Chapter 8
Chapter 8 — Reclaim My Company
At that time, Luc Hanh Chu hugged me and said:
"It's okay, we're not in a hurry."
But just turned back. He had a child with Hua Man. On the phone, Luc's mother kept cursing. I picked up the phone, my voice calm.
"Auntie, do you know that when Luc Hanh Chu and Hua Man registered their marriage, he was still preparing for the wedding with me?"
She paused for a moment.
"So what? You two aren't getting married."
"Do you know that Hua Man spent the company's money?"
"My son is the General Director, what's wrong with spending a little money?"
I gently closed my eyes. Until I open my eyes again. The last bit of old love in my heart was completely broken. Luc's mother shouted.
"Very good what?"
I hung up and turned to the public relations person.
"Give this recording to the lawyer."
Trinh Nghien raised his head and looked at me. I calmly said:
"If the whole family thinks there's no problem spending the company's money..."
"Then let the supervisory agency listen in."
Early the next morning, the Stock Exchange sent an official dispatch requesting an explanation. On black and white paper, it is clearly stated that Khai Minh Khoa Ky must explain whether the board of directors' concealment of marital status, internal control mechanism, misappropriation of capital and transactions with related parties affect the stability of corporate governance or not. That official dispatch was like a rock thrown into a lake. As soon as the session opened, the stock price began to plummet. The atmosphere in the meeting room was heavy and oppressive. Chu Thua sat at the other end of the conference table, his eyes were blue and gray, but he still forced out a cold smile.
"General Manager Tham, are you satisfied now? You exposed the bad things at home to the management agency, causing the company's capitalization to evaporate and employee stock options to lose value. Is that your so-called responsibility?"
Several other senior managers also bowed their heads one after another. They did not dare to openly side with Luc Hanh Chu. But everyone wants to blame the decline in stock prices on me. I looked at the discount chart on the screen. The red and blue numbers kept flashing, just like a heart rate monitor.
"The official letter requesting an explanation is both a risk and a knife's edge. Only by cutting off the rotten flesh can the wound heal."
Chu Thua smiled faintly.
"That's a good thing to say. Will investors believe your beautiful words?"
The conference room door was pushed open. Trinh Nghien led two people in. One person is the leader of the independent audit team. The remaining person is Deputy General Director of Phi Van Group. Chu Thua's face immediately changed. Phi Van is Khai Minh's biggest customer. The Deputy General Director, surnamed Tuong, in his forties, had neatly combed hair. As soon as he sat down, he immediately said:
"Phi Van will not cancel cooperation just because Khai Minh adjusts the governance structure. But we require that the entire project be directly in charge of General Director Tham. Luc Hanh Chu and Chu Thua will no longer be exposed to any of our data."
Chu Thua immediately stood up.
"General Manager Chiang, what do you mean?"
General Manager Chiang glanced at him.
"It means that we received an email you sent privately, which implied that General Director Tham had lost control and advised us to postpone the contract renewal."
The corner of Chu Thua's face twitched slightly. General Manager Chiang pushed one The email was printed out in front of everyone.
"You also said that if our side cooperates, you can give more price incentives in future contracts."
The entire meeting room fell into absolute silence. I looked at Chu Thua.
"Just now you said investors won't listen to beautiful words."
I stopped for a moment.
"Customers also don't listen to dirty words."
Chu Thua's hands were propped up on the table, his knuckles were white.
"I'm just taking advantage of more time for the company."
General Director Tuong replied coldly:
"You are using our business decisions as a tool for your infighting."
Trinh Nghien placed another set of documents on the table.
"Hoang Ich Medical and Bac Cang Logistics also sent an official dispatch, asking Khai Minh to confirm whether Chu Thua had ever arbitrarily made commitments beyond his authority."
Chu Thua's forehead began to sweat. I spoke up:
"Temporarily suspend Chu Thua's position as Deputy General Director, freeze all access rights to customer systems and launch a specialized investigation."
He suddenly looked at me. I calmly said:
"Vote."
No one spoke up to help him. Proposal passed. Chu Thua sat down on the chair, his eyes staring at me.
"Tham A Hanh, you will regret it."
I closed the file.
"I said that sentence yesterday afternoon."
"Let's change the sentence."
The corners of his lips twitched slightly. Suddenly he laughed.
"Do you think I only have customers in my hands?"
