Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Ex-Wife Reincarnated
My house. Those three words were like a needle piercing my eardrum.
"That's right," Luc Than Vu remembered something, "Hieu Vi is now in the master bedroom, you're temporarily in the guest room. Tomorrow I'll have someone move you an apartment..."
“No need.” I interrupted, “I'll leave now.”
Both of them were stunned. “Now?” Luc Than Vu looked at his watch, "It's 10 pm, where are you going?"
“What does it have to do with you?” I picked up the small bag from the ground, "Mr. Luc, we are divorced."
Ly Hieu Vi quickly said: "Sister, don't be impulsive, it's cold outside, you're pregnant..."
“Child?” I looked at Luc Than Vu, "Mr. Luc, have you ever cared about my baby?"
His face changed slightly. "Van Van, I told you, when Hieu Vi's child is born, we will remarry. Your child is still the eldest son of the Luc family..."
“It's an illegitimate child, right?” I asked.
He pursed his lips.
“Or,” I continued, “Are you planning on waiting for Ly Hieu Vi's child to have household registration before letting my child be an illegitimate child?”
“To Van!” He got angry, “Why are you being so unreasonable!”
Nonsense. It turned out that in his eyes, my request for fairness was unreasonable.
“Okay.” I nodded, "I'm unreasonable. So now I'm going to leave, so as not to upset you guys."
I turned and walked downstairs.
“You stop there for me!” Luc Than Vu chased after him, "In the middle of the night, what are you doing to get angry!"
I walked to the door and changed my shoes. He grabbed my wrist, the force was very strong.
“Let go.” I said.
"To Van, I warn you, once you step out of this door, don't come back and beg me!"
I raised my head to look at him. This face, I have loved for 5 years. Now it just feels so strange.
“Luc Than Vu,” I said word by word, “I ask you one last thing.”
His face softened: "You say it."
“Let go.”
He stiffened. I withdrew my hand and pulled the door open. The cold wind howled in.
“To Van!” He shouted behind him, “You will regret it!”
I didn't turn back, walking straight into the night. The villa door slammed shut behind. Um. A dull sound. 5 years of me and Luc Than Vu were locked inside. Pulling my suitcase, I walked on the path of the villa area. Street lights are dim. There were fireworks in the distance, each cluster exploding one after another. Today is the wedding anniversary, the night of reunion. I rubbed my belly. “Baby, I'm sorry, I only have you.” The baby in her belly moved once, as if responding. I went to the gate of the residential area. The security guard recognized me: "Madam Luc, are you still going out this late?"
“Yes.”
“Do you need me to call a car for you?”
“No need, I want to walk a bit.”
He hesitated and wanted to stop talking, but finally opened the gate. I walked out of the villa area and stood on the side of a deserted road. The ride-hailing app displays: there are 48 people in line. 10:30 p.m., anniversary night. There won't be any cars. I glanced at my phone. Battery remaining 22%. No missed calls, no messages. Luc Than Vu never looked for me. He probably thought I would be like before, angry and then go home. I put my phone away, pulled my suitcase, followed the road, and walked slowly. The stomach is a bit heavy, but the steps are very steady. I know where I have to go.

Chapter 3 Hospital emergency room, bright lights. On holiday night, there weren't many people. Doctor on duty is a middle-aged woman, wearing glasses. She looked at my stomach, then at my face.
“Where is the discomfort?”
“I want to abort the pregnancy.” I said very calmly.
The doctor froze, his pen stopped on the medical record book. “Can you say it again?”
“I'm 21 weeks pregnant,” My voice didn't change, “I want to have abortion surgery.”
She put down her pen. “Are you going alone?”
“Yes.”
“Where is your husband?”
“It's dead.”
The doctor was silent. She looked at me for a few seconds, stood up, poured a cup of warm water, and pushed it over. “Warm your hands first.” Warm water. My hands are shaking.
