In the early afternoon, Pho Canh Tham finally couldn't help but call. I picked up the phone and was about to tell him to stop sending roses from now on, when I heard him cough faintly. I frowned, before my reason could speak, my mouth blurted out first:

“How are you?”

I'm a bit annoyed because of my subconscious concern for him. Pho Canh Tham smiled contentedly on the phone and said softly: "I have a very high fever right now, can you come visit me?"

"If you have a high fever or are sick, there is a doctor. What's the use of looking for me? I can't find one." I coldly refused and was about to hang up.

The nurse's worried voice sounded on the other end of the line: "Miss Hua, please go see the Deputy General. If he doesn't see you, he won't give you an injection or take medicine. He's about to have a brain-damaging fever!" I was annoyed and seriously warned Pho Canh Tham not to use these tricks to make things difficult for me: "If I don't want to meet, I don't want to meet. No matter how much trouble you make, it's useless!"

"Then I'll wait until you come. If I can't wait, I won't come back."

Deputy Canh Tham is still stubborn, his stubbornness gives me a headache. I took a deep breath and finally rushed to the hospital. But unexpectedly, when I arrived, the hospital bed was crowded with relatives. His face darkened, clearly he did not expect them to come. I don't know these relatives, they seem to be distant relatives. But if I arrived, I had to nod and say hello. A few relatives saw me, their attitude still as disgusted as before, and began to sarcastically say:

“The husband is sick and has collapsed, but a wife like you is now leisurely coming, don't you think it's too much!”

"That's right. I've never seen anyone as irresponsible as you, why don't you quickly pour him a glass of warm water? If you're like you, sooner or later we will be kicked out by the Pho family!"

After listening, I wasn't angry, I just found it funny. It turns out there are still people who don't know that he and I are divorced. Pho Canh Tham coughed twice, had difficulty breathing, looked at them coldly: "Everyone, don't scold her. After visiting, go home, you need to rest!" Those people clearly didn't expect him to have this attitude. Surprised, one person lowered his voice and said: "She is a woman with a heart and a beautiful face. Don't be fooled by her."

“Don't forget how much you hated him before, he used tricks to climb up and marry you!”

“Everyone, stop talking!”

Deputy Canh Tham was really mad, interrupting them coldly: "Like a fish drinking hot and cold water, you know how you and Hua Ninh Chi live together without needing anyone to control you. GET OUT!" This was the first time I saw him protecting me in front of relatives, trying his best to scold the other person, as if what they said was unfair to me and he felt so sorry. Looking at that scene, the corner of my eyes flashed a few rays of sadness. I don't understand why you and I always miss each other. If you had protected me like that before, I would have wholeheartedly followed you to death, not with a broken heart like now. Waiting for the relatives to be chased away, I walked over, looked at his sick and sullen appearance, and asked: "Why is the fever so high?" Pho Canh Tham smiled: "In the past, you used to stay up all night knitting scarves for me. The housekeeper told me you knitted all night without stopping, your hands were so stiff. I also wanted to knit one for you, but for some reason I fell ill." He looked at the distorted scarf on the bedside table, his eyes clearly showing embarrassment shy. I was stunned, not daring to believe that a person like him would knit a scarf. Is this still the Pho Canh Tham I know? I walked over, picked up the towel and flipped it back and forth, my expression extremely complicated. Pho Canh Tham didn't know what I was thinking, he looked very tense, as if he was afraid that I would blurt out a sarcastic comment and hate him. But I didn't want to say anything, I hugged the towel in my arms: "I accept. Remember to take all the medicine, you will probably feel better tomorrow."
