Chapter 9 — Reclaim My Company

The phone vibrated continuously. Several people in the meeting room almost simultaneously bent down to look at the screen. The board secretary's expression immediately changed.

"General Manager Tham, an anonymous post just appeared online accusing you of hiding the core algorithm vulnerability before listing, suspecting fraud during the stock issuance process."

The projection screen immediately switched to that website. The content of the denunciation is half true and half false. It mentioned the system crash three years ago, test model errors two years ago and the late submission of the pre-listing stress test report. All of those things... They all happened. But each issue has been resolved, fully disclosed and confirmed by the audit unit. The anonymous person shredded every old wound. Then combine them into a completely new dirty face. Chu Thua leaned back in his chair, his smile cold and chilling.

"General Manager Tham, the blade is used to cut away rotten flesh..."

"...can also cut an artery."

I looked at that article. There was no panic in my chest. There was only a rising stream of heat. Finally... He counterattacked. That is truly Chu Thua. No crying. Don't beg. Which aimed directly at the technology and compliance process when listing to stab me in the gut. I picked up the phone and called Tran Du.

"Summon the entire research team to the meeting room. Bring the entire version update history from the past three years to the present, the bug fix log and all the original data of the stress tests."

Tran Du immediately replied: I looked at the person in charge of auditing again.

"Please help me get all the original documents submitted when the company listed."

The person in charge of auditing nodded slightly. The smile on Chu Thua's face gradually disappeared.

"The documents you posted online, ordinary people in the management board cannot get them."

His face changed slightly. I stared at him.

"Someone was able to get the old test report, and even intentionally deleted the pages recording bug fixes..."

"...no more than three people."

Trinh Nghien continued:

"In there is someone..."

"...just been suspended from office."

Chu Thua stood up.

"You have no evidence."

I calmly replied:

"There will be."

He turned around to leave. Right at that moment. Lam Dao led the person in charge of information technology security in. In the hand of the IT manager was a laptop, his voice was tense.

"General Manager Tham, it's been found. The anonymous document package posted online last night was exported from an internal network node in General Manager Chu's office. The login account belongs to his assistant."

Chu Thua's footsteps stopped. All eyes in the meeting room turned to him.

"Are you still planning to go?"

Chu Thua turned back. His face was gray, but he still forced a smile.

"What does a self-operating assistant have to do with me?"

I nodded.

"Then report to the police and let your assistant declare himself."

His throat moved slightly. I picked up the phone on the table. Finally, Chu Thua rushed forward, his voice almost breaking.

"Tham A Hanh!"

Security immediately rushed in and stopped him. I said to the other end of the line:

"Hello. I would like to report a case. Someone is suspected of illegally taking, editing and distributing internal documents of a listed company."

Even when the security guard held Chu Thua's shoulder tightly, he still kept struggling. His eyes were bloodshot and scary.

"I've been with you for six years! Just because of one Trinh Nghien, are you going to send me to jail?"

I stood next to the table, calmly looking at him.

"Chu Thua."

"I give you six years..."

"...not for you to steal my house key."

After Chu Thua was taken away, Khai Minh's internal affairs were completely chaotic. Some people frantically brush off their relationship. Someone hastily deleted their chat history. There were people lining up to find Lam Dao to explain that last night he did not laugh, did not join in, nor was he on Hua Man's side. I sat in the office, quietly reviewing each internal self-criticism. There was a heaviness in my chest, as if I was being crushed by a rock. It's not that they don't know what is right and what is wrong. It's just that before... They always thought I wouldn't prosecute. 3 p.m. Finally, Luc Hanh Chu also appeared. He's not wearing a suit. His shirt collar was wrinkled, his chin was stubbled, and his whole body felt like his spine had been stripped clean. Lam Dao stood in front of the door.

"Mr. Luc, General Manager Tham is busy."

He lowered his voice.

"I just said a few words."

I raised my head.

"Let him in."

Luc Hanh Chu walked in. In his hand he held an old box. That's the keyboard we bought the first year we started our business. The spacebar broke three times. I still can't bear to throw it away.
