I hold the phone. Look at the blinding white walls of the hospital.

“I'm at the hospital.”

Co Thua Trach's voice lowered.

“I asked who you met.”

Duong Thanh stood next to me. Eyebrows immediately rose. I gently raised my hand to signal her not to speak.

“I see the doctor.”

“Even the people waiting in line to be examined.”

He said coldly:

“Don't beat around the bush with me.”

“What do you want to ask anyway?”

On the other end of the line, the sound of a lighter was heard. Co Thua Trach rarely smokes in front of me. But every time I get frustrated. He's all like that. He said:

“Someone told me.”

“I'm consulting with a divorce lawyer.”

I turned to look at Duong Thanh. Her expression immediately changed. Obviously he didn't expect the news to spread so quickly. I don't deny it.

“Aren't I allowed to ask?”

Co Thua Trach's voice immediately rose.

“Giang Tri Dao!”

“Are you crazy?”

Someone in the hallway turned their head to look this way. I leaned over. Quietly walked to the window.

“I just came for advice.”

"What advice? I won't let you lack food or clothing?"

I bowed my head and looked at the hospital bill in my hand. I squeezed the edge of the paper until it formed a crease.

"I pay for prenatal checkups myself, I buy nutritious food myself, and I swipe the card myself for maternity clothes."

He impatiently replied:

"Again. Every day you only talk about money."

I calmly said:

“Because money is the thing that shows most clearly... whether a person is sincere or not.”

Co Thua Trach smiled coldly.

"Okay, you want to calculate it, right? So have you calculated the house loan, electricity and water bills, management fees, and all household expenses?"

"That house is the property I bought before marriage, and the documents don't have your name on it."

He was silent for a second. I continue:

"I also have a full transfer history for electricity and water bills and management fees. Most of the money to buy food and household appliances is paid by me."

The other end of the line was completely silent. First time. In this dialogue. I am the one who takes the initiative. I didn't feel satisfied at all. Co Thua Trach lowered his voice.

“When did you start recording these things?”

I looked out the window. Downstairs of the hospital. An ambulance just rushed in. The shrill sound of a siren rents the air.

“Since the day I transferred you 600 yuan in compensation money.”

He said:

“You are so scary.”

I gently closed my eyes.

“Co Cheng Ze.”

“The scary thing is not that I keep a record.”

“It's that you're pregnant with my child, but you're forced to rely on bookkeeping to protect yourself.”

He said nothing. I continued:

“The examination results are out today.”

“You're a little smaller than standard.”

“The doctor told me to increase my nutrition and stay mentally relaxed.”

He also asked a question.

“Is it serious?”

Listening to the concerns that came too late. In my heart. There was no longer any ripple of emotion.

“Not serious.”

He seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

“Then stop thinking nonsense.”

“Go home and rest.”

“Do you want to see the results of the examination?”

He paused for a moment.

“I'll see when I get home tonight.”

After hanging up. Duong Thanh was so angry that he walked back and forth twice.

“Who told him?”

“I just said I would make an appointment with a lawyer, but I haven't even texted yet.”

I put my phone away.

“Not sure from the side uncle."

Duong Thanh frowned.

“So who else?”

I suddenly remembered the woman in the red dress. If she had dared to send pictures. Even sent a photo of the money transfer. The purpose is not simply to see me suffer. She wants me to be mad. Want me to ruin this marriage. Co Thua Trach found out about the lawyer so quickly. That proves it. Someone added fuel to the fire in front of him.

“Just make an appointment with lawyer Tham first.”

“The sooner the better.”

Duong Thanh nodded.

“I will contact you immediately.”

Afternoon. We met lawyer Tham Lam at a coffee shop near the hospital. She wore a gray suit. Hair neatly tied into a bun. Talk decisively. No beating around the bush. I pushed the file bag over. Inside is a receipt for the prenatal checkup. Photos of wire transfers. Photo of bank card balance. With the entire chat history printed out. Tham Lam watched very slowly. Each turn adds a page. Her eyebrows furrowed a little tighter.

“How long have you two been married?”

“More than a year.”

“The house was bought before marriage?”

“After getting married, will you both pay the home loan together?”

“He said the loan money was deducted directly from his salary card, I never managed it.”

Tham Lam nodded.

"You still have the right to request division of the loan payment during the marriage and the corresponding increase in value."

My fingertips trembled slightly. Duong Thanh immediately asked:

“His salary is 2 million yuan a year, but he doesn't let his wife know his salary card, what should I do?”

Tham Lam looked at me.

“Do you know his company, his position and the bank he usually uses?”

“Know part of it.”

“I also have a photo of the spending notification message.”

She flipped to photos of clubhouse receipts and designer watches.

“These are helpful.”

“But it's still not enough.”

“What do you need to do?”

Tham Lam closed the file.

“First.”

“Don't hit the snake and move the grass.”

“Continue to keep all payment documents and chat history.”

“All medical, care, and stay costs before and after birth must be saved in full.”

“If it involves transferring money to another woman during the marriage, try to get clear evidence.”
