Chapter 4 — Reclaim My Company

No one spoke up. An independent board member, Professor Luong, pushes his glasses.

"General Director Tham, after you terminated your voting authorization, what percentage of voting rights can you now control?"

I looked towards the board secretary. His voice was dry.

"General Director Tham currently holds 18.7% of the shares personally. Through the employee share ownership platform, she still retains veto power over 9.2% of the shares. After revoking the authorized voting rights, she regained an additional 12.4% of the voting rights. The total controlling voting rights is 40.3%."

Chu Thua jumped up.

"On what basis should the employee stock ownership platform listen to her?"

I looked at him.

"Because the foundation's charter was written by me."

His expression was extremely unsightly. I continue:

"The core research team, early employees and even the stock option fund are all bound by the founder protection clause. Do you really think I only know how to stay up all night writing code and not know how to read the contract?"

Luc Hanh Chu gritted his teeth.

"I hid it well."

I looked at him.

"It's because I'm so confident."

Rest assured that I love you. Rest assured that I will always put the common good first. Rest assured that I will never turn the blade back on you. Trinh Nghien pushed the file to the middle of the table.

"Nghien Thach Investment Fund is ready to promote the deal through three options: transferring shares as agreed, receiving voting authorization and buying additional shares on the secondary market in accordance with regulations. The prerequisite is that the board of directors must coordinate the investigation, temporarily suspend Luc Hanh Chu's position as General Director, and freeze the powers of relevant managers."

Chu Thua smiled coldly.

"On what basis did you jump in to pick the sweet fruit?"

Trinh Nghien glanced at him.

"Based on the fact that Tham A Hanh would rather sell it to me than leave it to you."

That sentence was like a slap straight to Chu Thua's face. Luc Hanh Chu's voice suddenly calmed down.

"A Hanh, don't let outsiders interfere. Khai Minh is our child, are you really willing to give him to him?"

I stared at him. Yet he still dares to use those two words. My fingers tightened on the edge of the table, the tips of my nails turned white.

"Khai Minh is not my child."

My voice was very calm.

"It was raised with the money to buy the first server that I bought after mortgaging the house my parents left behind."

"It was raised by the algorithm I completed on my hospital bed the day I was hospitalized for a stomach hemorrhage."

"It was raised by the times I drank with customers until I vomited blood, and the next day I still stood up to make a presentation to call for capital as usual."

"And what did you do?"

Luc Hanh Chu's face twitched slightly. I continue for you:

"You took my plan to the stage to speak."

"You take my work to negotiate a price."

"You took my money to feed another family."

The entire meeting room was as quiet as paper. Luc Hanh Chu's eyes were red.

"You were wrong, A Hanh, you really know you were wrong. I'll give you one more chance. You will divorce Hua Man, your child can also..."

"Shut up."

The first time I interrupted him. He was stunned. I stood up and pushed the proposal to temporarily suspend my position in front of everyone Independent board member.

"Let's vote."

In the meeting room, each electronic voting device lit up one by one. Abstain. Luc Hanh Chu stared at the screen, his lips gradually turning pale. The final results appear quickly. Temporarily suspend Luc Hanh Chu's position as General Director, launch an internal investigation and freeze all approval rights. The number of votes in favor exceeded half. Luc Hanh Chu suddenly turned to Chu Thua.

"You also voted yes?"

Chu Thua did not look at him.

"I have to be responsible to the company."

I laughed. The alliance between them is more fragile than the foam on a glass of champagne. When the secretary of the board of directors announced the official resolution to take effect, Luc Hanh Chu's shoulders slumped slightly. He looked at me, his voice hoarse.

"A Hanh, do you really want to destroy me?"

I closed the lid of the pen.

"Not to destroy you."

I looked straight into his eyes.

"It's about clearing you out of what belongs to me."
