Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — Weddings Without Brides
The manager came out of the office, saw me standing there and was a bit surprised:
"Miss Tham, why don't you come inside? Mr. Luc and they are also there."
“No need.”
I handed the change form back to him.
“Please note on the system: Without my own signature, no one is allowed to change the person in charge of the event, the insurance buyer and party A of the contract.”
“So what about the final meeting tomorrow?”
“I will come.”
He looked toward the conference room, then looked back at me.
“Is the event still going on normally?”
“Let's decide tomorrow.”
I stepped into the elevator. At that moment, Luc Tram Chu's phone call came.
“Are you at the hotel?”
“Yes.”
"Why don't you come in? To Tinh wants to apologize to you directly."
“Not necessary.”
"Kieu Kieu, don't be so angry anymore. Tomorrow morning's final meeting at ten o'clock, remember to be on time. After signing the process, I will take you to choose the main wedding dress again."
“Okay.”
He probably didn't expect me to agree so quickly, so he paused a bit.
“Are you thinking clearly?”
“See you tomorrow.”
I hung up the phone. Back in the car, I drafted a written notice to send simultaneously to the hotel, the wedding party, the dress shop, the florist team, the makeup artist and the livestream company.
"From the time this notice is sent, all changes related to the bride's name, personnel, process, image use rights, insurance and rights/obligations in the contract, without the signature of Party A, Tham Kieu, will be considered invalid. I will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred."
After sending, six response emails jumped onto the screen one after another. I took off my engagement ring and stuffed it into the passenger seat compartment. The ring pressed against the wedding countdown sign was cracked in half. Only 3 days left. But my wedding is over. Chapter 7 The night before the final meeting, I did not return to the apartment that Luc Tram Chu and I were renting together. The house for the bride and groom hasn't been handed over yet, so we were supposed to officially move the house after the wedding. Now that I think back, this is the last piece of luck that this love affair left me with. I rented a hotel room near the company, laid out six contracts on the table, and reviewed each cancellation clause. The hotel deposit cost 32,000 yuan. The wedding planning fee costs 15,000 yuan. Fresh flowers, makeup and livestream payment according to completed progress, total 21,000 yuan. The wedding dress shop arbitrarily accepted a request to repair the dress from an unauthorized person, and must be responsible for recovery and compensation, not including the cost of my breach of contract. A total of 68,000 yuan. Phung Diem is right, this is not a small amount of money. I looked at the numbers on the computer, but in the end I still signed my name at the bottom of each contract termination notice. If the project is ruined, it can be redone. Lost money can be earned back. Those who choose wrongly should promptly stop their losses. After signing the last sheet, I logged into the wedding invitation management system again. The support staff has already sorted out the full version. On the original card, the bride was me, and the website had two access portals: "Wedding" and "Dinner". When Luc Tram Chu first changed his name, he did not create a separate page for To Tinh, but directly overwrote my page. The system once prompted: “Do you want to create a copy for another event?” He chose: “No.” In the latest version, the portal “Party evening" was also deleted, leaving only one wedding ceremony starting at 9:30 a.m. I clicked on delete history. In the action notes, I wrote: "Guests do not need to enter the yard twice, avoiding process conflicts." This line does not directly say where my wedding will go, but the answer is already laid out before my eyes. I save the history, don't bother guessing any more. Tomorrow, I will force them to bring the complete process in front of all the contracting parties.
