Chapter 30 — Eight Years Change One Time Letting Go

Updated 10/08/2026 3 min read

Ly Na's eyes swept around her body, stopping at her jacket without any brand logo. She covered her mouth and smirked.

"I heard you divorced Captain Tham? Did you run to Dali to open some ragged motel?"

She deliberately raised her voice.

"Hey, women are really short-sighted. Look at Trinh Van Chieu, although she quit her job, she is now a full-time boss. And you? Leave Captain Tham alone, are you struggling so much that you can't even buy a brand-name outfit?"

The complacency in her eyes was almost overflowing.

“Are you done talking yet?” Han Mo Tuyet looked at her, like she was watching a clown act.

“You keep arguing.” Ly Na snorted coldly, "Today my husband just became a captain and took me to Beijing for vacation. What about you? Surely you don't have to go to the airport to clean the air conditioner?"

Giang Du Bach finished the deposit procedure and walked closer, naturally wrapping his arms around her waist.

“Meet someone you know?” He bowed his head and asked her.

"I'm not used to it, just a free person in the old world."

Ly Na saw Giang Du Bach's face, was stunned for a moment, then a flash of jealousy flashed through.

“He looks handsome, but unfortunately he's just the type to cling to women's skirts.” She was sarcastic.

Giang Du Bach didn't even glance at her. He pulled a black card straight from his pocket and handed it to the ground staff manager standing next to him.

“Would you mind arranging the VIP entrance for us?”

The ground staff manager saw that card and his face immediately became extremely respectful.

"Hello Mr. Giang! Your VIP lounge has been prepared, the flight route has also been reported, you can take off at any time."

Ly Na's eyes widened.

"What kind of VIP passage? Don't you guys have to buy economy class tickets?"

The ground staff manager politely turned to Ly Na: "Miss, Mr. Giang traveled by Hoan Vu Group's private jet, not the normal route."

“Hoan Vu Group?!” Ly Na took a deep breath of cold air.

That is the leading airline capitalist alliance in the country, even the airline her husband is working for has half of their shares. Giang Du Bach calmly looked at her.

“What is your husband's name?”

Ly Na took a step back in fear, stammering speechless.

“Forget it, I have no interest in knowing.” Giang Du Bach hugged her waist and walked towards the VIP entrance.

“Ah yes.” He suddenly stopped walking and turned back to look at Ly Na whose face was pale.

"Han Mo Tuyet is now not a rundown motel owner. She is the Chief Partner of the high-end cultural tourism segment of Hoan Vu Group."

“When you meet my wife in the future, remember to show a little respect.”

They entered the reserved path, slammed the door, locking Ly Na's face distorted in surprise outside.

“Giang Du Bach, you knew she would come and cause trouble, right?” She looked at him.

“I just don't like anyone standing in front of me, talking to you with that attitude.”

He took her hand and walked to the plane stairs.

“Are you nervous?”

"With you here, I'm not afraid of reaching a height of ten thousand meters, so why should I be afraid of appearing to your parents?" She squeezed his hand tightly.

... In early autumn in Dali, the wind beside Erhai Lake carries the sweet scent of cinnamon flowers. Today is the ribbon cutting day to inaugurate the 5th branch of Homestay Snow White – named “Return” (Place to Return). It was also the day Han Mo Tuyet and Giang Du Bach held their wedding. There were no business tycoons as guests, no annoying media following and filming. There were only regular guests of the homestay, Nam Chi, and Giang Du Bach's parents who had come all the way from Beijing. She sat in the makeup room on the second floor, looking at herself wearing a light wedding dress in the mirror. Nam Chi stood next to her and helped her adjust her skirt, her eyes were red.
