Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Three Years of Patience, One Day of Flipping the Cards
I raised my head. Co Canh Tham raised his eyebrows.
“You should ask.”
“Bidding documents for the project to renovate the southern citadel last month.”
The whole living room suddenly became quiet. The expression on Co Canh Tham's face did not change. But the hand that was adjusting the cuff suddenly stopped.
“What does that have to do with divorce?”
“I just want to confirm something.”
My voice was very calm.
“That file was made by me.”
“From market analysis.”
“Cost Estimation.”
“Risk Assessment.”
“For two weeks straight.”
“Every day I work until three in the morning.”
“I want to ask you.”
“You told your mother who made it?”
Tien My Hoa turned to look at her son. Co Canh Tham smiled faintly.
“Nem Khanh.”
“I admit that you once helped the company.”
“But that project was the work of an entire team.”
“I insisted on taking all the credit for myself.”
“What does it mean?”
“During the signing.”
“I let To Uyen Ninh represent the company to attend.”
“Because she has a good image.”
“Suitable for meeting customers.”
“What do you want to say?”
I bowed my head and smiled softly.
"Nothing."
"I got it."
Tien My Hoa smacked her lips.
“So did you finally sign or not?”
I stepped forward. Sit down next to the tea table. Flip through the agreement from beginning to end.
“I need three days to think.”
Tien My Hoa almost jumped up.
“What is there to think about?”
Co Canh Tham stopped her. Then look at me.
“Three days is fine.”
“But three days later if you don't sign.”
“I will follow the legal path.”
“Nem Khanh.”
“I don't have the capital to fight you right now.”
“Think carefully.”
He stood up. As I passed by I stopped.
“Ah yes.”
“The project to renovate the southern citadel.”
“Partners responded very well.”
“They said the bid documents were excellent.”
“Uyen Ninh's name is written on it.”
“Consider it the first achievement that's enough to show off since she joined the company.”
“I'm a little more generous.”
“Stop calculating.”
He patted my shoulder. Like comforting a child. Then he took his mother and lawyer and left. In the large living room, I was alone. The finger slowly rotated the blue jade ring on the ring finger. The phone suddenly rang. It's a message. Luc Dao sent to:
“I heard that the fox named To beat your father yesterday in The Mau?”
“I'm downstairs at your house.”
“Open the door for me now.”
“I want to hear it from your own mouth.”
I stood up. Click to unlock the door. Three minutes later. Luc Dao rushed straight into the house. The sports clothes have not yet been changed. Hair tied high. His face was red with anger.
“Tham Niem Khanh.”
“Tell me the truth.”
She kicked aside her shoes in the mysterious entrance. Stroll into the living room. Cross your arms across your chest.
“Is what happened last night true?”
“Is Co Canh Tham present?”
“How did he react?”
I raised my eyes. The voice was calm and terrifying.
“Give her a tissue.”
Luc Dao took a deep breath. Then turn around and walk around the living room twice. Like a leopard trapped in an iron cage. His eyes were red with anger.
“Give me a tissue?”
“He gave tissues?”
Luc Dao repeated those three words. Her voice got higher and higher.
“Give a tissue to the woman who just beat your father?”
“Tham Niem Khanh, I'm really asking.”
“Does this kind of man keep it for Tet?”
“Now you come with me.”
“Let's get divorced today.”
“Don't stay in this house for a second again."
“He really wants to divorce me.”
I pointed to the stack of documents on the tea table. Luc Dao immediately grabbed it. Flip through each page. The more you look at it, the more unsightly it becomes.
“Divided three seven?”
“Why doesn't he just go rob it?”
“For three years you have worked for his company without pay.”
“You brought it back to the project to renovate the southern city area.”
“You also handled the negotiations with suppliers at the beginning of the year.”
“But only give you three parts?”
She threw the documents back onto the coffee table.
“Any of the above terms are insulting your IQ.”
“I haven't signed yet.”
“Luckily I haven't signed yet.”
Luc Dao stared at me.
“So what are you going to do?”
I turned the jade ring on my finger around and around.
“Give me a few days.”
Luc Dao opened his mouth to say something. In the end, he just clicked his tongue. Then sit down next to me. Pressing my head to rest on her shoulder.
“Him.”
“It's just being too patient.”
“If it were me, last night at the restaurant I would have scratched To Uyen Ninh's face.”
I didn't reply.
“How is your father?”
“Face is swollen.”
“My hand is also bruised.”
“I told him to rest more.”
“I'll come visit my uncle tomorrow.”
Luc Dao clenched his fists.
“Ah yes.”
“There's something I don't know if I should say it or not.”
“This morning I met To Uyen Ninh at the shopping center.”
“She sat drinking coffee with a bunch of people.”
“The voice was so loud that it was intentionally made for the whole restaurant to hear.”
“She boasted that the project to renovate the southern city area was done by her.”
“Canh Tham rewarded her with a car.”
“That group of people immediately gathered around to flatter them.”
"Who knows, President Co really has an eye for people."
"Let's find an assistant who is both beautiful and talented."
My ring rotation stopped.
“She also said one more thing.”
Luc Dao looked at my face. Hesitated for a second and then said it anyway.
“She said she already knows this Mrs. Co's position.”
"Anyway, the official wife is just a poor person with no support from her mother's family."
“It won't create any stir.”
Outside the window. A wind blew in. Make the curtains slightly bulge.
“I know.”
“Tham Niem Khanh.”
“That expression of yours is so familiar to me.”
“You are planning something.”
Luc Dao tilted his head and looked at me.
“If you want to do something, say it directly.”
“Don't take it all on yourself.”
“I don't plan to do anything.”
I stood up. Pick up the cold cups of tea on the table.
“Are you hungry?”
“Let me cook noodles.”
Luc Dao was so angry that I rolled his eyes. But in the end, I didn't ask any more.
