Chapter 25
Chapter 25 — I Have Conceded Enough
"Dad."
“Cannot be canceled.”
“Everyone has arrived.”
“You will be good.”
“I will never fight with my big sister again.”
Dad looked at it for a long time.
“Let's go home first.”
"I'm not coming back."
It turned sharply to Luc Tram Le.
“Mr. Tram Le.”
“Say something.”
“We have been preparing for so long.”
“I can't leave you.”
Luc Tram Le looked at it.
“The wedding is cancelled.”
“What about your second sister?”
It's eyes became sharp.
“Are you planning on going back to find her?”
Luc Tram Le did not answer. Hua Tinh Mien suddenly burst out laughing.
“I knew right away.”
“She's just pretending.”
“She intentionally gave me things.”
“It's to separate the two of you.”
“She never intended to leave.”
Everyone once again turned their eyes to me. Still those familiar eyes. Suspect. Probe. Wait for me to explain. I took out three things from my bag. A bunch of keys to the Ta family. Ta Thi employee card. Along with a metal nameplate. Those things clattered to the platform floor, making a crisp sound.
“I returned my employee card more than a month ago.”
"Everyone always refused to accept it, but today she told Aunt Tran to give it back to me."
“The house key, I left it at the mysterious gate yesterday.”
"The name tag was taken down by me the night I returned home."
I looked at my eldest brother.
“My resignation letter, signed three months ago.”
“If this is also called pretending.”
“Then I'm really deep in acting.”
The eldest brother's pupils shrank slightly.
“Are you really not going to come back?”
“Yes.”
Mom rushed forward.
“Tri Vi.”
“Give me back my room.”
“I will have someone restore the status quo immediately.”
“You can also buy a new one for a sapphire.”
“Position in the company…”
“There is no need.”
“Are you still angry?”
“I'm not angry.”
Mom held my hand.
“So why don't you need it?”
“Because I gave it all away.”
“You can take it back.”
“Mom.”
I looked at her.
“Emotions are not things.”
“If you haven't found it, put it back and you can continue to use it.”
Her hand slowly loosened. Tears fell onto the back of my hand.
“Where are you going?”
“Work.”
“What job?”
To Yen Thu just walked out from behind the stands. She is dressed very formally today, holding a file of documents in her hand.
“Sorry.”
“The flight took off earlier than scheduled.”
“I came to pick you up.”
Seeing her, the eldest brother's face immediately changed color.
“Mrs. To?”
To Yen Thu walked up to me. Give me the documents.
“Confirmation of participation in restoration exhibitions abroad.”
“Let's fly tonight.”
Luc Tram Le looked at me startled.
“Are you going?”
“Yes.”
“When did you decide?”
“Before returning home.”
His face was cut off with no blood left. Hua Tinh Mien was also stunned.
“Are you planning to leave early?”
“Yes.”
“So why did you come back?”
“To cancel the engagement.”
“Resign.”
“Get your grandmother's toolkit back.”
“More.”
I looked at them standing on the podium.
“Personally confirm once.”
“Let's see if you can finally say 'Enough' before I have to give up everything."
No one spoke up. The answer is too clear. Luc Tram Le stepped onto the stage.
“Tri Vi.”
“We can start over.”
I looked at him.
“Why?”
“You I know my mistake."
“Where is the error?”
His lips moved.
"You shouldn't be with Tinh Mien while I'm away."
“Not true.”
“You should not have tacitly agreed to this wedding taking place.”
“That's not true either.”
His face was pale.
“So what is it?”
“My biggest mistake.”
“It's always standing between the two of us.”
“Let's see who can't live without you more.”
“You just didn't turn her down.”
“Didn't choose me either.”
“I'm leaving now.”
“You don't love me for nothing.”
“It's just that no one is fighting for you anymore.”
