Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — My sister-in-law kicked me out of the house, and as soon as I turned my back, I confiscated the villa worth more than tens of millions of yuan!
But Co Minh Vien only stared at Lam Man.
“Last night I chased your sister away.”
“Is it because of the room?”
“Or because of the house?”
Lam Man burst into tears. Grab his hand.
“I will marry you.”
“Want to have a home of my own.”
“Is that also wrong?”
“I can speak frankly.”
“But you must not falsely accuse my sister of stealing.”
"I know it's wrong, can't I still do it?"
Lam Man turned to look at me.
"I'm sorry."
The voice was so low that it was almost inaudible. I calmly replied:
“Say it louder.”
She gritted her teeth. I took out my phone.
“Send to family group.”
Lam Man stood still. Trinh Ngoc Cam immediately stopped.
“Don't send it.”
“Send it and your relatives will know everything.”
I looked at her.
“When my relatives knew I stole the gold bracelet, she didn't think so.”
Co Minh Vien looked at Lam Man. Lam Man angrily threw her bag on the chair. In the family group, a new message appears.
"Yesterday, I mistakenly put the gold bracelet in my bag. I misunderstood my sister. I'm sorry."
My wife immediately appeared.
"Oh my god, it's good that the misunderstanding has been clarified. Let's not accept it anymore."
I replied immediately:
“Last night, she told me to return it if I really took it.”
“You should also apologize to me.”
The group immediately fell silent. My mother sent a recording directly.
“Whoever slandered my daughter must apologize.”
“Don't pretend you don't see.”
One minute later. My aunt sent a text message.
"Hieu Duong, I'm too hasty. I'm sorry."
I put my phone away. This is just the first breath of air I've reclaimed. Far from enough. Three o'clock in the afternoon. I took my parents home to finish packing their things. Lam Man followed closely behind. As if afraid that I would take her life. I cleaned out the closet. Clean out the bookshelves. Clean out the bedside cabinet. I stopped in front of the small tea room door. Lam Man immediately stood in front of him.
“I plan to turn this room into a children's room.”
“Don't come in.”
I looked at her hand blocking the door.
“Get away.”
“There's nothing of yours in there.”
“What is there?”
I don't answer. Just take out the new key. The key gently turned in the lock. The door opened. Lam Man's face immediately turned pale. Inside the tea room. My father's old bookshelf was pushed into the corner. The floor was filled with more than ten cartons. Each box has a white sheet of paper attached. It is clearly written on it:
"Co Hieu Duong's old belongings — Waiting for processing."
The bag in my mother's hand fell straight to the ground. Her eyes turned red in an instant. My father clenched his fist. Blue veins appear on the back of the hand. As for Lam Man... Finally starting to feel afraid.
“Who wrote these lines?”
I picked up the label on the carton. Lam Man immediately responded:
“I just rearranged it, didn't throw it away anywhere.”
My father walked over and opened a cardboard box. Inside were my competition certificates, a copy of my college admission notice, and a thick newspaper clipping book. It's something my mother started collecting when I was in elementary school. Every time I win an award. Every time it is published. She carefully cut it out and pasted it on. Now the notebook has been crushed and distorted. The corners are still full of dust. My mother picked it up. Gently brush a few times on the cover.
“Who let you touch this?”
Lam Man's eyes avoided.
“Leaving it there will only take up space.”
My father opened the second box. Inside is an old wool scarf my grandmother left me. Same wooden box with peeling paint. The box is open. Inside is empty. My face immediately darkened.
“Where is the silver lock in the box?”
Co Minh Vien was bewildered.
“Which silver lock?”
“The relic my grandmother left me.”
Lam Man immediately said:
“I have never seen it.”
Trinh Ngoc Cam stood at the door. The tone was full of annoyance.
“It's starting again.”
“If you lose everything, will it fall on Man Man's head?”
I looked straight at her.
“I'm asking Lam Man.”
“What are you so impatient about?”
Trinh Ngoc Cam's eyes immediately wavered.
“I'm his mother.”
“Of course I must be impatient.”
I continued to open each carton. Third bucket. The little wooden horse that my father made for me when I was a child had one leg broken. Fourth box. Some photo albums were soaked in water. The photos stick together. Fifth barrel. A stack of documents has disappeared. I looked at Lam Man.
“Where is my document bag?”
She pretends to be stupid.
“Blue bag.”
“Put it on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf.”
“I don't see.”
I turned to look at Co Minh Vien.
“Do you see it?”
His face immediately became unsightly.
“Yesterday I saw Man Man holding a blue bag.”
“She preserved her old papers so she planned to throw them away.”
Lam Man immediately shouted:
“You talk nonsense!”
Co Minh Vien clenched his fist.
“I'm not talking nonsense.”
Lam Man rushed forward and pushed him hard.
“Now because of your sister, you're throwing all that dirty water on my head, right?”
My father shouted loudly: Right at that moment. There was a knock outside the door. Uncle Ngo led a cleaning lady to stand at the door.
“In the garbage collection area, I found some bags of documents.”
"The management board saw that the name Co Hieu Duong was on it so they didn't dare to throw it away."
The cleaning lady brought the goods. The blue bag had one corner torn. There were a few pieces of paper missing inside. I take it. Turn the pages one by one. To the end. My face immediately turned cold. Missing one copy. Copy of the document that Luong Tinh told me this morning to keep carefully. Not anymore. I raised my head to look at Lam Man. She immediately retreated behind Trinh Ngoc Cam.
“What are you looking at me for?”
“I didn't throw it away.”
Uncle Ngo said:
“Last night at 10:40.”
“I saw with my own eyes Ms. Lam carrying a black trash bag downstairs.”
“I even opened the door for her myself.”
Lam Man's face immediately changed.
“Can I take out the household trash?”
