Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — The Emperor gave me a wedding, the General publicly proposed me as his concubine, I threw away my veil and left
I looked at her and asked:
“You said just now that you are willing to take the child out of the capital.”
Lieu Thanh Ha was stunned for a moment. We continue to say:
“But in this letter, it is written that you must marry me into the palace to retain General Luc's position.”
"If a person really wants to leave, why does he have to borrow me to marry him into the palace?"
Lieu Thanh Ha's lips trembled slightly. Luc Canh Tham suddenly spoke:
“Lin Chieu Nha, this letter is not necessarily written by her.”
I turned my head to look at him.
“Even now, General Luc still wants to speak up for her?”
He clenched his fists, his voice low.
“I don't want to help her get away with her crime.”
“It's just... I don't believe she would do something like that.”
I smiled softly.
“You don't believe it.”
“So do everyone else deserve to be trampled under your feet?”
Luc Canh Tham's face immediately stiffened. The Queen looked towards the forbidden army.
“Has Mama Truong confessed yet?”
Cam Quan replied:
"He was escorted outside the palace, but still complained."
The Emperor said: A moment later. An old man with disheveled hair was dragged into the temple. As soon as she saw Lieu Thanh Ha, impatience immediately appeared in her eyes.
“Miss, save the old slave.”
Lieu Thanh Ha trembled slightly and immediately lowered her head. Mother Truong prostrated herself on the ground, crying and calling out:
"Your Majesty understands, this old slave really doesn't know anything. That letter was not written by the old slave."
His Majesty asked:
“It wasn't you who wrote it, so who wrote it?”
Mama Truong's teeth chattered together.
“This old slave... doesn't know a few words.”
The Queen calmly said:
"I'm illiterate, yet I can represent Lieu to pass the word to the Luc palace guards, and can also take care of the entire family at the palace gate?"
Mother Truong's crying suddenly stopped. Miss Van took out a few checks and a small copper card from her sleeve.
“These are the things found at the bottom of Mama Zhang's chest.”
"The check was issued from the money station in the south of the city, and this bronze card is the access card to the warehouse of the Ministry of Military Affairs."
Several high-ranking officials in the palace all changed their faces. The Minister of Military Affairs took a step forward, knelt down and said:
“Your Majesty, I will immediately check the warehouse access card management records.”
The Emperor did not look at him, just asked Mother Truong:
“Who gave it to you?”
Mama Truong clenched her teeth and didn't say a word. Lieu Thanh Ha suddenly burst into tears.
“Mom, if you really did something wrong, then admit it.”
“Don't involve the General anymore, and don't involve the child in my womb.”
Mama Truong suddenly raised her head to look at her. There was surprise in those eyes. There is also resentment after being abandoned by his master. My heart moved slightly. It turns out that between this pair of master and servant... It's not an indivisible block of iron. Mother Truong trembled and said:
“Miss, you cannot treat this old slave like that.”
Lieu Thanh Ha tearfully replied:
“I don't know what she did.”
“I can't protect you either.”
Mama Truong stared at her. Suddenly burst out laughing. That hoarse, hard-to-hear laugh. Just like a dull blade grinding against a stone surface.
“Okay... very good.”
"This old slave ran ahead and ran behind for you, for you to hide the matter in the private courtyard in the west of the city, for you to invite the doctor, for you to convey the news to the Luc residence."
“In the end, everything becomes the old slave's will own."
Lieu Thanh Ha screamed shrilly:
“You lied.”
Mama Truong raised her hand and pointed straight at her.
“The old slave lied?”
"Who said that the Lam family's daughter is protected by royal grace, as long as she marries into the palace, General Luc will be forced to preserve the Luc family?"
"Who said we should wait until we finish worshiping before making a fuss? In order to save face, most of the Lam family's daughters will hold back?"
"Who said that as long as she becomes a concubine, the position of main wife will sooner or later belong to you?"
Every sentence uttered. Luc Canh Tham's face became even more unsightly. Lieu Thanh Ha continuously shook her head, tears rolling down endlessly.
“Not me.”
“General, I don't have one.”
Luc Canh Tham looked at her. But it was no longer like before, immediately stepped up to protect him. His hesitation fell into Lieu Thanh Ha's eyes. Her crying suddenly became more intense.
“I'm just... scared.”
"I'm afraid the baby will be born without a name or a destiny."
“I'm afraid the General will be laughed at by people.”
"I'm afraid that Lady Thai won't tolerate me."
The Thai lady closed her eyes tightly. Her whole body staggered, as if about to collapse. The Emperor picked up the bronze card, his fingertips gently caressing the surface.
“A ghost in the private hospital... was able to get an access card to the Military Department's warehouse.”
"A pregnant woman... dares to borrow the marriage decree to plot and scheme."
“Luc Canh Tham, you have guarded the border for many years.”
"And yet you don't even know where the hand of the person next to you has reached."
Luc Canh Tham bowed his head vigorously.
“God seven kills.”
The Emperor smiled coldly.
“Is it just seven kills?”
