Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — The Rest Of Your Life Is Sweet
Looking at the lineup the whole family is forcing me. Looking at Hoac Tranh in front of him again, his eyes were full of expectation and tension. The wall in my heart built with pride and stubbornness immediately collapsed. I burst out laughing. With tears in the corners of my eyes, I grabbed his tie and pulled it down with force.
“Okay, I respect your sincere attitude.”
"Tomorrow morning at nine o'clock, in front of the civil affairs department. If you dare to be one second late, you will surely die!"
Hoo Tranh felt like a burden had been lifted. A light of joy immediately flared in his eyes. Right in front of the whole family, he picked me up and spun me around three times in the middle of the living room. After putting me down, he immediately took out his phone. Call a phone number.
"Old Truong, I'm Hoac Tranh. Marriage registration is at nine o'clock tomorrow morning, give me a priority spot."
Hang up the phone, he gently rubbed my nose. The smile was as bright as a teenager who had just eaten candy.
"Tran My Giai, even if you grow wings this time, don't regret it."
11 The next morning. The sunlight is beautiful and the breeze is pleasant. Hoac Tranh and I hugged Niem Gia, who was wearing bright red clothes, and walked into the lobby of the civil affairs department. Just entered the door. I was scared by the scene before me to take two steps back. On both sides of the hall were more than twenty familiar faces wearing white blouses and nurse uniforms standing neatly. All are doctors and nurses in Hoac Tranh's neurosurgery department.
"Hello homeroom teacher Hoac! Hello sister-in-law!"
Everyone bowed in unison, the sound echoed throughout the hall. Vice President Liu rushed forward like an arrow. In my hand I stuffed a lucky money envelope with the words "two joys" so large that it was absurdly large.
"Sister-in-law! This is a little bit of the heart of our entire department! Wishing you two a happy wedding and giving birth to your second child soon!"
The head nurse also rushed over and reached out to pull my arm.
"My Giai, from now on, Director Hoac dares to stay at home and pretend to be a leader, you just go to the hospital to complain. Our entire department is your mother's house!"
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He kept nodding his head in thanks, the temperature on his face never dropping. Hoac Tranh raised his eyebrows. Very naturally, I accepted all the lucky money envelopes and conveniently stuffed them all into my jacket pocket.
"Thank you everyone. The hundred days party and the wedding next week, remember to prepare an empty stomach."
The steel seal is stamped down.
“Split.”
Two marriage certificates with bright red seals lay neatly in our hands. Hoac Tranh held the marriage certificate and carefully blew on the ink stain. That respectful look was a hundred times more serious than when he received the international medical award. Leaving the civil affairs department, we went straight to the banquet hall of Hai Duong Garden. Today is Niem Gia's hundred-day party, and is also the day to announce our marriage news to all relatives and friends. In the banquet hall, there were bright flowers and many guests. When the show was halfway done. The host smiled and handed the microphone to Hoac Tranh.
“Next, please ask Dr. Hoac to give his wife and daughter a secret gift!”
Hoo Tranh strode his long legs onto the stage. On the big screen behind him did not show cliche love pictures. It's an electronic comic book with a hand-drawn style. The name of the story is:
"The wanderings of the stupid My Giai and the wooden-headed doctor".
The drawing style, although not too professional, is extremely thoughtful. Above Draw the antics when we first met, draw his regret for being diagnosed, draw his stubbornness when going all over the mountains and rivers looking for me. Each page is accompanied by his gentle voiceover. Guests below watched until they shed tears. I stood under the stage, covering my mouth, tears falling unobtrusively. The story ends. Staff pushed up a giant crystal cart. On top of the car is an extremely rare limited edition blind box. All of them are hidden models that I have spent countless years still unable to open.
“This is a gift for my Mrs. Tran, I hope she will always keep her young heart.”
Hoo Tranh looked at me with a smile in his eyes. Right after that, he took out a very thick yellow document from the bottom floor of the cart.
“This is a lifetime annuity insurance policy for my daughter and wife.”
He faced everyone, his voice was calm and strong.
"The insurance amount is thirty million. If one day something unexpected happens to me, I will no longer be in this world."
“This fund is enough to ensure that mother and child do not have to worry about food and clothing for the rest of their lives, and can live as they wish.”
The whole auditorium immediately stirred. My parents sat below, secretly wiping their tears, nodding continuously. I can't control my emotions anymore. Lifted up her skirt, rushed like crazy onto the stage, and jumped directly into Hoac Tranh's arms. He very skillfully opened his arms wide and firmly embraced me.
"Your black crow mouth! What nonsense are you talking about on a happy day!"
I buried myself in his chest, crying and laughing, punching his shoulder. Hoac Tranh let me vent my anger. His hands tightened around my waist, pressing me close to his body without leaving any gaps. He bowed his head. Her thin, seductive lips leaned close to my ear, whispering in a low, domineering voice:
“Tran My Giai, the certificate has been received.”
“From now on, if you dare to hug my daughter and run away…”
He stopped and gently bit my earlobe.
“I will put both of you in my bag and take it with me wherever I go, making it so that even if you breathe, I have to agree.”
Listen to that extremely overbearing threat but filled with deep emotions. Finally I completely gave up my ridiculous stubbornness. I raised my head. Her arms wrapped around his neck, facing his eyes and smiling brightly.
“Doctor with wooden head, then you have to hug tightly.”
After speaking, I proactively stood on tiptoe. Amid everyone's enthusiastic applause and whistles, I kissed him hard on the lips. Sunlight shines through the begonia branches, shining on our wedding rings. Dazzling brilliance. The rest of my life is all sweet. COMPLETE.
