Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — The Fateful Trial
Ha Tuan opened his mouth with difficulty: "His name is Ha Binh. He is my eldest brother's son." I stared at him: “Your eldest brother?” I married Ha Tuan for two years. He never mentioned that he had an older brother. On his household registration book, he is the only one who is a boy. On the wedding day, only his mother Lam Mai and a few distant relatives attended. Ha Tuan softly said: "Your eldest brother left home many years ago. The family doesn't want to talk about it. Ha Binh used to live with his grandmother. Recently his grandmother passed away, no one took care of him." I smirked: "No one cares, so you registered it in my family register? And changed its name to Ha An An?" Ha Tuan immediately clarified: "I didn't change my name. It was my mother who did it." My heart sank. Lam Mai. When I was pregnant, my mother-in-law thought about a name for her child every day, saying the name An An was the most auspicious. She once cried and begged me, saying she must name the child Ha An An, saying this name would ensure peace. It turned out that the person she wanted to keep safe was not just the baby I was holding in my arms. I asked Ha Tuan: "What about your signature?" Ha Tuan bowed his head: "Mom said I need your consent to do the procedure. He said I just gave birth, it's not convenient. Mom said I signed a few papers beforehand, you can use them." My stomach churned with nausea.
“What documents?”
Ha Tuan didn't dare look at me: "Pay for maternity insurance. Health insurance. And household registration documents for the child." I remember now. During the month, Lam Mai held a stack of papers and asked me to sign. She said they were all documents needed by the hospital and agency. At that time, my surgery wound was so painful that I couldn't sleep, and my baby was in the hospital because of jaundice. I basically didn't look closely at each sheet. I just believe she is my child's grandmother. I only believe that Ha Tuan is my husband. The teenager named Ha Binh suddenly took a step forward: "Auntie, I'm sorry." I looked up at it: "Don't call me aunt." The boy's face turned white. Ha Tuan quickly said: "Duong Hoa, the boy is also a victim. He doesn't know these things." I looked at him: "So do you know? Do you know he is registered as my son?" Ha Tuan was silent. Silence is the answer. I held my child and took a step back: "It turns out you knew all along. You watched me receive the summons, watched my three-month-old child being sued in court. And yet you still dared to tell me you didn't know." Ha Tuan's voice was hoarse: "I thought it was just a household registration problem. I didn't expect everything to end up in court. I didn't expect Vuong Xao Tran to sue An An." I heard it and laughed: "Because on legal documents, that sixteen-year-old boy's name is also Ha An An. You guys personally turned him into my son. Now that he's causing trouble, you're forcing me and my son to bear the blame." Ha Tuan stepped up: "It's not your fault. I'll handle it."
“How do you solve it?”
I pointed towards the courtroom: "Vuong Xao Tran asked for five hundred thousand yuan. Her daughter said she was beaten. On the camera there is a teenager wearing a black shirt. Now tell me, that teenager is standing right here. How do you handle it?" Ha Binh looked up: "It's not me who hit you." I looked at it: "So who is it?" Its lips moved but no sound came out. At that moment, Vuong Xao Tran rushed out from the intersection. She obviously heard the following part. She Pointing at Ha Binh, his voice was shrill: "That's it! Le Le, is that it?" Phung Le Le stood behind her, her face without a drop of blood. Vuong Xao Tran grabbed her shoulder and pushed her forward: "Look clearly! Is that her?" Phung Le Le looked at Ha Binh. Tears fell profusely. The girl shook her head: "Mom, don't ask anymore." Vuong Xao Tran was stunned: "What did you say?" Phung Le Le cried and stepped back: "I told you not to ask anymore! He never hit me!"
