Chapter 15
Chapter 15 — Ex-Wife Reincarnated
I was about to refuse, but I saw Luc Than Vu stop on the stairs and look back at me with warning eyes. I changed my mind. "Okay." Tham Dinh Uyen smiled. "The living room is at the end of the second floor. It's all cleaned up." "Thank." I hugged Binh An upstairs. Passing by Luc Than Vu and Ly Hieu Vi's room, the door was open, they were talking.
"Than Vu, why is she here..."
“Shut up!”
The door slammed shut. I didn't stop walking, went to the last room, opened the door, went inside, locked the door, and locked it. Then, leaning back against the door, let out a long breath. Tired, really tired. An hour later, someone knocked on the door. Very mild, but continuous. I didn't open it, pretending to sleep. Outside, Tham Dinh Uyen's voice rang out. “Than Vu, what are you doing here?” Luc Than Vu's voice was a bit panicked. “Mr. Uyen, I... I went to the wrong room.”
“Your room is on the other side.”
“Ah, yes… I drank a bit too much.”
The sound of footsteps fades away. Outside the door became quiet again. I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. The next morning, I went downstairs. Luc Than Vu and Ly Hieu Vi were sitting in the dining room. Tham Dinh Uyen sat on the sofa, reading the newspaper. Seeing me down, he looked up. "Good morning." "Good morning." I walked around the dining room, straight into the kitchen. The worker brought me fresh milk and fried eggs. “Miss To, your breakfast.” "Thank." I picked up the plate and walked out into the yard. I didn't want to eat at the same table as Luc Than Vu. I couldn't swallow it. Binh An ran over, jumped on the chair opposite me, and looked longingly at the egg.
“Want to eat?” “Woof~” I broke off a piece of egg white and gave it to him. It ate happily, its tail wagging.
“It's easy to satisfy.” I said softly.
“Before, he only ate what I fed him.” Tham Dinh Uyen's voice spoke from behind. I turned around and he walked over holding a cup of coffee. “Now there's more of you.” he said.
I didn't reply. He sat down and looked at Binh An. “He likes you.”
"Probably because I often feed it."
“Not only that.” Tham Dinh Uyen said, "Animals can feel people's hearts."
I bowed my head and ate eggs.
“About last night, I'm sorry.” he said.
“It has nothing to do with you.”
“What happens in my house is my business.”
I raised my head to look at him. “Mr. Shen.”
“Hmm?”
“Why did you help me?”
He laughed. “Because Binh An likes you.”
“Just for that?”
“Isn't this reason enough?” He asked back.
Enough, but not enough. But I don't ask anymore. There are some things that if asked too clearly, it will be lost. After eating breakfast, I went back to my room to pack my things and prepare to go home. When I went downstairs, Luc Than Vu was waiting at the door.
“Let's talk.” he said.
“Not available.”
“To Van!”
I pushed past him and went out. He reached out and grabbed my wrist, the force was terrifying. “I told you to stop!” I turned around and pushed his hand away. “Mr. Luc,” I said clearly, “We are divorced.”
“Once you get divorced, you can't talk?!”
“What are you talking about?” I asked, "Talk about how you kicked me out of the house empty-handed? Talk about how you brought the little tam home? Or talk about how you forced me to give up the baby?!"
His face was pale. “The baby thing… can you explain…”
“No need to explain.” I replied, “The baby is no more.”
“What?”
“I said,” I looked straight into his eyes, “Your child, it's gone.”
Luc Than Vu turned to stone on the spot, as if struck by lightning. “No way…” He muttered, “You lied to me…”
“Why should I deceive you?” I laughed, "Luc Than Vu, are you worthy?"
He took a step back, his eyes broken. “No… it can't be… Obviously you…”
“Clear what?” I asked, "Should I obediently wait for you to remarry? Should I hold back my nausea to watch you and Ly Hieu Vi make love? Should I treat your stepchild as a piece of gold to raise?"
“Luc Than Vu.”
“You keep dreaming.”
