Chapter 8
Chapter 8 — The 420 Thousand Yuan Car And The Marriage Was Returned
I looked at him.
"Bui Nghien Chu."
"Do you always think that..."
"I'm so afraid I won't be able to marry you?"
His expression immediately darkened.
"Don't say things in anger."
I bowed my head and sent a message to Wen Nhuoc Duong. Very quickly she replied:
"The dashcam memory card is still in the car, I can't help you get it."
"But the surveillance camera at the car delivery center recorded the scene of her having her keys stolen."
"I just applied for backup according to internal procedures."
"I'll get it before tomorrow morning."
There's still time. Finally, the police asked both sides to temporarily go home and wait for announcements. When I walked out of the police station. It's almost dawn. Bui's mother was so sleepy that her face was pale. But still don't forget to warn me:
"Go back and transfer the compensation today."
"There's also money for the wedding house."
"We also have to recalculate."
"With your current reputation."
"If our family is willing to marry you, it's already your blessing."
Nguyen Niem Niem leaned on Bui Nghien Chu's shoulder. Bui Nghien Chu looked at me.
"Get in the car."
His car was parked on the side of the road. On the passenger seat was Nguyen Niem Niem's bag. The back seats were loaded with skis. My car is gone.
"Where is the car?"
Bui Nghien Chu avoided my eyes.
"Luc Thanh drove to the ski area."
"Nim Niem waited all night."
"Anyway, we can't let her book a hotel in vain."
The cold wind blew past the fingerprints still on my face. Burning pain. I asked again:
"Where is the dash cam memory card?"
Nguyen Niem Niem's fingers curled slightly. Bui Nghien Chu frowned.
"Do you still want to use that thing to cause chaos?"
Luc Thanh poked his head out of the car.
"Stop looking."
"I took it off."
He shook the small memory card in his hand. Right in front of me. Then conveniently throw it into the roadside drain. Nguyen Niem Niem said softly:
"Miss Tri Vi."
"So everyone can start over."
Bui Nghien Chu did not stop him. He just said:
"Get in the car."
"Don't get cold."
I stood in front of the police station door. Watching the sewer swallow up the last piece of memory card. Right at that moment. The rear door opens automatically. A man wearing a long dark gray coat stepped out. In his hand he held a bag of documents. He stopped next to me. Glanced at Bui Nghien Chu. Then speak up:
"Are you Hua Tri Vi?"
I turned my head. The man gave me a business card. Luc Dinh Van.
"Wen Nhuoc Duong asked me to come."
"She said..."
"Maybe you need someone who doesn't mind trouble."
Luc Dinh Van's car parked at the corner of the street. Before I got in the car, Bui Nghien Chu stepped forward to block the road.
"Hua Tri Vi, what relationship do you have with him?"
I almost burst out laughing. Behind him is Nguyen Niem Niem. Holding my blanket in my arms. At my feet lay my car keys. Yet he asked me what relationship I had with a strange lawyer. Luc Dinh Van calmly spoke:
"I am a lawyer authorized by Ms. Hua."
"From now on, all matters related to property, injuries, vehicle control and marital disputes..."
"Please contact me directly."
Bui Nghien Chu's face immediately became ugly.
"She hasn't authorized you yet."
Luc Dinh Van looked at me. I accepted the authorization letter you gave me. Sign the last page. As the tip of the pen glides across the paper... Bui Nghien Chu's breathing is clearly heavy than.
"Now it's authorized."
Nguyen Niem Niem whispered:
"Miss Tri Vi..."
"Do you really want to do things to this extent?"
Luc Dinh Van put the file back.
"Miss Nguyen."
"If it is confirmed that the wound on your hand is not related to Ms. Hua..."
"Then you will also have to bear the corresponding legal responsibility."
Nguyen Niem Niem's face immediately turned pale. Bui's mother quickly blocked her.
"Who are you scaring?"
Luc Dinh Van did not bother to respond. The car door closed. All outside sounds are immediately blocked out. I leaned back in the back seat. Only then did I realize my whole body was shaking from the cold. Luc Dinh Van gave me a bottle of water.
"First go to the hospital to have your injuries assessed."
"The face, back of the hands and knees all have to be recorded."
The emergency department is very crowded. I sat on a chair in the hallway. I heard someone nearby arguing about falling. Luc Dinh Van went to line up. Every movement is neat and decisive. There aren't any superfluous words of comfort. When the test results were returned... The morning sunlight was already filtering through the glass window. Damage to the soft tissue of the left cheek. Scratched back of hand. Bruised knee. The doctor looked at the file and asked:
"Domestic violence?"
I was silent. Luc Dinh Van answered for me:
"Conflict in the marital relationship accompanied by assault and property disputes."
The doctor raised his head and looked at me.
