while exchanging glances with my younger brother, Co Minh Vien. Obviously, the matter of kicking me out had been discussed by the two of them before.

“What do you two mean?”

I placed the phone face down on my knee, raised my head to look at Lam Man.

"It doesn't mean anything. You're at home eating and drinking every day, don't you know in your heart?"

Lam Man gently elbowed Co Minh Vien. Co Minh Vien bowed his head and was silent for a long time before barely uttering a sentence:

"Sister, once Man Man's pregnancy is successful, it won't be convenient for our family anymore."

The two have only been married four months. The child didn't even have a shadow yet, yet he was impatient to kick an unmarried sister like me out of the house. I stared at Co Minh Vien.

“Okay, I'll move out now.”

The apartment is more than one hundred and thirty square meters. Three bedrooms, a small tea room. Just because one person hasn't appeared yet, I've become the biggest eyesore in this house.

"Sister, don't be so impatient. I'll take you to see the house this weekend."

Co Minh Vien chased me into my room. At that time I was stuffing clothes into my suitcase.

"No need."

I opened the closet, took out the bag of documents and put them in my bag.

“I will go tonight, avoid…”

My eyes stopped at Lam Man who was standing outside the door with her arms crossed.

“Avoid making your floor dirty.”

Lam Man immediately got angry.

"Can you stop pretending to be pitiful? Is someone bullying you?"

“I'm just telling the truth.”

"What is the truth? It's a woman in her late thirties who still clings to her mother's house and refuses to leave. If outsiders knew about this, the only thing they could do was laugh until their faces turned sour."

I threw the sweater I was holding on the bed and walked quickly to the door. Co Minh Vien immediately blocked in front of me.

“Sister, Man Man is under a lot of pressure about the pregnancy, don't argue with her.”

“Is she pregnant?”

I looked straight into his eyes. Co Minh Vien's hand holding me loosened slightly and then tightened again.

“Nursing my body.”

I laughed softly.

“So that means it's not there yet.”

Lam Man's face immediately darkened.

"What do you mean? Are you cursing me?"

“I asked you?”

I grabbed Co Minh Vien's collar.

“Is it your idea or her idea to send me away?”

Co Minh Vien avoided my eyes.

"It's my idea. It has nothing to do with Man Man."

“Co Minh Vien, you are really good.”

I shook his hand away and continued packing my luggage. For the past year, every day after work I went around the street to buy cinnamon rolls that Lam Man likes to eat. Afraid that she had just gotten married and wasn't used to the new life yet, I even cooked meals at home according to her taste. Every time she calls me "sister", she is closer than anyone. It turned out that all that enthusiasm was just to get money from me easily. Co Minh Vien snatched the coat I had just finished folding.

"Where are you going at this late night? If mom comes home and finds out, she will definitely scold me to death."

“Are you still afraid of your mother scolding you?”

“Sister, stop making a fuss.”

I snatched my jacket back from my hand him.

“Weren't you two the ones who told me to leave?”

Outside the living room, Lam Man kicked my indoor slippers out the door.

“My sister wants to live independently, of course we have to support her.”

"Anyway, staying at my brother's house won't be glorious."

I pulled two suitcases out. The wheel rolling on the tile floor made a harsh friction sound. Co Minh Vien still wanted to stop it.

“Sister, stop being angry.”

“Just let her go.”

Lam Man looked at me, her eyes full of contempt.

"Every month she gives her parents 5,000 yuan, which isn't enough money for me to go for skin care once. Do you really think you're supporting this whole family?"

I stopped at the mysterious gate.

"Every month I give my mother 5,000 yuan. I also pay for electricity, water, and gas in the house."

Lam Man snorted and laughed.

"Does it cost you money to eat at home? Doesn't it cost money to live in a big house like this? Is 5,000 yuan a lot?"

Co Minh Vien lowered his voice:

“Man Man, please stop saying a few words.”

Lam Man's voice immediately became brighter.

"What did I say wrong? If she really has the ability, why doesn't she buy a house herself? All day pretending to understand, in the end, wouldn't she still cling to her parents?"

I took the card off the key chain and placed it on the shoe cabinet.

“Here is the door card, you two keep it.”

Lam Man immediately reached out to take it. I pressed the back of her hand.

"Don't be in a hurry. Objects don't belong to whoever touches them first."

Lam Man frowned.

“Who are you hinting at?”

I looked at Co Minh Vien.

"My parents are coming to my house tonight. You two picked a perfect time."

Co Minh Vien's face immediately turned pale.

“Sister, I really didn't mean that.”

I pulled my suitcase and walked out the door. Behind him, Lam Man's voice rang out:

“Once you leave, don't come back crying in the middle of the night.”

I don't turn around. Before the elevator door closed, Co Minh Vien ran after him.

"Sister, take the card. What if you don't have a place to stay?"

I stuffed the card back into his hand.

“Your wife is right.”

“If you leave, don't come back again.”

The elevator slowly went down. My phone suddenly vibrated. It's a text message from an unknown number.

"Miss Co, tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m., the real estate documents you made an appointment still need you to personally come and sign for confirmation."

I looked at that message for a while then turned off the screen. The elevator door opens. The night wind rushed in. I pulled my suitcase and walked out of the residential area. Security guard Uncle Ngo poked his head out from inside the guard tower.

“Hieu Duong, where are you going this late?”

“I moved house.”

Uncle Ngo was stunned. The enamel cup in his hand hit the edge of the table, making a dry clicking sound.

“This house…”

Before he could finish his sentence, I shook my head to stop him.

“Uncle Ngo, don't tell my parents.”

“But a girl like you…”

“I have a place to stay.”

I lifted my suitcase down the steps. On the upper floor behind him, Lam Man was standing on the balcony. Her eyes were like looking at an old piece of furniture that was finally removed from the house. She held up her phone to take a video of me.

"Sister, be careful on the road. Don't stay in a cheap hotel."
