Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — The Six Year Lie
He didn't believe it and turned away. He thought she was lying, thinking it was just an excuse she made up to avoid having to kneel. "Where is she?" To Cam Xuyen's voice was hoarse, her eyes red. Tieu Chu wiped her tears and turned away: "I said I don't know. She doesn't want you to find her." To Cam Xuyen leaned against the counter, one hand supporting her head, her shoulders shaking. The nurses in the hallway all looked at him, but no one dared to speak. The phone rang, it was Ha Giao Giao calling. He looked at the screen then threw the phone hard on the ground. He squatted down, covering his face with both hands, not making a sound. PART 7 When I left the hospital, it was already dark. To Cam Xuyen did not know how he got into the car. His hands holding the steering wheel were still shaking, Tieu Chu's words kept repeating in his head. He started the car. Your Tri Ha is definitely at home. On the road, he continuously ran red lights, and cars honked loudly, but he didn't hear them. He stopped the car downstairs, looked up, saw the dark apartment window, and immediately ran upstairs. The door opened, there was no sound, no light, and no one in the house. To Cam Xuyen raised his hand to turn on the light. Everything remains in its original position. He went into the bedroom, pulled out the wardrobe, her clothes were still hanging inside. Coming out of the bedroom, when he turned around, he saw the file bag on the dining table: the divorce agreement. He pulled out, his eyes falling to the last page. In the signature box are his names and Thinh Tri Ha's. I remember now. That day she gave him some documents and asked him to sign, saying the hospital needed them. Without even looking, he signed directly. It turned out that from that moment on, she was preparing to leave. To Cam Xuyen held the divorce agreement, her hand stiffened. He slowly squatted at the dining table, clasping the agreement in his hand, the blue veins on his arms appearing. There was a knock outside the door. He suddenly raised his head, thinking Tri Ha had returned. He stood up, rushed to the door, and yanked it open. Ha Giao Giao stood outside. She was wearing a loose skirt and a coat over it, with a smile on her face: "Cam Xuyen, why can't you call me? I've been looking for you all night." To Cam Xuyen held the door handle, her eyes gradually sank from anticipation. He let go and leaned over to let her in. Ha Giao Giao walked in, looked around and saw the divorce agreement open on the dining table. She picked it up, looked at it, smiled and said: "Miss Tri Ha has already signed a divorce agreement." To Cam Xuyen did not speak. Ha Giao Giao threw the agreement back on the table, turned around to look at him, her voice softened: "Cam Xuyen, do you still miss Tri Ha? She doesn't need you anymore, why do you still remember?" "Don't say it anymore." To Cam Xuyen said. Ha Giao Giao walked in front of him, reached out to pull his collar, tiptoed close: "What's good about her? She's just a nurse, her younger brother is a sick kid. What can she give you? I can. My dad said that next month your position will be approved." To Cam Xuyen did not move. Ha Giao Giao's finger drew a circle on his chest: "Cam Xuyen, don't think about her anymore. She doesn't need you, but I need you." To Cam Xuyen grabbed her hand and said in a very low voice: "Don't tell her." The smile on Ha Giao Giao's face faded. She took a step back, crossed her arms and looked at him: "To Cam Xuyen, what do you mean? Because of you, how many good words have I said in front of my father? Who is your job title? Now you show your attitude towards me because of her?" To Cam Xuyen took a deep breath: "I don't." "So what did you say just now? Don't say her? What is she to you? You two are divorced." To Cam Xuyen was silent for a moment, walked over, hugged her shoulder, lowered his voice: "Okay, Giao Giao, don't be angry anymore." Ha Giao Giao snorted and did not move. To Cam Xuyen pulled her into his arms, bowed his head and kissed her hair: "You were wrong." At this time, Ha Giao Giao leaned into his arms and hugged his waist
Older brother. A moment later, she raised her head to look at him, the corners of her lips curled up, her voice very low: "Cam Xuyen, I'm a virgin." To Cam Xuyen's hand stopped on her waist: "What did you say?" "I'm a virgin." Ha Giao Giao smiled. “My child.”To Cam Xuyen was stunned. He looked at Ha Giao Giao's face, in his mind there was only the scene of Thinh Tri Ha kneeling down and the words "I'm dead". Ha Giao Giao saw that he didn't say anything and pushed him: "Aren't you happy?" To Cam Xuyen regained consciousness and forced the corner of his lips: "Happy." He hugged her, resting his chin on the top of her head. Ha Giao Giao smiled in his arms, said she had to go for a prenatal check-up, had to buy a baby bed, and said that if her father knew, he would definitely be happy. To Cam Xuyen couldn't hear a word. His eyes went over her shoulder, falling on the divorce agreement. PART 8 The next day, To Cam Xuyen went to the hospital. He did not return to his office but went straight to the nursing room. Thinh Tri Ha's workplace was empty, and the furniture on the desk was gone. He asked the nurse on duty, who said he didn't know. He asked the head nurse, the head nurse said Tri Ha was not in their department so he didn't know. He turned around and walked to the homeroom's office. The homeroom teacher was looking at documents. When he saw him coming in, he took off his glasses: "Cam Xuyen, what's going on?" "Where did Thinh Tri Ha go?"
