Ton Khai Vu walked into the emergency room, placed a small wooden box on the table, opened the lid to reveal dark brown pills carefully wrapped in oiled paper, and a few pre-prepared dried herbs. "Just as you said, this is Thien Tam Ancient Poison, a poison extracted from the roots of the Anise plant combined with the venom of a rare insect. It only works slowly through the digestive tract, directly attacking the heart and central nervous system. This poison is almost lost, only recorded in the ancient medical books of Bach Thao Duong."

"So how to detoxify?" Bach Duong asked, already starting to prepare needles and necessary tools.

"Combined with acupuncture to stimulate circulation, and at the same time give the specially prepared antidote in this box. But the most important thing is to do the acupuncture points in the correct order, one wrong step can cause the toxins to spread faster." Ton Khai Vu replied, his eyes seriously looking at his younger sister. "Are you confident that you can do it? This is a difficult case, even I need to concentrate."

"I believe in what master taught." Bach Duong replied, her voice was firm without any hesitation.

The two of them coordinated smoothly, Ton Khai Vu assisted in mixing medicine in the right proportion while Bach Duong focused her entire mind on acupuncture. Each needle was inserted into the correct acupuncture point with absolute precision - the Noi Quan acupuncture point to stabilize the heart rate, the Than Mon acupoint to calm the mind, the Tuc Tam Ly acupuncture point to increase blood circulation. Sweat beaded on her forehead from intense concentration, but her hands did not tremble even for a moment.

Outside the emergency room, Bach Tan and Cung Vinh Thanh stood silently watching through the glass window, not daring to breathe loudly, for fear of disrupting the concentration of those inside who were saving Bach Nhan's life. Every minute passed as heavy as a century.

The hospital's team of doctors stood behind, initially skeptical of the unfamiliar traditional method, but when they saw the indicators on the monitor begin to show signs of improvement after each needle injection, they gradually changed from skepticism to amazement and admiration. A young doctor standing nearby whispered to his colleague: "I have never seen a method that intervenes so quickly in a case of unknown poisoning. Where did she learn this medical technique?"

No one could answer that question, only Bach Tan, standing silently outside the glass door, felt his heart being squeezed between worry for his younger brother and surprise mixed with gratitude for the woman who was doing her best to save people inside that room.

After nearly an hour of tension, the heart rate monitor began to beep more regularly, Bach Nhan's pale face gradually turned rosy. His eyes opened slightly, although still weak, there were signs of regaining consciousness.

"You… you two?" Bach Nhan whispered, his eyes dimly searching for a familiar face.

Bach Tan rushed into the room as soon as he was allowed, holding his brother's hand tightly, his voice choked with emotion. "I'm here. You're okay, just rest."

Cung Vinh Thanh also walked in, his eyes were red, his trembling hands stroked his youngest son's hair. The whole family was immersed in an indescribably emotional moment, just a few hours ago they were on the verge of losing a member, now a miracle happened thanks to the hands of a woman they had only known a few weeks ago.

"Thank you." Cung Vinh Thanh turned to Bach Duong, his voice trembling with sincere emotion. "You saved my son's life. The Cung family will never forget this grace."

"This is the responsibility of a person who knows medical techniques when seeing someone in distress." Bach Duong replied, her voice was humble but her eyes shone with obvious relief. "The important thing now is to find out who poisoned Bach Nhan, and how such a mysterious poison appeared."

Her words made the atmosphere in the room slacken. Ton Khai Vu nodded in agreement. "That's right. Thien Tam Ancient Poison is not a poison that everyone can access. Only a few traditional medical families, or people with deep connections to the anonymous gangster world, are capable of preparing this type of poison. The person behind this poisoning is definitely not an ordinary person."

Bach Tan clenched his hands, his eyes cold. If such a rare and sophisticated poison was used to target his younger brother, it meant that the traitor in the corporation was not simply smuggling information out for financial gain, but was willing to use the most cruel tricks to achieve his goals. This was no longer a silent investigation, but had become a real battle of life and death.

"I will find out who is behind this." He said, his voice sharp and filled with determination. "At any cost."

Cung Vinh Thanh placed his hand on his son's shoulder, his eyes both sad and serious. "I believe in you. But from now on, be doubly careful. Someone who dares to use a lost poison to harm an innocent child like Bach Nhan will definitely stop at nothing to achieve his goal, even if he knows that you are investigating him."

After Bach Nhan was stabilized and was transferred to the special monitoring room, Cung Vinh Thanh invited Bach Duong and Ton Khai Vu into a private room to talk. His eyes were full of curiosity and respect for the two people who had just demonstrated a medical level far beyond any modern hospital he had ever known.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to ask more about your background." Cung Vinh Thanh said, his voice was polite but full of seriousness. "The kind of medical skills you just demonstrated, I believe not everyone can possess."

Bach Duong glanced at Ton Khai Vu, then turned to Bach Tan standing next to him, his eyes were also waiting for an answer with undisguised curiosity. She took a deep breath, weighing the difference between keeping the family secret and the trust that was slowly forming between her and the people in this room.

"My family has a long tradition of medicine and martial arts." She said, choosing to answer just enough without revealing the whole thing. "We call each other brother and sister because we studied in the same sect since childhood, even though not everyone is blood related. This is Ton Khai Vu, the brother I always respect, currently in charge of a private hospital system."

Ton Khai Vu nodded slightly in greeting, his eyes discreetly observed the reactions of Cung Vinh Thanh and Bach Tan, assessing whether it was the right time to reveal more about Bach Duong's true family background. He decided to keep silent, leaving the rest of the story for Bach Duong herself to choose the appropriate time.

"Whoever you are, the Cung family owes you a great favor of saving their lives." Cung Vinh Thanh said, his voice sincere. "If there's anything you need in the future, please don't hesitate to ask."

Bach Duong smiled and nodded in thanks, but in her heart, a complicated feeling was rising. She realized that saving Bach Nhan's life had unintentionally drawn her closer to Bach Tan's true world - a world of power, danger, and full of secrets that she became curious to discover, even though she herself was hiding an equally great secret.

On the way back to the apartment that night, Bach Tan glanced at Bach Duong who was sitting quietly next to her, her face clearly showing fatigue after many stressful hours of saving people. "Thank you." He said, his voice more sincere than any thank you he had ever said before. "You saved my brother. I owe you a big favor."

"We are husband and wife, even if only on paper." Bach Duong replied, smiling tiredly. "Helping your family is also helping yourself."

That simple answer made Bach Tan's heart suddenly ache with an emotion that is hard to name - between the thin line of a role and something much more real that is gradually taking shape.

He looked out the car window, the streetlights passing continuously in the night, and thought about what had happened in the past few hours. Just a few weeks ago, Bach Duong was a stranger he met under the most ironic circumstances. Now, she had become the person who saved his younger brother's life, the person who made his father express a rare sincere expression of gratitude, and the person who made him, who had always kept a distance from all relationships to protect his secrets, begin to yearn to tell her the whole truth.

But Bach Tan knew the time was not right. The traitor was still hiding in the shadows, and until he exposed that person, revealing his true identity could put both Bach Duong and her family in unnecessary danger. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel, telling himself to quickly speed up the investigation — not only for the safety of his family, but now also for the woman sitting quietly next to him in this dark night.
