Five years after the wedding, right on the anniversary, the whole Ha Trieu village organized a small festival to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Cua Vong lighthouse officially becoming the first pilot station for the combined operating model across the country, and also to celebrate the marriage of Hoai An and Khoi. This is not an officially organized large event, but a cozy gathering voluntarily prepared by the fishing village community, as a tribute to the family that has brought so many positive changes to this land.

"I didn't expect five years to pass so quickly," Hoai An told Khoi, as they stood together in front of the lighthouse yard decorated with small strips of lights, preparing to welcome guests.

"Me too," Khoi replied, putting his arm around his wife's shoulder affectionately. "But looking back, I see that each passing year has brought new meanings — the investigation, the wedding, the birth of Hai Yen, then Dang Hai, the training center, your book. Our lives have become so much richer than I ever dared to dream."

That evening, each of the familiar guests arrived one after another - Ms. Tu Nhan, Mr. Nam Vong, Mr. Nghia and his family, many former students of the training center who have now become official lightkeepers at other stations, and even Hoai An's parents from afar also promptly arranged to attend.

When everyone was seated, Father Hoai An stood up, raised his glass of water, his eyes filled with pride as he looked at his daughter and son-in-law. "Five years ago, when my daughter first told me about the survey mission at Cua Vong, I had no idea that the mission would change her life, and our lives," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "Seeing what you two have built together — a happy family, a meaningful legacy for an entire profession — makes me more proud than I ever expected."

Mr. Nam Vong, when it was his turn, shared memorable memories from the first days when Hoai An first arrived at Cua Vong. "I still remember, the first day I took Ms. Hoai An to the lighthouse, she kept asking me all sorts of questions, curious about everything," he said, his voice full of warm nostalgia. "At that time, I never thought that young engineer would become an indispensable part of our community."

Mr. Nghia, standing up when it was his turn, smiled and looked towards Khoi and Hoai An. "I still vividly remember the first time I received Hoai An's report about Cua Vong," he said. "At that time, I just thought it was an excellent technical report. But as time went on, I realized more and more that it was not just a report, but the beginning of a revolution in the way we view the role of humans in the maritime industry."

Ms. Tu Nhan, unable to hide her emotions, spoke last. "I've lived in this village all my life, witnessed many generations come and go," she said, her voice shaking. "But I have never felt as proud as when I saw these two children, along with two young grandchildren, bringing a new vitality to this whole street. Thank you two, for choosing this place as your home, for considering us as family."

Hoai An, unable to hold back her emotional tears at those sincere words of sharing, stood up, her hand holding Khoi's hand tightly. "We're the ones who should be thanking everyone," she said, her voice choked up. "If it weren't for the love and protection of this whole community, we probably wouldn't have been able to overcome the challenges throughout our journey. Thank you for always trusting and supporting us, from the first difficult days until today."

Khoi, standing next to his wife, continued, his voice filled with emotion. "Five years ago, I was a closed-minded man, carrying the burden of self-blame for two years," he said. "But thanks to Hoai An, thanks to everyone here, I have rediscovered the light, rediscovered the true meaning of life. I hope my family's story will continue to inspire many others, that no matter how long the darkness lasts, the light of truth and love will eventually find its way back."

The party continued in a warm, bustling atmosphere, bustling laughter mixed with folk music and the sound of ocean waves lapping in the distance. Hai Yen and Dang Hai ran around the yard, playing with other children in the village. Their clear, innocent laughter echoed throughout the space, like a living testament to the continuation of a story written from truth, courage, and love.

When the party gradually subsided late at night, after the two children were put to bed by Mrs. Tu Nhan, Hoai An and Khoi stood alone at the top of the lighthouse tower, where they could look over the entire Ha Trieu village bathed in warm light below.

"Five years, two children, a training center, a model replicated throughout the country," Hoai An said softly, leaning her head on her husband's shoulder. "I never thought my life could be so complete and happy."

"And I believe, this is just the beginning, there are many better things waiting ahead," Khoi replied, squeezing his wife's hand tightly, his eyes looking out at the vast dark sea outside, where the lighthouse light still regularly swept across, guiding the ships still floating to find their way back to the dock.

They stood there, in the middle of the familiar light booth that witnessed their entire journey - from their first cautious meeting, to the fateful stormy night when Khoi let go of the burden of self-blame, to the marriage proposal, to the birth of their two children - silently enjoying this rare moment of peace.

"Do you remember, the first time you walked in here, you didn't even know how to start a conversation with me?" Khoi asked, his voice full of nostalgia, a light smile on his lips.

"Do you remember," Hoai An replied, laughing at the memory. "You were so cold at that time that I thought, maybe I'll have to stay here in a tense atmosphere all week."

"I'm sorry for treating you like that in the early days," Khoi said, turning to look at his wife with sincere eyes. "But I'm glad you didn't give up, and waited patiently until I was ready to open up."

"I'm also glad I didn't give up," Hoai An replied, resting her head on her husband's shoulder. "Because if I give up, I'll miss out on the most wonderful man, the most meaningful life I've ever had."

They stood there for a long time, watching the moonlight reflecting sparklingly on the sea surface, listening to the familiar murmuring sound of waves, fully feeling the peace of this memorable moment, before Khoi spoke up to break the silence.

“We should get down,” he said, smiling. "The children are probably looking for us, and Mrs. Tu Nhan is probably preparing the anniversary cake."

Hoai An nodded, took her husband's hand, and walked down the spiral staircase with him, returning to the warm party waiting below, where the laughter of the children and the beloved fishing village community was resounding, welcoming another meaningful milestone in their family's journey.

As soon as they got down to the yard, Hai Yen ran over, holding a small cake with candles in it. "Mom, Mrs. Tu Nhan made an anniversary cake for my parents!" The little girl exclaimed excitedly, pulling her mother's hand towards the banquet table.

The whole crowd sang the congratulatory song together, the flickering candlelight reflected on the radiant faces of Hoai An and Khoi as they blew out the small candle together, amid bustling applause and warm blessings from everyone present.

"Wishing you two forever happiness, forever being the guiding light for this whole community," Mrs. Tu Nhan said, her voice trembling with emotion, hugging both husband and wife tightly.

Dang Hai, not wanting to be left behind, also ran over, hugging his parents' legs, his voice begging to be carried high. Khoi bent down, picked up both children, stood in Hoai An's arms, creating a warm family scene under the shimmering lanterns of the anniversary party.

"Thank you everyone, for always being by our side," Hoai An said, her voice filled with emotion, looking around at the beloved faces that have become an indispensable part of her life. "For a home, a community, and a love that we will forever cherish and preserve throughout this life."
