Chapter 19 — Eight Years Change One Time Letting Go

“Buying naval posts, buying raw materials, those funds, were they taken from Tham Bach Chu's account, or from your adoptive father's account?”

Trinh Van Chieu looked at her like she saw a ghost, taking two consecutive steps back.

“Sister-in-law, if you don't go there, Mr. Bach Chu will really lose his life!”

She panicked and tried to use morality to control Han Mo Tuyet again.

"He said, if you just go to the hospital and look at him once, he will sign the consent form for surgery. If you don't even agree to this, then you are a murderer!"

Han Mo Tuyet turned around and took the car keys from the tea table.

“Okay, I'll go with you.”

Trinh Van Chieu was stunned. Clearly she did not expect Han Mo Tuyet to agree so decisively. According to her script, Han Mo Tuyet had to coldly refuse until the end, then she officially recorded the clip and continued to defame her online.

“Let's go, why are you standing there blankly?”

Han Mo Tuyet went downstairs, without even glancing at her, walking straight into the rain. Top floor of the inpatient treatment area of General Hospital No. 1. Outside the door of the VIP room, Luu Que Phuong was sitting on a bench wiping tears from her eyes. Seeing Han Mo Tuyet coming, she stood up like a spring and pointed straight at her face, intending to curse.

“Aunt Luu.” Han Mo Tuyet stopped her before she could react.

“If you want your son to stop breathing right now, just scream here.”

Luu Que Phuong had to swallow back the curses, choking until his face turned red. Han Mo Tuyet pushed open the hospital room door and walked in. The room smelled of disinfectant and a strong aura of death. Tham Bach Chu lay on the hospital bed, his hand was hooked up to an IV tube, and his nose was hooked up to an oxygen tube. He was skinny, his eye sockets were sunken, his cheekbones were prominent. Hearing the noise, he tried to turn his head. The moment he saw Han Mo Tuyet, his already dull eyes suddenly lit up with an extremely intense light. Like a drowning man reaching for a stake.

“Mo Tuyet…”

He propped himself up to sit up, pulling the monitor at the head of the bed and nearly toppling over.

“Don't move.” Han Mo Tuyet walked to the bed and looked down at him from above.

“Finally, I'm willing to come visit you.” He smiled, the smile of a complacent madman.

"You know I still have you in my heart. You're just angry with me, right?"

He trembled and reached out, wanting to hold her wrist.

"Can you come back with me? As long as you agree, I will do the surgery. For the rest of my life, I will only revolve around you."

This is his calculation. Using his life as bait, he forcibly pulled her to his side. As long as she agrees, he will feel like he has won, he is still Captain Tham who can manipulate her life. She looked at his twisted face.

“Tham Bach Chu, do you really think this cruel and humiliating trick of yours is unbeatable in the world?”

The smile on his face disappeared.

“I don't understand what you're saying.”

She pulled a USB from her pocket and gently placed it on the pillow on his hospital bed. The air in the hospital room seemed to freeze at that moment.

“What is this?”

Tham Bach Chu looked at the silver USB, a flash of panic flashed through his eyes.

“This is the trump card you use to touch yourself.”

Han Mo Tuyet pulled out a chair and sat down in front of his hospital bed. Hands clasped together and placed on knees.

“Tham Bach Chu, do you really think I've been at home these past few years, just an idiot who only knows how to cook?”

She looked at his pale face, picking out each word.

"End-stage stomach cancer? Tumor compressing blood vessels? You bribed the head doctor of that private hospital to make a fake medical record, thinking you could fool everyone?"
