Chapter 19 — My Driver is No. 1 Young Master in the Capital

The night of the invasion went as planned for the first half hour. Bach Duong, wearing a tight black suit, moved through the security fence outside the shell company building with almost absolute precision, avoiding all the camera blind spots that Dinh Bao Long had previously analyzed. She passed through the ventilation duct and lowered herself into the second floor hallway without a sound, right in the gap between the security team's two patrols.

"I have entered the file storage area." Bach Duong's voice rang out through a secret headset, connecting directly to Bach Tan and Dang Huu Khiem, who were monitoring from a car parked not far away. "Looking for related documents."

But just as she opened the fingerprint-locked filing cabinet using a sophisticated unlocking technique she learned from Dinh Bao Long, the hallway lights suddenly turned on in full light, and the footsteps of not a regular patrol, but dozens of armed men, rang out from all directions.

"This is a trap!" Bach Duong shouted through the headset, immediately realizing that the situation had completely reversed.

"Bach Duong, retreat now!" Bach Tan's voice rang out in panic, but it was too late - dozens of armed men had surrounded the entire exit, and standing in the middle of them, with a cold, triumphant smile, was Luong Ba Tuong.

"Miss Tham Bach Duong, or should I call you young master Viet Cuong's wife?" Luong Ba Tuong said, his voice full of sarcasm. "The rumors of your merger were quite sophisticated, but unfortunately, I was suspicious from the beginning and sent people to spy on all the people who were investigating me. Unexpectedly, it ended up being the Cung family's daughter-in-law."

Bach Duong stood straight, showing no signs of fear even though she was completely surrounded. "You harmed my husband's younger brother with poison and colluded with Han Chi Kien to take over Viet Cuong Group. Do you think you can hide this crime forever?"

"Hide?" Luong Ba Tuong burst into laughter. "I don't need to hide anymore, because after tonight, no one will be left alive to tell this story." He signaled to the armed men. "Arrest her and take her to the designated location."

At the same time, in the surveillance car outside, Bach Tan jumped out of the car before Dang Huu Khiem could stop him, running straight towards the building despite the danger. But before he could reach the main gate, another group of people - clearly arranged to guard against this very possibility - blocked his way, quickly controlled and escorted him into a closed truck.

Two hours later, both Bach Duong and Bach Tan were taken to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city, their hands and feet tied tightly, sitting opposite each other on two chairs a few meters apart. Luong Ba Tuong walked in, followed by Han Chi Kien, both of their faces showed the triumph of those who believed they had complete victory in their hands.

"Finally, both young masters of the two most powerful families in the capital had to kneel before me." Luong Ba Tuong said, his voice filled with arrogance. "Bach Tan, do you think you can fool me by disguising yourself as a driver? I've seen through you for a long time, I'm just waiting for the right moment to strike."

"You failed to kill my brother, what are you going to do next?" Bach Tan asked, his voice sharp and full of indignation even though he was tied up tightly.

"It's simple." Han Chi Kien spoke up, leisurely turning the diamond ring on his finger. "We need you to sign a share transfer document, enough to legally bring Viet Cuong Group into our hands. After that, both of you will be released, and tonight's story will forever be forgotten."

"Do you think I would believe the promise of someone who used poison to harm an innocent child?" Bach Tan smirked, even though in his heart he was urgently calculating every escape plan.

Luong Ba Tuong frowned, walked closer to Bach Duong, his eyes were cold and threatening. "Then perhaps we need a more convincing incentive. If you don't sign, perhaps your wife will suffer the consequences first."

"Don't touch her!" Bach Tan shouted, trying to free himself from the ropes but to no avail.

Bach Duong, despite being tied up tightly, still remained surprisingly calm. "You're wrong, Luong Ba Tuong. You thought you held the advantage, but in reality, you just made the biggest mistake of your life."

"OH?" Luong Ba Tuong raised his eyebrows, his voice full of contempt. "Are you trying to scare me with empty words?"

"It's not just words." Bach Duong replied, her eyes sharp as knives. "Do you know, from the moment I entered this building, my brother Trinh Nam Khuong tracked my entire journey through a hidden positioning device that none of his subordinates discovered? And right now, Bach Thao Duong's security team and Viet Cuong Group's security force all know our exact location."

Luong Ba Tuong's face suddenly changed color, but he quickly regained his composure. "You lied to buy time. If someone was really coming, they would have appeared a long time ago."

"You forget," Bach Duong continued, her voice still surprisingly calm, "a hasty rescue could make you and your accomplices wary and escape before there is enough evidence to arrest you. My senior brother is waiting for the right moment to rush in and arrest you with his hands and forehead, along with all the evidence you just personally confirmed in front of us."

At that moment, in Bach Tan's pocket, even though he was tied up, a small recording device that Dang Huu Khiem had installed before the invasion plan began was still quietly working, recording every confession that had just come out of the mouths of Luong Ba Tuong and Han Chi Kien.

"You just confessed your entire plot, right in front of two living witnesses." Bach Tan said, his voice has now regained its usual sharp calmness. "And I fear, you will soon pay for all you have done."

Luong Ba Tuong and Han Chi Kien exchanged panicked looks, realizing that something had gone astray from their plan. "Check your surroundings now!" Luong Ba Tuong shouted loudly and ordered his subordinates.

A subordinate quickly searched Bach Tan's body, found a small recording device hidden in his collar, pulled it out and gave it to Luong Ba Tuong. He took it, crushed it under the heel of his shoe, his face changed from triumph to an unprecedented cold cruelty.

"So you guys recorded my confession." He said, his voice shaking with anger mixed with panic. “But the device has been destroyed, and now, you will have no chance to get that evidence out again. I was too lenient when I tried to negotiate. Now, there is no other choice but to deal with both of you right here.”

"Are you planning to kill us tonight?" Bach Tan asked, his voice still remaining calm even though the situation had become more dangerous than ever.

"A fire accident at an abandoned warehouse, no one can trace it." Luong Ba Tuong replied, his eyes were cold and chilling, signaling his subordinates to prepare flammable materials. "Unfortunately, the two of you were so curious that it cost you your lives."

Bach Duong glanced at Bach Tan, a silent exchange of eyes that only the two of them could understand - it was time to not wait for any more help from the outside, but to act on their own to escape this dangerous situation before it was too late.

While his subordinates were busy carrying fuel barrels into the warehouse, Bach Duong quietly mobilized her internal strength, gently squeezing her tied wrists in a special way that only those who had practiced martial arts since childhood could grasp - the technique of shrinking the wrist joints in an instant that her master had taught her to escape all types of ropes. The rope loosened enough for her to slide her arms out, but she was in no rush to act, waiting for the right moment to maximize the advantage of surprise.

"Luong Ba Tuong." Bach Tan spoke up, deliberately delaying the time, his voice filled with purposeful provocation. "Do you think burning this warehouse will erase all traces? You forgot that, ever since the fake merger deal was launched, Dai Phong's stock value has fluctuated abnormally in the market. Investors and financial supervision agencies are all keeping an eye on strange transactions related to Han Chi Kien's company. Our death tonight will only make them investigate deeper, not stop them."

Han Chi Kien frowned, clearly Bach Tan's words touched a real concern. "He's right, Luong Ba Tuong. If we kill them now, all suspicion will fall on us immediately."

"Once we get to this point, there's no turning back!" Luong Ba Tuong shouted, panic clouding his reason. "Do it now!"

At that moment, Bach Duong acted. She completely withdrew her hands from the rope, her right hand as quick as lightning pulled out the silver brooch hidden in her sleeve, rushed straight towards the subordinate who was holding the lighter, preparing to light the fuse, hitting him precisely on the wrist, causing the lighter to fall to the ground. At the same time, she kicked off the chair she was sitting on, used her own counterforce to stand up, and gracefully dodged the two men who rushed to catch her.

"Bach Qin, your rope!" She shouted, at the same time throwing at him a small sharp piece of metal pulled out from the sole of her shoe that she always kept hidden.

Bach Tan caught the piece of metal and quickly cut his rope. Although he did not have high martial arts skills like Bach Duong, many years of training his physical strength and reflexes as a business leader also helped him be agile enough to dodge the first attack and counterattack with a precise punch at an oncoming subordinate.

The warehouse became a chaotic battlefield, screams and collisions rang out everywhere. But the number of Luong Ba Tuong's subordinates was too large. Even though Bach Duong and Bach Tan had defeated nearly half, there were still more than a dozen men surrounding them, gradually forcing them both into a corner with no way to retreat.

"Capture that girl alive, kill that guy!" Luong Ba Tuong shouted from afar, hiding behind his subordinates, not daring to directly enter the fight. Han Chi Kien quietly retreated to the back door, clearly wanting to escape before the situation got out of control.

Bach Duong, even though she had defeated many opponents, was also starting to get tired, a small cut on her arm was bleeding because she could not dodge a knife in time. Bach Tan stood back to back with her, both facing the tightening siege, with no clear escape route ahead.

"We need a plan, now." Bach Tan said, his breathing was rapid but his eyes still did not lose determination.

"I have an idea." Bach Duong replied, her eyes quickly glanced at the fuel tanks left behind near the main door, a reckless plan but possibly her only chance was gradually forming in her mind.
