Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Recruitment Spots Stolen
Ha Minh Xuyen looked at her.
"Including the candidate's entire complaint."
"Even anonymous emails."
Just heard this sentence. Phuong Man's expression was completely chaotic. The eyes looking at me turned from resentment to panic. She finally understood. I didn't come here to get an assistant general manager position. It's not like an ordinary candidate accidentally walked into this place by mistake. From the moment I sat down on that chair... My goal was never to let her choose. Investigate her. The Inspectorate Manager opened the computer.
"General Director Ha, immediately after receiving notice from the General Director's Office, we conducted a preliminary investigation."
"In the past six months, manager Phuong's interview evaluation forms appeared 27 cases with the same keywords."
"'English is not satisfactory.'"
"'Poor communication skills.'"
"'Image and temperament are not suitable for a high-level position.'"
"'Weak ability to withstand pressure.'"
Having said this, he stopped for a moment.
"There are 16 candidates, according to records, all have experience working abroad or at foreign enterprises."
Phuong Man's throat moved slightly. She was about to open her mouth. But the head of the Legal Department placed another set of documents on the table.
"One more thing."
"The candidate who was eliminated last week filed a complaint with the labor administration."
"In the complaint file, it is clearly stated that during the interview, manager Phuong once said that..."
"If you're still applying for a job at the age of thirty-five, you're just a piece of labor market inventory, no one wants it anymore."
The entire meeting room immediately fell silent. The male interviewer bowed his head. Phuong Man's face was pale. She suddenly turned to him.
"You... ever heard me say that?"
The male interviewer did not look at her.
"I advised you before."
"But you said... it's not my turn to teach you how to work."
Phuong Man's lips trembled. Ha Minh Xuyen spoke coldly.
"Suspended from work."
"From now on, Phuong Man is not allowed to come into contact with any recruitment documents or candidate information."
Phuong Man immediately became frantic.
"General Manager Ha, you can't just listen to one side!"
She pointed straight at me.
"Obviously she came here with a purpose in advance!"
I nodded.
"I really came here with a purpose."
Everyone looked towards me. I picked up the resume on the table.
"Before coming here..."
"I also got something else."
Phuong Man's pupils shrank. I took out a yellow-brown paper envelope from my pocket and placed it on the table. Right on the sealed edge of the envelope were four very clear words. Internal recommendation letter. Phuong Man stared at those four words. His face was even whiter than before. Signature is below. That's her name. The yellow envelope had not yet been opened. But Phuong Man was no longer able to stand. Because more than anyone else, she knows clearly what's inside. Ha Minh Xuyen looked at me.
"Where did you get this document?"
"Last night, someone left it at the front desk of the hotel where I was staying."
I calmly replied.
"Don't leave a name."
"But the documents inside are very complete."
The Head of the Legal Department put on gloves and carefully opened the envelope. The first document is the candidate list. The second document is the recruitment scoring sheet. Document The third is a snapshot of the internal nomination process. The manager of the Inspection Committee just glanced at it and immediately changed his expression.
"General Manager He, this is not the public recruitment list for today's batch."
"This is the expected list of recruitment based on internal referrals."
Ha Minh Xuyen took it. His eyes stopped at the last line of the first page. There is a name written on it. Luc Giai Di. Introducer: Phuong Man. Expected position: Assistant General Director of International Business Department. I glanced at Phuong Man. Her forehead was beaded with sweat.
"Manager Phuong."
"If this position already has someone scheduled to be recruited in advance..."
"So today's candidates came to interview just to complete the process?"
Phuong Man immediately denied.
"Not!"
"It's just an internal nomination document, it doesn't mean that person will be hired."
I nodded.
"So why is it on the scoreboard..."
"Luc Giai Di's overall score has been recorded?"
"While the interview date is tomorrow."
"You haven't arrived yet..."
"But the scores are already there."
The young male interviewer immediately raised his head. He reached out to pick up the copy of the document, and the more he looked at it, the more serious his expression became.
"This score sheet form should only be filled out after the interview ends."
"Someone who has an interview tomorrow cannot get points from today."
Phuong Man gritted her teeth.
"It's just a draft."
I looked straight at her.
"Draft..."
"Does it also say that it has been approved?"
Phuong Man was completely silent. Ha Minh Xuyen flipped through each document page. In the meeting room, there was only the sound of rustling papers. Each time he turned another page. Phuong Man's face became a little whiter. Inside that file... There wasn't just one location. But also related to seven other vacancies in the last three months. There are still public recruitment notices hanging outside. But inside... The recipient is predetermined. Other candidates are still called for interviews. Some people were eliminated because of the English test. Some people are eliminated because of their age. Some people just because of one sentence...
"Temperament does not match the position."
In the end... Those seats all fell into the hands of people whose names were on the list before. Some people are relatives of the manager. Some people are entrusted by their partners. There are even two people... They are the children of Phuong Man's college classmates. The Inspection Committee manager watched faster and faster. Finally, he raised his head to look at Ha Minh Xuyen.
"This is no longer simply an unqualified interview process."
"It's that the entire recruitment process has been manipulated by humans."
At that moment, Phuong Man suddenly burst out.
"I never accepted money!"
Just finished speaking. She herself was stunned. The entire meeting room turned their eyes to her. Me too. She was so scared. So scared that... He said something that no one asked. Ha Minh Xuyen's eyes became even colder.
"No one told you to accept money."
Phuong Man's lips were white. She hurriedly put out the fire.
"I mean... I'm not profiting from this at all."
