Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — The 420 Thousand Yuan Car And The Marriage Was Returned
As soon as he finished speaking, two more people walked in outside the door. Nguyen Niem Niem wore a white life jacket, with tiny raindrops still on the brim of his hat. Behind her is Bui Nghien Chu. Perhaps because he rushed over, his hair was wet, and only anger remained in his eyes. As soon as he saw me, Nguyen Niem Niem's eyes turned red.
"Miss Tri Vi, I'm sorry."
"It's all your fault. You shouldn't have thought about borrowing my car."
"But I haven't been able to go out in a really long time."
Bui Nghien Chu instinctively pulled her behind him, protecting her. That move... I've seen it too many times. When she was in college, at club parties, she couldn't drink alcohol, so he drank instead. After going to work, her house had a leak. In the middle of the night, he ran to help fix it. She lost her cat, he took time off work to go look for it with her. Every time I spoke up, he said:
"She didn't have a brother since she was little."
"I care about her a little more, don't be so petty."
And now... He stands between my car and my life. But the person he protects is still her.
"Hua Tri Vi, give me the key."
Bui Nghien Chu reached out his hand. Cold wind blew in from the gallery door. Rainwater fell onto the toes of my shoes. The metal edge of the key pressed painfully against my palm. Before I could open my mouth, Nguyen Niem Niem suddenly took a step forward. Tears fell down.
"Miss Tri Vi..."
"Are you angry because I used to sit in the passenger seat?"
"From now on, it's okay if I don't sit anymore."
Bui Nghien Chu's face became even colder.
"Look how you scared her?"
After speaking, he directly reached out and broke my fingers off one by one. On Nhuoc Duong quickly called security. During the chaos, Bui Nghien Chu leaned close to my ear and lowered his voice:
"Don't force me to make you lose face in front of outsiders."
The very next second. He forcefully snatched the keys from my palm. The back of his hand rubbed hard against the corner of the table. A drop of blood immediately flowed out. Nguyen Niem Niem shouted softly in surprise. But Bui Nghien Chu only glanced at the wound. Then turned around and put the keys in her hand.
"Get in the car and wait for me."
Security stopped Luc Thanh right in front of the door. Bui Nghien Chu turned his head and glared at me:
"Do you still want to make a big deal out of it and call the police?"
As soon as the three words were uttered, the anger on his face immediately stopped. Nguyen Niem Niem sat in the car, looking at me through the windshield. The wipers weren't turned on, her face was cut into blurry patches by rain streaks. Bui Nghien Chu burst out laughing as if he had just heard something very funny:
"Hua Tri Vi, do you really think the police will handle arguments between lovers?"
"It's true that the car was bought by you."
"But the vehicle system administrator rights are set by me."
"I'm just helping you manage."
On Nhuoc Duong couldn't help but speak:
"Sir, arbitrarily driving a vehicle remotely without the vehicle owner's consent endangers traffic safety."
"This is not a family matter."
Bui Nghien Chu looked at her coldly:
"You're just a salesperson, what do you know?"
"Our company works on intelligent control. I understand much better than you."
At that moment, the phone screen lit up. It was my mother calling. As soon as she picked up the phone, she spoke Question now:
"Tri Vi, Nghien Chu's mother just called you."
"She said you wanted to call the police to arrest Nghien Chu because of a car?"
"What's wrong with you?"
My throat felt like it was stuck in a lump of cotton. Bui Nghien Chu stood next to him, his eyes full of certainty of victory. My mother continued:
"Nghien Chu's conditions are so good."
"You're almost thirty, don't make a move and get angry."
"It's normal for men to have a few close friends."
"I've met Niem Niem before, she's so pitiful."
"If you do everything so wonderfully, who will dare to marry you in the future?"
I looked at the congealed blood on the back of my hand and asked softly:
"He locked my car's speed to twenty kmh on the highway, almost killing me."
The other end of the line was silent for a few seconds. Then my father's voice rang out:
"But in the end, nothing happened?"
"Do you have to make a big deal out of such a small thing?"
Bui Nghien Chu's face softened a bit. Nguyen Niem Niem also got out of the car and walked over holding an umbrella. The umbrella was almost tilted towards Bui Nghien Chu. The rain flowed down my shoulders and down my collar.
"Don't blame Tri Vi."
Nguyen Niem Niem spoke to my phone while crying.
"It's all my fault."
"Since I was little, I haven't had a father, so Nghien Chu loves me a little more."
"Miss Tri Vi misunderstood us, I can understand."
My mother immediately softened:
"Nien Niem, don't cry."
"Tri Vi is stubborn, let me talk to her again."
That moment... Everyone around was looking at me.
